Smarty Pants!

When I first saw the Sale a Bration sets Patterned Occasions was not the first set I wanted.  I was pretty sure I wouldn't use it much.  Boy was I wrong!  This set is for sure my favorite set this year!  Though they're all great!  These pants are so sweet, and I LOVE this color combo, Midnight Muse, More Mustard, and Rich Razzleberry.  It's rich and wonderful!!!  This card came together pretty quick, the torn edges are always a great way to add fun texture to your card.
The pants are fun and I bet you're wondering how I got the pants to look like that huh?  It's a fun technique called kissing.  Yep we're going to kiss.  I used the Hello Doily set with the pants stamp.  First ink up your Hello Doily set so you're ready to use it.  I inked mine in Midnight Muse.  Then I inked my pants in Marina Mist, before stamping it on the cardstock you're going to 'kiss' the two stamps together.  In this case I gently pressed the pants into the inked up part of the doily.  Then stamp on your cardstock.  It's fun and easy!  A great combo!

Final Cards

These are the final two cards from stamp camp, using the Pretty Petites set.  I love this set, I think mostly because it has a coordinating punch that you can get for free, I mean come on who doesn't love a free punch!  Again unplanned but Amber and I used similar colors but the cards are still so different, we also both broke out the buttons for this card :)  The first one is mine  It's simple but fun, I love the 'cluster' of images in the corner and I love LOVE the double bow in the button!
Amber's is so fun!  I love all the orange (who would have ever thought I'd love Tangerine Tango!!!?!)  NOT me.  This color has been around for a while and I just bought my first pack of cardstock last month.  That's how unused this color has been in my house.  Well not anymore!  I love the ribbon on Amber's card too.  Remember during Sale a Bration you can get all the stamp sets, ribbon, buttons, DSP, and so so much more FREE!!!  It's that easy!!!

Patterned Occasions

I know I said yesterday that I'd be sharing the Patterned Occasions cards from stamp camp tomorrow but the Pretty Petites pictures need to be retaken with better light so you'll see those tomorrow :)  These cards are so super cute though, I think you'll love them just as much!  The first card is the card I did.  I LOVE the stacked cups, they're so cute!  I used the precut and scored note cards for this card.  I love those cards, they're so quick and easy and the perfect size for a fun quick card.
This is Amber's card.  We used the same DSP yet the cards are so different.  I love the multi colored upcake and the little pop of ribbon!  This set is my (current) favorite Sale a Bration set.  I just love the images so much!!!  The DSP this year is also a huge hit!  The patterns are beautiful and the color are perfect.  My favorite DSP for sure!

Success!

My upline Amber and I did a Sale a Bration Stamp Camp on Saturday.  It was a huge success.  We had lots of great company and wonderful projects!  You'll see them over the next two days.  First though some dressed up water bottles.  I saw this on Pintrest and LOVED it!  I thought it was so cute!  So what better environment than stamp camp to decorate some water bottles!
They were done in MDS super quick and I sent them to Staples to be printed.  I sent lots of little project to Staples, especially projects like this that I need right away!  I don't think I use Staples that much but when I walked into the copy center they knew me by name and pulled out my order right away...guess I use them more than I think!
For this years stamp camp, we choose 3 different Sale a Bration sets to use and each of us would create a card for each set.  Our guests got to make 1 of all 6 cards.  I love how different our cards came out but still so fun and beautiful!  We even used lots of the same colors (today's card is not an example of that) but over the next two days you'll see we had similar color (which was unplanned) and the cards are still different and fun!  First up is the Sale a Bration set Bloomin' Marvelous.  This is my card.  I LOVE the butterfly in this card and this card was inspired by one of the cards I saw on a picture of a board at SU's Leadership conference :)  The flower trim ribbon is just beautiful, I had to order more of that I love it so much!

This one is Amber's card.  Even with the same stamp we still had different cards.  Love it!! I love this card.  I love the colors the DSP the rhinestones!  It's fun and whimsical and perfect!  Tomorrow I'll share our cards from the set Pretty Petites and Wednesday I'll share our Patterned Occasions cards.  Keep checking back!

MDS Thank You!

Have I mentioned before that I love MDS?  I'm sure I have, this card is one of the reasons why.  I love to print big stacks of cards through MDS, they make the BEST gifts in a pinch and it's great to have a stack of cards ready to go, we've all been in that spot where we need a card, NOW!  Now is a great time to get your MDS printing done, even for MDS orders you'll get free Sale A Bration products with every $50 you spend.  YAY!!!!  This card is a 5x7 card and I started with one of the designer templates for this card, I kept some things but added some other things.  The colors are all from the template, I used one of the Hoppy Memories templates by the way.  The original template had hearts, I wanted butterflies.  I changed the greeting, added the chevron, splatter and accessories to the butterflies.  But other than that it's the same card.  I did change up the ribbon too, the template had grosgrain but I love the whimsical look of the taffeta better :)

Pefectly Done!

With this final page, I'm done with our 2012 album!  Whoooo Hoooo!!!  I need to do some final reviews, make sure everything important is in the bleed area, make sure there's no misspellings, etc.  But I'm happy to say that I'm done!  I'll be ready to print in just a couple days :)  The chalkboard technique is so in style right now.  I gave it a go with a card, you saw that last week.  So I thought I'd try it in MDS too.  I do love it!  The pictures are from Logan's class field trip to a pumpkin patch.  So the chalkboard theme ties in well :)  Hate to keep it short and sweet but lots to do!  HUGE Sale A Bration class this Saturday!!!  You can still sign up to attend here!!!

Just Hours Away!!!

We are just hours away from the 2013 Sale A Bration Season!!!  The more I use the Sale A Bration products the more I love.  The paper this year is so beautiful and I love the color combos!  The stamps are better than ever and there's even an embossing folder and punch to choose from!  It's going to be a GREAT Sale A Bration!!  If you want to get your hands on the products right away attend our annual Sale A Bration stamp camp this Saturday.  There's still time to sign up here!  We'll have samples, prizes, snacks, and more!  This card was going to be one of the cards made at stamp camp, but after some craft time, I reconsidered and went with another card, but I do love this one!

My card was inspired by this card on Split Coast Stampers, done by Mary Fish.  I love the colors she used but I wanted to change it up a little.  I love the pearls.  That butterfly stamp and punch might just be my favorite!  Have a great Monday and a great MLK day.  It didn't occur to me until Sunday night that Logan doesn't have school today.  Good thing I remembered, but hopefully Dan would have stopped me before I left the house to take him to school :)

Hoppin' Through The Spring Catalog

Welcome to our monthly Ladybug Ink blog hop. You may have just hopped over to my blog from our newest blog hop member Michelle.  Michelle has amazing ideas and is super talented.  This month's theme is Spring Catalog.  There are so many amazing new products in the Spring Catalog I had a hard time choosing what to do.  I haven't use the Amazing Family set much and I got it for free so I thought I might as well use it!  I've seen the chalkboard technique everywhere so I thought I'd give it a try, it's so easy and so FUN!  I embossed everything in white embossing powder on black cardstock, then I used a sponge and some white craft ink and sponged a little white in random places.  Isn't it cute, I love that it gives the illusion of a used chalk board.
I punched the large butterfly 4 times, 2 in Tempting Turquoise and 2 in Melon Mambo.  Then I used the new small butterfly punch and punched 2 of those in Daffodil Delight.  I love layering them all.  Make sure you rough up the edges on them a little to give it more texture and dimension.  The new build a brads are so pretty I love them, it's a great accessory to any card!!!  Finally to finish the card I used my white gel pen to hand draw lines around the edge of the black cardstock.
Are you ready to keep hopping through the blog hop??  If you've never joined us on a blog hop here's how it works, you'll hop (via the links we provide) from one blog to the next.  You'll make an endless loop so when you end up back here you're done and you've seen all our amazing work.  Next up on the hop is Amber.  Amber is also another amazing stamper, I'm sure you'll be wowed by her work.
In case you get lost along the way here's a list of all our hoppers:

So Much New Stuff!

I have so many new things sitting on my desk, which makes organizing a bit of a problem.  You see I have a rule that I don't put it away until I use it.  In the past there have been so many times that I've gone through my drawers and cabinets only to find unopened, unused, unmounted stamps and accessories!  So to prevent that from happening I made up the rule that it doesn't get put away until it's used at least once.  Once I use it I realize that I LOVE it and then use it over and over again :)  It's a good rule.  But as it would turn out, Megan is nothing like her brother.  When Logan was 2 he would sit with me in my stamp room and play or color or help me, he would keep himself entertained and let me work, usually he didn't even want me to play, he's always been independent like that.  Megan however is a firecracker.  She WANTS to help, she WANTS to stamp but unlike Logan she requires more hands on help and with her attention span being about 2 seconds we move on to new things pretty quickly around here.  So I don't get as much time to craft anymore, well I just have to be more creative about my time :)  But it also means that things are not used and put away as quickly as I would like :)  Where was I headed with all this rambling....oh yes today's card!  I finally (I say finally because I got this set in NOVEMBER PEOPLE!!!-This is my first time using it since I bought it in NOVEMBER!) used my new Blue Ribbon set.

Almost everything else on this card is from the Spring Catalog.  The doily and flowers are in the catalog.  I know the flowers look a little orangeish in the picture but in real life they're closer to the Primrose Petals color.  I used a really wet aqua painter and soaked up some ink and then 'painted' the flowers.  I used So Saffron and Primrose Petals.  I love the look of the doily folded in half.  I sponged a little So Saffron on it to bring it out more.  The stamps are from the Blue Ribbon set, like I said.  I love them and do find it sad that it's taken 2 month's to finally get around to using it.  The embossing folder is in the Sale a Bration catalog.  Sale a Bration starts in less than a week!  Are you excited!!!?!  Check back tomorrow we're doing our monthly Ladybug Ink blog hop and we have a new member joining us.  Can't wait!!!

Wednesday Already!

Where did the time go!?!  All week I've been running a day behind, not sure why.  Yesterday I worked for a good hour on some AMAZING cards.  But then Megan got up, Logan came home and all time was lost so I didn't have time to blog about them.  Today Megan starts a class at the zoo-and is it going to be COLD!  I have a meeting this afternoon so the chances of me being able to show you anything new today will be slim.  So enjoy this little break, and I'll see you tomorrow.

Stitched With Love

Stampin' Up! never ceases to amaze me.  I have two yes TWO more fun and exciting things to share with you.  But first I'd like to share todays card.  This is one of the new kits in the Spring catalog.  The kits are perfect!  They have everything you need to create adorable cards, and they give you the freedom to jazz it up if you want too.  Now I'll be honest while making this this I was convinced that I'll never make one of these again.  The stitching took longer than I thought, much too long for an element of a card.  But once it was done I really liked it.
Isn't the stitching cute?  I love how the colors coordinate with the cardstock. I added a greeting and some ribbon, but over all the card is still kept fairly simple.  So what do you think, will you give the stitching a try?  If you do I'd love to know your thoughts.  Leave me a comment with your opinion.
As we head into Stampin' Up!'s 25 year Stampin' Up! has plans to celebrate all year long and you have the opportunity to earn free stamp sets that you choose!  Every month SU will release a new stamp set that contains the best stamps from the last 25 years!
Some things to remember:
  • All Best of stamp sets will include 3-5 images, including a never-before seen image, and will be priced at $14.95.
  • While we are releasing just one Best of stamp set per month (with a new theme each month), all of the Best of sets will be available until March 31, 2014.
  • A new flyer will be released every month for each new Best of set.
  • All Best of stamp sets are available in Clear-Mount only.
Plus here's the best part!  When you collect 6 proof of purchase stickers you can mail in your stickers and pick a FREE stamp set of your choice!!!!!  Isn't this exciting!!!?!  I can't wait to start collecting them.  You can see the first one, The Best of Birthday's here!

Ready for announcement number two.  The single stamp set sale was a huge hit.  That SU has introduced more single stamps to buy and they're sooooo cute!!!!  You can see the new ones here and here!!!

Pretty Pants

Last week was Stampin' Up!'s Leadership Conference.  I wasn't able to attend but I did keep track of everything going on closely and I loved seeing the pictures of all the sample boards there.  I jotted down some ideas that I saw on those boards.  This card is inspired by one of those cards.  These cute pants are from one of the new Sale a Bration sets.  So cute!!!!  I just love them!!!  I love the idea of them on a little clothes line too!!!
I stamped the pants 4 times, twice in Midnight Muse (isn't it the perfect jean color), then once each in Cherry Cobbler and Bashful Blue.  Add a background of light fluffy clouds and some green grass and you have an adorable, sweet card!!!!
Finally, some HUGE news from SU.  First Paper Pumpkin!  Would you love to have a kit mailed to you every month full of everything you need to complete beautiful cards, amazing 3D items and more?!! Well wish no more! Stampin' Up! is happy to announce a new kit by mail program called Paper Pumpkin. Every month you'll get a kit mailed to you with everything you need; supplies, pictures and instructions to complete amazing projects. For more details and to sign up check out the Paper Pumpkin website! Make sure when you sign up to mention me as your demonstrator. If you have questions please let me know!

Next do you have a man in your life that could use some SU help?  SU is happy to announce a stamping kit made for men for men.  Now the man in your life can make his own cards, with his own stamps and ink.  How fun!!!!  Check out this fun video showing these fun new products.

This one was Carmelita's swap!  Everything is embossed and is just amazing!!!!

This is Cassie's swap, this paper is so much fun and I love the hexagons.

This was Kathy's swap.  It came complete with a tea bag!  What a fun card for a friend!

This is Kay's card.  It's simple, sweet and fun!

This is Kim's card.  The butterfly is amazing and I love the use of the brad on this card!!

Pockets Of Fun!

Any project that holds candy, specifically chocolate, is perfect you really can't go wrong with it.  This little pocket treat holder was designed for tea bags, but chocolate is so much more fun!!!  Would you believe that this was created with just a 6x6 piece of DSP!!!  I got the inspiration for this project here.  There's are great video on it so I won't go into to many details.  I encourage you to watch the video if you want to recreate it.
The back you could put another chocolate (or tea bag) I added a little note card.  I also added a little loop handle on the top of mine instead of a bow or knot.  I'm a little bummed I didn't come across these before Christmas, how cute would these be hanging from the tree!  You could make a bunch of these for Valentine's though and hang them on doors, desks, etc.  CUTE!!!

Recover Rapidly!

This card is so cute, so fun and if it doesn't make you feel better when you're sick then probably nothing will :)  The sweet band aid stamp is a Sale A Bration set.  The front is pretty simple.  There's not a whole lot going on.  I stamped the band aid 6 times, 3 in 3 different brown (Crumb Cake, Soft Suede and Chocolate Chip), then 3 in pinks (Pretty in Pink, Regal Rose and Rose Red).  I trimmed the hearts in the center and glued them to the larger brown band aids.
I cut it them all out and used dimensionals to pop them up.  Already this card is super cute, but it's not the outside of the card that matters this time.  It's what's inside that counts.
Look how sweet a pop up tissue box!  How stinkin' cute right!!!! I can't take full credit on this, I was inspired by this card by Lorri Heiling.  This is the perfect card for a friend or co worker who might be fighting that nasty cold bug going around.  The tissue box is super simple and is just a 6 1/4″ x 3″ piece of cardstock that is scored at 1 1/2″, 3″, 4 1/2″ & 6″.  Adhere the back and bottom right into the fold of your card and the tissue box will fold down when the card closes.  Go make one!

Amazing Butterflies!

Tonight is our demonstrator meeting.  It will be a little different this month, but still fun and still full of inspiring ideas!  I can't wait!  This is my swap for this month.  The theme is Spring Catalog or Sale A Bration.  I used the butterflies from one of the new Sale A Bration sets, plus them new mini butterfly punch and large rhinestones both in the Spring Catalog.  This is one of my favorite swap cards ever!!!  I love the colors the stamps and the entire card!!!  Plus it's sparkles with smooch spritz!!  FUN!!!
Probably my favorite part of this card is the tearing and the DSP behind it.  Oh the DSP is in the Sale A Bration catalog too!  I love the chevrons on it and it coordinates so well with the chevron embossing folder.  So I'll have lots to share from the meeting this week so keep checking back all week long!

Late But Good!

The weekend once again got away from me :)  It was a busy weekend but fun.  We had a quiet weekend at home and didn't really do anything :)  I spent a lot of time MDSing and working on some stamping projects for our meeting tomorrow but other than that, nothing really got accomplished :)  I have a few of my MDS pages to show you.  The first one I made a couple weeks ago.  I don't think I've shown it here yet.  I love this page!  It might be one of my favorites.  I love all the details, layering and extra touches on this page!
I'm almost done with our 2012 album!  Yay!!  I think I have a couple more pages that I defiantly want to do, then I'll go back and make sure but I think I should be ready to print in a couple weeks!!!  I can't wait, I love getting the printed books!!!  Here's a couple more pages from Christmas.  This one is fun too and I LOVE LOVE LOVE that picture of Logan and Megan hugging!!!
I'm horrible at taking pictures on Christmas morning, so this year I gave Logan the camera (well my old one) and let him do the picture taking.  I love seeing Logan's pictures and seeing what he wants to document :)  And he does a really good job!!!
Thanks for looking!!!!  See you soon!!!!!

Wonderful!

I was beginning to think that this post wasn't going to happen.  Blogger wasn't letting me load pictures yesterday, fortunately I was able to get them on here....not in the way I would prefer but nonetheless here they are.  I have some more Spring Catalog and Sale a Bration products to show you.  The first is the amazing Honeycomb embossing folder (I can't remember if I've already shown this or not :)  But isn't it great!!! I LOVE IT!!!!  You can purchase the embossing folder from the Spring Catalog.
The DSP is from the Sale a Bration catalog.  Isn't it fun DSP!!!!?!  I really love the colors.  I have to admit to, I generally don't use Tangerine Tango ever, ever, EVER!  BUT I just might be 'forced' to use it with this DSP, and I'm ok with that!  I better buy some though :)
Finally a few specials to share with you, these are only good through January 21st so act quickly!  First is the Valentine Treat Bundle (the one on the left in the picture).  For only $5.95 you'll get the brand-new Happy Valentine Heart Single Stamp and a package of 1" x 8" cellophane bags.  The second promotion (the one the right in the picture) is so fun!!!  During the My Little Valentine promotion, you will get the Sealed with Love Simply Sent Kit FREE-a $7.95 value-when you purchase the brand-new My Little Valentine Set. This four-piece set was created exclusively for this promotion and will not be available again after January 21! For more on both these offers check out the flyer or contact me.

The Spring Catalog Makes A HUGE Splash!

Today the Spring Catalog goes live!!!!  Whooohooo!!!  This catalog is amazing and is full of amazing stamp sets, fun accessories and beautiful paper!  I love this catalog!!!!  Today's card features a fun new set in the catalog!  Love it!!!!  This whale set is so cute!  And it's super kid friendly.  Yesterday Logan and Megan helped me make a stack of these cards.  The kids will hand them out to people and family who were very generous to them at Christmas.
There is a fun whale sizzlet in the catalog so that you can cut out the whale worry free!  The DSP is from my favorite pack in the catalog.  I showed you another sample of the DSP here.  The Sunshine and Sprinkles DSP is so FUN!!!!!  Again I'm showing you the super cute cloud embossing folder.  Love all the elements on this card.
Prof that the kids helped with the card.  Logan wanted to do the waves and Megan picked the heart stamp.  All stamped with love.  Plus notice the fun Talking Tag sticker in the card.  These are actually really fun-even I was skeptical at first :)  If your recipient has a smart phone consider adding a talking tag.  You can record your message instead of writing it, it will record up to 1 minute.  This is especially great with kids who don't have the patience to write notes in a bunch of cards.
Finally here it is.  The Spring Catalog!!!!!  If you don't have a copy and don't have a demonstrator that you normally work with, send me an email or comment on this post and I'll get a catalog in the mail to you!

Thanks for looking see you soon!!!!!

LOVE

As the stores would indicate, Valentine's Day is right around the corner.  I swear I saw some Valentine's day stuff up before Christmas!  YIKES!  That's a little early!  But since it is just over a month away it's time to start thinking about your Valentine's day crafts and cards.  This sweet little card is quick easy and oh so cute!!!!  I love all the hearts with the rhinestones!
Did you see the new products on this card??? The new stamp and mini label punch!  Aren't they cute!!!!  LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!!!!  The mini label punch is a Sale a Bration item, it's so cute!!!  In both the Sale a Bration catalog and Spring catalog there are sets that coordinate with the mini punch.  I don't have my catalog with me but I'm pretty sure this 'love' stamp is from the set in the Spring Catalog.  I'll make sure to double check that and if I'm wrong I'll correct it :)  The rest of the card is simple and quick.  A little embossing, some rhinestones and you're done!  Cute, quick and fun!

Happy New Year!

Happy 2013!!!!  Did you ring in the new year with family? Friends? Strangers???  Dan and I celebrated the same way we have for the past few years....at home.....in our pjs.....on the couch......watching the ball drop (which isn't even live because of the 2 hour time difference).  This year we added a couple of mugs of hot cocoa since it's been so cold the last couple days.  Then right after the ball drops it's bed time :)  It's ok to be jealous of our super exciting celebration :)  On to the card for today!!!  Isn't it the sweetest, cutest, most adorable card???!  This is for sure my favorite of the cards I made last week.  Just as it was for yesterdays card, this card was inspired by more than one card from Pintrest (gotta love Pintrest)!  Make sure you note a few new products on this card.  First the ADORABLE cloud embossing folder!!!  How stinkin' cute is it!!!!?!!  The button is new and so is the DSP, all 3 can be found in the Spring Catalog!  The stamp set is new but it's a Sale a Bration set-you'll have to wait a little longer for the set :)
Onto the details for the card, I used the markers to color the elephant, I love the multicolored look too!!!!  The DSP on this card is my favorite DSP in the entire Spring Catalog and maybe in the big catalog too, it's so fun and I love the bright colors!!!!  I love love love this paper (be prepared to see lots of it coming up!!!)  The buttons are new, they're fun silver buttons and I just LOVE them too!!!
Thanks for looking, see you soon!!!!!
