Gather Together in Subtles

It's been a while since I've shared a card using my favorite Gather Together Bundle.  Not to worry I have a gorgeous card for you today that showcases everything to love about the Gather Together Bundle.  I used some of colors from the Subtles color family and I LOVE LOVE LOVE them together!  This might be my favorite card yet with this bundle.  I started with Petal Pink and Pool Party from the Subtles.  Along with those subtle colors I added in some Mango Melody and Gray Granite.
There is lots of elements on this card.  I layered it all up on a Tin Tile Embossed piece of Pool Party.  I used a 1" piece of the Feels Like Frost DSP for a metallic accent.  I pulled out my Stitched Nested Label dies for a focal point, added lots of ribbons, Petal Pink Striped, White Bakers Twine and Silver Metallic Thread.  The leaves are of course from the Gather Together Bundle.  Finally my greeting is from the Here's a Card Set.  All together they make a gorgeous card!

Check You Out Facebook Live

On yesterday's Facebook Live I shared this super adorable card!  It's so cute!!!  The Check You Out set has been on my wishlist for a while.  I finally broke down and had to have it.  I'm so glad I did!  This cute set is so much fun to use! I used my Stamparatus for the awesome hinge step technique for the background on the card.  You'll love this technique and if you don't have a Stamparatus this might entice you to add one to your next order.  I love the colors on this card, I used Coastal Cabana, Highland Heather, Rococo Rose and Smoky Slate.  Beautiful!!!
This was my first version of the card.  I also used the Stamparatus hinge step technique but because I used 4 colors it was a little more confusing.  So I changed up the cards colors a little and I'm so glad I did, I think I like the Coastal Cabana version better.  For all the details on how I made this card and the hinge step technique check out my video. Coffee and Hot Cocoa Pockets

Boy do I have a week of cute projects for you!  At my Team meeting a couple weeks ago I wanted to demo some projects that could be used year round and for Christmas.  The bundle I chose to highlight for my team meeting is the Cup Of Christmas Bundle.  This is such a fun bundle, not only because of the cute images but that it's reversible.  YES!!!  Two of the stamps in the set (the polka dot and striped mug) are reversible!  What this means is you can stamp a right handed mug or a left handed mug with one image!  It's pretty amazing!  I wanted to share the versatility of this bundle with my team.  All my projects this week will feature the amazing Cup of Christmas bundle.  There will be an example of using it for Christmas and then using it year round.  Today I have a fun gift item. We'll start with my year round project today.  This one showcases the striped reversible mugs LOVE!!!  I made a quick pocket and filled it with some coffee.  You could also throw in a Starbucks Gift Card with a note instead of the coffee packets.  The pocket is really easy, start with a piece of cardstock that is 8 1/2"x5 1/2".  On the long side score at 1 1/4" and 5". On the short side score at 1/2".  Then you just fold on all the score line, trim off the two small rectangle corners and fold up the bottom.  You can decorate your pocket anyway you like. For both pockets I used the dies from the bundle along with the Layering Circles Dies.  For my Blueberry Bushel one I used the Hammered Metal Embossing folder.  The 'enjoy' greeting from the set is used on both all tied together with some White Baker's Twine.
For my Christmas version I used Call Me Clover and the Woodland Embossing Folder.  I added a candy cane made from the dies to my mug too.  The Christmas pocket has a package of hot cocoa inside it.  Yum!!!!

To finish my hot cocoa mug I used the new Snowfall Accents Puff Paint in the Holiday catalog.  This stuff is pretty cool!  You put it on your project then heat it with your heat tool and boom you have instant puff paint!  Soooooo fun!!!  I love it and it adds such a fun accent to this project!  I hope you've enjoyed seeing all the amazing things you can do with the Cup of Christmas Bundle!

Dies As Stencils

Today I again have two cards to share.  One to use for Christmas and the other to share with a friend anytime.  Today I'm really showcasing the reversible stamps.  Both mugs are stamped with the same mug stamp I just reversed them.  Isn't that amazing!  I love them!!!  Another amazing part of these card is the fun backgrounds on each of them.  I used the striped cup die in the bundle and used it as a stencil and inking some color over it giving a fun striped background.  For my Shaded Spruce Christmas card I used Golden Glitz Delicata Ink.  I finished the card with a bow from the Natures Twine and some Metallic Pearls.  The card base is the Gold Foil Edge Cards and Envelopes.
For my year round card, I used our White Notecards and Envelopes and paired it with Merry Merlot and Rococo Rose.  I love this color combo!!!!  The die cut bow is from the Cup Of Christmas Bundle and when you add an amazing greeting like this one from Butterfly Gala this card goes from Christmas to Year Round in no time! I have one more amazing post for you tomorrow!

Cups Of Christmas Two Ways

Today I have two cards, one is a cute Christmas one and the other is one you could send to a friend any day of the year!  For the Christmas one I used the Buffalo Check Background stamp and stamped it in our new Golden Glitz Delicata Ink in the Holiday Catalog.  The mug is cut with the amazing dies in the bundle and covered in Wink Of Stella.
For my year round card I kept the same layout but instead of using a background stamp I used the Neutrals DSP Stack.  I stamped the greeting and some sprigs from the Love What You Do set.  The mug is made with the dies in the Cup of Christmas Bundle.  For both cards I used Cherry Cobbler ink and cardstock.  I've just begin to scratch the surface of what you can do with this bundle.  Check back tomorrow for more!!

Candy Cane Ornament

Today I have the cutest little tags or ornaments ever!!!  My first one I used the candy cane dies and made a heart out of them.  For the base of my ornament I used the Tags and Feathers Elements from the Holiday Catalog.  I LOVE these tags!!
For my year round version I used the same dies and tags and created a Melon Mambo heart.  I covered the heart in Shimmery Crystal Effects this gives it a shiny sparkly look that I love! I used a greeting from the Itty Bitty Greetings set and just cut LOVE from one of the stamped sentiments.  I finished it with a smaller heart from the Dog Builder Punch.
Instead of an ornament use it for a tag on a cute Valentine box.  I made a simple Valentine box using the Mini Curvy Keepsake Die.  I added some Silver Glimmer Paper to really make it pop! I have lots more to share using the Cup of Christmas Bundle!  Don't miss it!

Flip Top Box Facebook Live

I hope you were able to join me in my Facebook Live yesterday.  If not plan to join me next week, Thursday at 10am (MST). I always have a fun project to share.  Find me at 'Ruth's Stamping Corner'  I did a poll and asked what you wanted to see, a Christmas box or Christmas card.  Overwhelming the votes were for a box!  This box is super cute and I LOVE IT sooooo much!!!!  I used the Christmas Gleaming Bundle along with the coordinating DSP Brightly Gleaming.
This box is so much fun and has a flip top open.  It's a big box too you could fill it with lots of treats, or even a small gift.  To make the box you'll need a piece of cardstock that is 5 1/2" x 10".
On the 5 1/2" side score at 1 1/4" and 4 1/4"
On the 10" side score at 2", 3 1/4", 6 3/4" and 8"
For you belly band you'll need a piece of DSP that is 1 1/4" x 9 1/4"
You'll need 2 pieces of DSP each 2 3/4" x 1 3/4"
You'll also want a strong adhesive like Tombow or Tear Tape.
Maybe the box isn't your thing, no problem.  Simple adapt the box layout for a card. I used all the same supplies and made a coordinating card.  For all the details on the box make sure you check out my video.  You can subscribe to my YouTube channel and never miss a video.

Donna's Visit

I shared last week that Donna Griffith from the Stampin' Up! Home Office was kind enough to attend my events a couple weekends ago.  I was honored to have her attend!  She attended not only my class on Saturday morning but a team meeting with myself and some of my team on Friday evening.  We had so much fun visiting with her and learning from her.  I love my team! They're all amazing and full of creativity and I learn so much from all of them!  If you want to be part of this amazing group it's always a great time to join!
I shared lots from our meeting and my class already but I have lots more to share with you too.  Watch for that coming next week!  In the meantime I do have fun projects to share this week.  I've been behind on life for a few days. I think I'm finally catching up!

Rococo Rose Tree

I have a really fun card for you today!  I love this card!  I love non traditional Christmas colors for Christmas cards so of course Coastal Cabana and Rococo Rose make perfect sense to me!!!  I used the Perfectly Plaid bundle for my tree and the Buffalo Check background for my Stitched Nested Label. The greeting is from the Itty Bitty Christmas set, another new must have in the Holiday Catalog.  I finished the card with some Rhinestones that I colored with Rococo Rose Blends and some Glitter Enamel Dots.  Finally a big bow with the Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon.  I love it!!!

Gold Tipped Feathers

I guess I can't help it this week I'm on a Gather Together Suite posting marathon I guess.  All unplanned but you can see why I LOVE these products so much!  Today's card is an over the top kind of card I love it!!!  I mailed this card to Donna thanking her for coming to see me, my team and my customers.  I started of course with the Come To Gather DSP.  I love this DSP!!!  I love those checks but I wanted to tone them down a little so I used a little Vellum to tone the DSP pattern back a little.  The greeting is White Heat Embossed and I used the 'thanks' from the Here's A Card set.  One of my favorite greeting sets!  I added some Scalloped Pretty Peacock Ribbon under the greeting to add a little more pop to this card.
The feathers are from the Tags and Feathers Elements, again in the Gather Together Suite.  I love these wood elements, you can do so much with them and they come with awesome wood circles too!  I love those!!! I brushed the bottom half of my leaves with some VersaMark and dipped them in Gold Embossing Powder.  I heated them up and I LOVE LOVE LOVE that gold dipped look!!!  I finished the card with some Noble Peacock Rhinestones, White Bakers Twine and a splattering of Dark Pretty Peacock Stampin' Blend.  I love the final result of this card!

I shared this card in my Facebook Live this week, for all the details check out my video.  I kept it simple with only one ink pad, Pretty Peacock.  The pumpkins are colored using the Pretty Peacock Blends.  I finished the card with some Come To Gather DSP and a Linen Thread bow.

Come To Gather Birthday

The new Gather Together Bundle is one of my favorite bundles right now.  I love the images and the dies that come with it are pretty amazing!  Don't you love those leaves!?!  You definitely need this bundle!  I paired up this bundle with the Come to Gather DSP, it's a match made in heaven! I wanted to make this a fun birthday card so I grabbed my trusty Itty Bitty Birthdays Set.  Finally I finished it off with a bow using our Scalloped Trim Ribbon in Pretty Peacock.  The ribbon is pretty thick and I wanted a more delicate bow so I cut the ribbon in half and just used one side.  I love the rough edges it leaves.

September Class

What a weekend!  It's been a whirlwind of the last few days and I've had trouble keeping up with all the festivities.  My birthday was Thursday and other then a few things here and there I didn't work too hard.  My husband had the day off and we went to lunch while the kids were in school.  Friday I had an incredible team meeting with our special guest Donna Griffith from the Stampin' Up! home office, Donna took some pictures and as soon as she sends them to me I'll share them.  Then Saturday I had my annual Birthday Card Stamp a Stack in honor of my birthday, again with special guest Donna attending that as well.  There was so much going on that I didn't get a single picture, not a one!  UGH!  I could kick myself for that.  But when things get super busy it's so hard to stop and grab your phone.  I had a great time and I hope all my guests did too.  We made some pretty amazing cards that I LOVE!  Check them out!  This first one uses the Ride With Me Bundle, it's such a cute bundle I want to play with it more.  How sweet is this card for any guy in your life or anyone really!

This card might be my favorite.  I love Gorgeous Grape but seriously this pocket card, EEEEEEKKKKK!!!  So cute!!!!  You could also add a gift card to the pocket too!
Don't forget to decorate your card in the pocket too.  Extra love for all!!!  But seriously those purples!  LOVE!!!
Finally, the sweet walrus.  If you don't have the We'll Walrus Be Friends Set yet.  YOU NEED IT!!! Cutest images! Cutest greetings, seriously what else could you ask for!?!  Watch for a post soon sharing more about Donna's visit.  I have LOTS to share this week so don't miss anything!
