Takeout Box Three Ways

On Wednesday I shared these Halloween Takeout boxes.  They're so cute and I wanted to share more ways that you can use the Takeout Box Thinlits.  My first box is the cutest back to school gift!  It's a fun apple!!!  How cute is this!!!!  I used Poppy Parade for the box and added some leaves from the Lemon Punch.  The stem is just a scrap piece of Early Espresso.
My second box would be the cutest Valentine's Box! The Thinlits include lots of fun shapes to cut out windows in your box.  I cut out a heart and added a window sheet behind it so the treats don't fall out!
The box is made from Melon Mambo Cardstock and I attached a cute tag using the stamp set from the Takeout Treats set.  So cute!!!!
My final box today is an adorable Christmas box.  I used the new Santa's Workshop DSP in the Holiday Catalog.  There are framelits that coordinate with the DSP and cut out these images.  So you could make a lot of boxes with little work!  There's also an adorable set that coordinates with the framelits so that you could color them if you were so inclined.  I added an image on each side.  I have Mrs. Claus and a North Pole Post on two of the sides.

On the other two sides I have an elf pulling a wagon full of gifts!  I topped this box with some Polka Dot Tulle ribbon for a fun finishing touch!  I have one more SUPER CUTE box to share with the Takeout Thinlits on Monday.  Join me then!

Thanks for looking, see you then!

Treehouse Trifold Card

Last week was my sons birthday. It's hard to believe he's 12 years old!  I wanted a special card for him.  This card has sooo many layers it's super fun! A card that even a pre-teen would enjoy!  The outside of the card shows lots and lots of layers of leaves on this amazing tree.
When you lift it up there's an amazing tree house inside.  The treehouse is stamped in Poppy Parade and Coastal Cabana. I wanted really bright colors that would pop off from all the green in the leaves.  The two greens that I chose for all the leaves were Granny Apple Green and Lemon Lime Twist.  Probably my favorite 2 greens ever!!!

The card then opens up again, this time on the side to reveal another greeting and lots of space for mom to get mushy about her now 12 year old.  It's a really fun card.  To make the trifold card I took two cards, a top folding one and a side folding one and adhered their backs together.  So quick and so easy!

Broadway Birthday and Swirly Bird

I made this card on a recent Facebook Live and I love it!!  I love the giant WISH from the Broadway Birthday bundle mixed with the delicate flower from the Swirly Bird Set.  I used a similar color combination as yesterday's card, in fact you may even recognize some of the pieces in it.  I used the same card base, the same scallop and stitched oval too.  You can see all about this card in my video below.

Dashing Deer Make and Take

At my team meeting a couple weeks ago I had this card out for our make and take.  I love the color combo of this card.  There's Gray Granite, Blushing Bride and Melon Mambo.  So fun!!!  I used the new Dashing Deer bundle again for this card.  You might remember this card from last week that also used the Dashing Deer bundle.
At the meeting I also shared a fun way to use our new shimmer paint too!  I mixed Gold Shimmer Paint with some rubbing alcohol in a spritzer and sprayed the make and take card.  It leaves a subtle gold shimmer all over the card that is just stunning.  The camera picked up a little of it but in person the shine is incredible! I love it!!!  All of these products are coming September 5 in the Holiday Catalog!

Double SNEAK PEEK

There are so many must have new products in the Holiday Catalog!!  I've used two on this card.  First the die cut Happy is from the Merry Christmas Thinlit Dies.  These are some of my favorite thinlits in the catalog!  And I love how they coordinate with the Merry Christmas To All set!  You can combine the framelits and set to make greeting like "Happy Holiday" or "Happy Christmas" or more!  For this card though I paired it with the Perennial Birthday set and made it a "Happy Birthday" card
My second sneak peek for this card is the gorgeous Frosted Floral DSP.  This DSP is gorgeous and has a frosted/shimmer/pearly finish to it making it soooo pretty!!!!!  I paired the DSP with a Tranquil Tide card base and some Soft Suede laters and cut the 'happy' from Crushed Curry.  All paired together make a beautiful card!

Nothing Sweeter SNEAK PEEK

The Nothing Sweeter set may fool you into thinking that it's a Christmas set but don't be fooled!  This is a true year round set! I used the heart image to create a fun Birthday card but you could easily make this a gorgeous Valentine's card too!  I did some messy watercoloring in Berry Burst and added a die cut Powder Pink heart over it.  The coordinating framelits are so fun, each image comes with a coordinating piece that adds fun stitching!!!  This is a definite must have bundle!

Dashing Deer SNEAK PEEK

I have another amazing sneak peek today.  The Dashing Deer set is a must have!  Years ago we had the Dasher single stamp and that was one of my favorite stamps ever! I used it all the time!  This amazing deer reminds me so much of Dasher!  I love non traditional Christmas colors so I made this one a monochromatic Highland Heather card.  I LOVE this color!!!

One of the things I love most about this card is the detail in the deer! I love the beautiful pattern you get from just a single stamp!  The deer was cut out with the coordinating framelits for this set.  You'll want the bundle for sure on this one!!

Making Christmas Bright SNEAK PEEK

I have another fun sneak peek for you today!  Can you tell I'm just loving all my new Holiday Catalog products!!  This set is one of my favorites from the Holiday Catalog.  It's the Making Christmas Bright set. Some of the other images from this set are little Christmas lights bulbs and yes there's a punch to punch those bulbs out!  For todays card though I pulled out lots of the other images from the set!  I love the little wreath in this set!  I stamped it in Blushing Bride and added lots of Gray Granite stars around.
I added a simple greeting over the wreath and the card is done!  I did add some Wink of Stella to the to the stars to give them some extra sparkle!  This color combo is one of my favorites for a non traditional Christmas card.  I used Blushing Bride, Gray Granite and Mossy Meadow.  So pretty!!!

Buffalow Check SNEAK PEEK

I have another sneak peek for you today and I've paired it with some stuff from our Annual Catalog too.  How awesome is that Buffalo Check Background!  EEEEKKKK  I love it soooo much!!!!  This is one I can see using year round for all kinds of occasions and the masculine cards! Can you just imagine the masculine cards!!! So fun!  For this card I stamped it on Coastal Cabana cardstock with Coastal Cabana ink.  Love that tone on tone look!!!  I paired it with lots of Granny Apple Green candles and a greeting from the Picture Perfect Birthday set.  Finally I finished it off with some Glitter Enamel Dots and Granny Apple Green ribbon.  I love these colors together and I love how bright and fun this card is.

Making Everyday Bright SNEAK PEEK

I have a fun sneak peek for you today, using a fun new set from the Holiday Catalog!  The Making Everyday Bright set is sooooo cut and while the feathers on this card are pretty stinkin' cute it doesn't even scratch the surface of what this set is capable of!!!  I can't wait to use it more!  But I did pull out the feathers on this set and what I love about this set is that there's a line image for just the feather and then a solid image that you can stamp inside the feather too.  I love that it leaves some of the feather open!  I stamped the feather repeatedly across the cardstock flipping it every time, so some feather point up, others down.  I used Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive and Crushed Curry to stamp the inside of each feather alternating as I went.  My greeting is from the Perennial Birthday.  That big greeting just makes me happy!  I used some of our new Braided Linen Thread that's coming in the Holiday Catalog!  To add just a little more texture I embossed the background with the Subtle Folder.  This is probably my favorite folder of all time!  I'm using it on everything lately!

Poppy Parade Wish

This simple birthday card is so fun!!  I love the simplicity of this card and paired with the brightness of the Poppy Parade this is such a cute card!  I would love to make a stack of these in every color in the Brights Color Family! Wouldn't that be gorgeous!  I started with a piece of Poppy Parade DSP.  With our color families in stacks of 6x6 DSP it makes it so easy to use on any project.  This DSP is cut to 4x1 meaning you get 8 per 6x6 sheet!  That's pretty incredible and a great way to mass produce some cards!  The Broadway Bound set is so much fun and has been one of my go to sets for birthday's.  The WISH is black heat embossed to give it a little more shine and texture.  I added Wink of Stella to the balloon for some sparkle!

Two For One Blended Seasons

One of the things that's so unique and amazing about the Blended Seasons Bundle is the framelits.  The labels in the framelits have a double stitched border so you get stitching on the positive and negative sides of the cardstock.  Which makes it really fun and easy to get 2 cards with one technique! For the background on these cards I started with some Glossy Cardstock and ink blended on some Tranquil Tide, Crushed Curry and Rich Razzleberry.  I love ink blending on glossy cardstock because the colors move together so nicely!  Start with a light hand though, you can always add color, you can't take it away!
After the color was blended on the cardstock I took and aqua painter and moved the color a little more.  This is what gives the glossy cardstock that amazing marble look!  Had I known it was going to give it that look I probably would have used a Wink of Stella pen for a shimmer look too!!  Once the piece was dry I cut it with the label framelit and used both pieces on 2 cards.  I love the copper embossing on both and the falling copper leaves on this card.  Also cut from the framelits with this bundle.  Shop the Blended Seasons Bundle today!  This bundle is only Available in August or while supplies last!  Don't miss it!

Blended Season and Glitter Paper

I saw this technique done by another demonstrator, Gloria Plunkett shared this tutorial on her blog and being the glitter loving girl I am I HAD to try it!  I was amazingly easier than I thought it would be and I love the finished look of the cards!  The basic idea is to stamp on a window sheet in Staz-On ink and use your Stampin' Blends to color the back of the window sheet.
Once everything is colored you adhere it to glimmer paper, I used glue dots and that worked great.  They're not even seen.  Then you fussy cut, yes fussy cut the window sheet and glimmer paper.  Our new and improved glimmer paper is thinner than our previous glimmer paper so it's easier to cut even with the window sheet.  If you're not a fan of fussy cutting I'd recommend an easy image to cut out.  This image from the Blended Season set, while gorgeous is not for the faint of heart to cut out.  I even cut off the stem with the buds on it because I wasn't going to deal with cutting it out.  In the end though these cards are gorgeous and I would do it all over again!  The blends I used to color them both were Lovely Lipstick (above), Highland Heather.  The leaves and centers of both are done with Granny Apple Green and Soft Suede.
I used the Blended Season Bundle for these cards.  Remember this bundle is only available in August, while supplies last.  The labels are double stitched which is double the fun! The images are wonderful for year round projects.  Don't wait to get yours, head to my online store and purchase it today!

Darling You Are Fabulous

In preparation for craft weekend a few weeks ago I found lots of old pieces from some old punch classes.  Usually when I do my punch art classes I pre punch or pre-cut all the pieces and I usually do a few extras.  Well I had saved all those pieces and decided to finally put some cards together. I thought this greeting from the Stitched All Around Set was perfect with these mirrors.
The mirrors are done with some oval framelits, the stand for the mirror is an old retired dress framelit (I can't remember the name!).  I heat embossed the greeting in gold and used the Hexagons Embossing Folder for lots of texture on the card base.

Dandelion Wishes

This set is such a fun set and I've seen soooooo much done with this set.  At craft weekend a few weeks ago I borrowed this set and made this sweet card.  I love the greetings and font in this set! They're some of my favorites!  I pulled lots of soft, subtle colors for this card using Petal Pink, Mint Macaron and Highland Heather.  I love the simplicity of it and the soft colors!

Sweet Otter

I can't get enough of this otter! He's the cutest little thing with the sweetest little face!  I wanted a super simple card so I colored just the otter and fussy cut him out of the entire image.  I used Stampin' Blends to color him including a few new ones.  Lovely Lipstick for his shirt, Granny Apple Green for the grass and Soft Suede for the otter himself.
After I fussy cut him, I popped him up on a little spring so he wiggles and shakes.  So cute!!!!
