Sale-a-Bration Sunday-Peaceful Prints DSP Three Fun Fold Cards-VIDEO

I'm super excited to join you for another project in my Sale-a-Bration Sundays Series!  Every Sunday during Sale-a-Bration I'll feature a different Sale-a-Bration product.  You can join me live in my Facebook VIP Group every Sunday at 9am MT or catch the replay on my YouTube channel.  Today I'm featuring the Peaceful Prints DSP.  This DSP is so versatile.  There's beautiful holiday prints but also prints that would work year round or for masculine cards.  It's a winner for sure!  Today I'm sharing THREE fun fold cards all featuring the Peaceful Prints DSP!

For all three of my cards I started with a piece of DSP that is 4" x 12".  Trimming your DSP to this size will give you three cards per sheet of DSP with almost no waste!  The DSP is all mounted onto a 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" piece of cardstock (unless noted otherwise) to complete the card.  All measurements are included in the text of this blog post but make sure to check out the video so you can see how they're all scored, trimmed and assembled.

First up is a fun gift card holder. This is a super simple fun fold but I know that many of us tend to give gift cards for the holidays and this one is simple and gorgeous!  I used the Christmas Season Bundle to stamp my holly and leaves.  I die cut them with the Seasonal Labels Dies, the label is also die cut with those same dies.  The greeting is from the Christmas To Remember Set.

stampin up, christmas season, christmas to remember

The gift card holder is inside the card.  With the DSP you'll make a pocket.  To make this card score the long side of your 4" x 12" DSP at 1", 3 1/2" and 6 3/4".  Fold the score lines to create a pocket inside your card.  Add a little glue to the sides to keep it closed and you have the perfect pocket for all your gift card giving!

stampin up, christmas season, christmas to remember

The second card is a fun trifold card.  I used the Peaceful Deer Bundle for my stamping.  I colored my deer with Soft Suede Stampin' Blends and punched him out with the coordinating punch.  His antlers are stamped onto the white cardstock behind him.  I stamped my trees in Sahara Sand.  To finish my deer I added a Red Rhinestone to his nose.

stampin' up, peaceful deer

The first inside panel is done the same way, using similar inks.  This time I colored my bunny with Gray Granite Stampin' Blends.  You'll need two of the second largest scalloped rectangle from the Scalloped Contours Dies.  You could use any large shape you want though!

stampin' up, peacful deer

To make the tri-fold card score the long side of your DSP at 3 3/8" on each side.  Use a pencil to mark 1 1/2" from the bottom on each side.  Then cut diagonally from the score line to the mark on each side.  Add your first inside scalloped rectangle to the card.  Then close the card and adhere the front scalloped rectangle directly over the inside one.  It sound confusing, make sure to watch the video to see just how simple this card is!

stampin' up, peaceful deer

Finally, our last card is my favorite!  This is another tri-fold card but with a twist!  For this card you'll score the long side of your DSP at 4" on each side.  You'll have three 4" x 4" panels.  The cardstock to mount this card on is 4 1/4" x 4 1/4".  This card will fit in a standard envelope.  I used the Peaceful Deer Bundle again for this card.

stampin' up!, peaceful deer

You'll do some die cutting into the DSP.  Using the largest circle from your Layering Circles Dies, die cut through the top layer folded over.  Position your die so it's halfway onto the DSP, overlapping the fold.  Make sure your inside panel is NOT folded up.  You don't want to cut through three layers, just two.  Check the video for details.

stampin up, christmas season

I die cut another circle with the 2nd largest circle.  With the card completely closed, adhere the circle to first inside panel (the one you did NOT cut).  This card is so much fun!!!  Sure to WOW all your friends and family.

I have a full supply list below.  Make sure to check out the video for all the details on this card and the other two.

Pampered Pets Birthday

Caution: Cute Card Ahead!  Last weekend was my sons birthday so this is the card I made for him.  The puppy is from the Pampered Pets Set.  This little dog is our favorite because he looks like our dog Chase.  I love incorporating him into family cards when I can.  I think it makes him part of the celebration too.   The other set I used was the Biggest Wish set for the greeting.  I LOVE LOVE LOVE this set.  I haven't pulled it out in a while but every time I use it I just adore it!!!

stampin up, pampered pets, biggest wish

The dog is colored with Stampin' Blends in Smoky Slate and Real Red.  I die cut him with the Pet Dies.  Also with the Pet Dies I die cut the paw print border into some Basic White Cardstock and then put some Real Red Cardstock behind so that the paw prints would shine through.  I added my pup to one of the Layering Diorama Dies that I embossed with the Checks and Dots Folder.  All the little pieces add to all the details on this card. To finish the card I used some ribbon from the Playful Pets Ribbon Pack.  I added some red enamel dots that I had left over from a Paper Pumpkin. I think they're perfect for this card.  Not too shiny but add just the right pop.  I have a full supply list below, you can shop for these products in my Online Store.

Delicate Dahlias-Tip To Line Up Your Image!

Have you checked out the Delicate Dahlias Set in our Sale-a-Bration Catalog?  It is so gorgeous!!!  I always say that I don't need another flower stamp set... and I don't, but then there's always something new and unique about it that makes me get it.  They always know how to reel me in.  This is one of our 'Distinktive' stamp sets.  That means that it's made to stamp lighter and darker shades with one ink.  No stamping off, no two step stamping.  When you see it stamped it's just gorgeous!  It's also a really good size.  It's a large floral image that makes a stunning focal point.

stampin up, sale-a-bration, delicate dahlias

I fussy cut the large flower once, and the smaller flower three times.  I also fussy cut a few leaves too.  You don't need to fussy cut.  The flowers stamped is stunning enough but I love layers and I love fussy cutting so I had too!  I finished the card with some Genial Gems and Essentials Bakers Twine.

stampin' up, sale-a-bration, delicate dahlias

Before you stamp with this image take a minute and do some prep work, believe me you'll appreciate this later.  The outline and solid image line up pretty perfectly but if you spend 10 minutes rotating the stamp trying to figure it out it takes away some of the joy of stamping.  When I have a tricky image to line up I use a sharpie and make a dot on the top of the back of the line image on my photopolymer stamp, then stamp it.

Do the same with your solid image.  When you have it lined up, use the sharpie and make a dot again on the top of the back of the stamp.  Then when you pull out your stamp to stamp it you'll know that the dots line up at the top and you can easily line up your image every time.  If your marker starts to fade with use just add it again and you're ready to go.  It's a quick tip that will save you time rotating your stamp later.  I have a full supply list below, you can shop for these products in my Online Store.

Nuts About Squirrels Peanut Brittle Box-VIDEO

Today I have the CUTEST box to share with you!! I pulled out the adorable Nuts About Squirrels Set. This treat box couldn't be cuter or easier to make!  I love that little squirrel.  He's got a little smirk on his face that is just so cute!!!

stampin up, nuts about squirrels

Last week I hit the mall and stopped at my absolute favorite candy store to pick up some treats to make cute boxes with.  I stopped at See's and picked up some Peanut Brittle Bars.  See's is my favorite chocolate ever, especially the Scotchmallows!  YUM!!!  If you have See's near you, head to the store and pick up some of these bars, if not you can shop online or substitute your favorite candy or treat in this box.

stampin up, nuts about squirrels

The squirrel is a two-step stamp, which means that you stamp the outline and solid images separately, he's so easy to stamp!  I used lots of dies for my tag, the Early Espresso piece is die cut with the Tasteful Labels Dies and embossed with the Greenery Folder.  My greeting is stamped on a tag from the Ornate Frames Dies.  I added a pop of color with the flowers, die cut with the Floral Squares Dies.  You'll have to fussy cut the squirrel, no dies or punches with this guy, but he's worth it!

You Inspire Me Colored Pencils

With kids headed back to school and school supplies in spades in the stores and in my home I had this idea for a card with colored pencils.  I think it came out really cute!! It's fun when things work out as you hope! To make the pencils I used the smallest triangle in the Stitched Triangle Dies for the tip.  The rest of the pencil is trimmed card stock pieces to about 3/8" in Very Vanilla for the wood of the pencils and the coordinating colors of the tips of the pencils.  Check my supply list below for all the colors I used.  To make the pencils look freshly sharpened I cut the colored pieces with the zig zag border die from the Basic Borders Dies.  Before adhering them together, I wanted to give the vanilla a little more depth, so I used my Crumb Cake Stampin' Blends and added color along the sides and blended it towards the center with my Color Lifter Stampin' Blends.

Before adhering the assembled pencils to the card I used my Brick and Mortar Folder to add texture to the Basic White piece.  The greeting, which I think is perfect for this card, is from the Delicate Dahlias Sale-a-Bration Set.  Earn this stamp set free with a $100 order in August and September.  The greeting is cut out with the Floral Gallery Dies.  To embellish my card I added a little tag that was made with the Ornate Tags and Give It A Whirl Dies.  I pulled out all the dies for this card!  Finally to finish it, I added some sequins from the Expressions In Ink Ephemera Pack.  These are like iridescent and just blend beautifully with all the colors.  Such a cute card!  Well worth all the work!!!  I LOVE it!!!  What a great card to share with a teacher you admire!  I have a full supply list below.  You can shop for these products in my Online Store.

Finally the last card features the Whimsical Trees Bundle.  I love these trees, again I'm showing that I must be incapable to make a traditional colored Christmas card. But Mint Macaron and Polished Pink are close...right?  The greeting is from the Heartfelt Wishes set.  This is a great set to have in your Christmas stash.
