Rooted In Nature Ghirardelli Box-VIDEO

Did you catch yesterday's Facebook Live? If not don't worry I have the replay for you here.  Plus it's an adorable treat box, sized perfectly for a couple Ghirardelli squares.  If you know me you know I LOVE Ghirardelli chocolate-specifically the dark chocolate so I LOVE making treat boxes for them.  This one is a little different but it's soooo cute!!!  Plus it can be modified for so many different occasions.  I have a picture below of one modification I've done to make a cute back pack for a teacher appreciation gift.  Soooo cute!!  Make sure you scroll down and check that out.  I love all the details on this box, from the Gilded Gems to the tone on tone stamping on the box.  I have a fun Stamparatus trick to share with your for that!

For the box you'll need a piece of cardstock that is 6 1/2" x 3 1/2".  On the long side score at 1/2", 1 1/2", 3 1/2" and 4 1/2".  On the short side score at 1".  You'll also need a piece of DSP, my box I'm using the Plaid Tidings DSP, 3"x 1 15/16" (that's the line right before 2" on the Stampin' Up! Trimmer).  For details on how the box goes together check out my video.  I pulled in my Rooted In Nature set for the festive trees.  I love using sets that you probably wouldn't think of for holiday projects. It shows the amazing versatility of our products.  I also used my favorite Christmas greeting set Itty Bitty Christmas for the greeting.  I have a full supply list below and you can check out the video for all the details on this cute box.

To make the back pack version, make the box as directed then cut two strips at 4" x 1/2", on the long side score at 1/2" on each side and attach to the back.

Bear Holidays

Hi there!  We'll I have a super cute card for you today! As I'm typing this we have massive amounts of snow on the ground in New Mexico...in October....just another check mark for surprises in 2020.  But the snow on the ground is very reminiscent of the holidays, especially Christmas so today's card is perfect!  I pulled in lots of products for todays card.  Some from the Annual Catalog and the Mini Catalog.  First the bears!  Last year we had the the adorable Snow Globe Scene Dies in our Holiday Catalog, I bought that bundle specifically for these bear dies.  I LOVE these sweet bear dies!  Thankfully they carried over to the Annual Catalog.  They work perfectly with the Snow Globe Shaker Domes but they also are so cute without the domes.  The trees are also in that die set so it's pretty perfect!

I paired the bears up with the Plaid Tidings DSP and the Celebration Labels Dies from the Mini Catalog.  I love how these all work so well together!  To add some texture to the trees I used some Stampin' Blends.  I colored a little in the middle of the trees with my light Old Olive and then used the Color Lifter to blend out the edges.  The sprigs are also from the Celebration Labels Dies and really tie the whole scene together.  Finally for a little sparkle I covered the bears in Wink Of Stella as well as added some Iridescent Pearls.  I have a full supply list below.  You can shop my Online Store anytime.

Adulting Is Hard

I don't know about you but I'm totally feeling this cats attitude lately.  Being an adult is way overrated!  LOL Right now in the middle of this pandemic, I think this could be all of us.  There's only a few days left of the amazing DSP sale and this kitty comes right out of the Playful Pets DSP!  There is no die for this cat but she's not too hard to fussy cut.  The trickiest part is the whiskers and you can get as detailed as you want or not on those.

I also used the Plaid Tidings DSP for this card, also on sale this month only!!! The greeting is from Nothing's Better Than Bundle. Truth time....I got that bundle only for this one stamp LOL!!!  Finally the ribbon!  I LOVE that Melon Mambo ribbon, not sure where the Melon Mambo Ribbon is from, it's actually our White Seam Binding Ribbon that I colored with the Melon Mambo Stampin' Blends.  LOVE!!!  I have a full supply list below.  You can shop for all the supplies in my Online Store.

Hippo Birthday Easel Slider

Yesterday I shared another card featuring this same amazing slider action.  You can check it out here, I also have a video on that post that shows exactly how to make it.  So for full directions check out that post.  I actually made this card first for my daughter who turned 10 over the weekend.  This super cute hippo is perfect for her fun whimsical spirit.  This card is super cut and I love it!

I used many of the same supplies for this card that I used for my card yesterday.  I used the same DSP, you can see how a different pattern can change the card drastically!  I used the same labels and circles stacked together.  I loved them so much that I had to use them again.  I'm sure you'll see it in the future too!!!  This is such a fun card!

Here's the card in it's sliding action.  I do have to apologize for the muted colors on this GIF.  My GIF making program doesn't do a good job keeping the colors true to life. I need a new one. It's so cute though!  I love it!!  I have a full supply list below. You can shop for any of the products in my Online Store.

Today's Plan Slider Easel Card-VIDEO

I have a super fun card to share with you today.  I love how fun this card is and though it may look really complicated once you make one or two of them it's really easy.  I'm hoping my video will break down each step and you can make this card confidently!  Today I'm using the Nothing's Better Than Bundle, which I've had for months and would you believe that this is the first time I've inked it up?  I love this fun, whimsical set!  This card is special because when you pull up on that tab, there's a hidden message behind it.  I'm not sure what the real name for this card is, this technique has been around for a long time.  I'm calling it a slider easel card, I'm not sure if that's the correct term for it but I think it works.
stampin up, nothing's better than
The written instructions can get super confusing so make sure you also check out the video for detailed instructions.  To make the easel slider you’ll need a piece of cardstock that measures 5”x3 ¾” , using the Stitched Rectangle Dies you’ll partially die cut it.  When placing the top plate on top of the die don’t cover one edge of the die with the top plate.  Create score line to connect your rectangle at the top, then fold the rectangle in half.  Using another piece of cardstock that is 5 ½” x 3” (scored on the long side at ½”).  Cut off the corners on the ½” tab and adhere tab to the back and bottom of the die cut rectangle.

Isn't that a fun card!?!  Think of the many different ways you can embellish it and for how many different occasions?  I have another card to share with you tomorrow with this same technique, there's a sneak peek of it in my video!  I have a full supply list below.  You can shop for all the supplies in my Online Store.

Who Wore It Best-Card Edition

I have another couple of cards that I made for World Card Making Day on October 3rd that I wanted to share.  I used the same products and same layout and the only thing I changed was the ink colors and the DSP pattern.  I can't decide which card I like best.  I love them both.  The first card I paired Night Of Navy and Magenta Madness together.  I used a Night of Navy pattern from the Playing With Patterns DSP.  I love how fun and playful it is!!

The second card, same layout, same supplies but with a different DSP pattern.  I love Coastal Cabana!  It's probably my all time favorite color so I LOVE this card!!!  But I'm curious to know what you think, let me know if you like the Night of Navy one or the Coastal Cabana one. It's a tough call.  I have a full supply list below.

This week I'm sharing some really cute cards that I made on World Card Making Day on October 3rd.  I realized I shared them on social media but not here.  This card inparticular I just LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!! The colors just make me sooo happy!!!  I started with a Bumblebee card base and paired it with the Whale Of A Time DSP, Whale Done Bundle and the Smooth Sailing Dies.  The whale is punched out with Magenta Madness and Coastal Cabana.  I love the pops of green from the sea weed and the vellum doily on the side.  All the little details on this card make it amazing!!  I have a full supply list below.

Plaid Tidings and Love Of Leaves

I have three cards to share today and you'll have to let me know which color combo is your favorite!  I have a favorite.  I'm curious what yours is.  I made all the cards the same they all have a card base that is embossed with the Pinewood Planks folder. They all have a gorgeous plaid pattern from the Plaid Tidings DSP and they all have the same arrangement of leaves and the same greeting.  First up is the Melon Mambo one.  For this card I added leaves in Melon Mambo, Rich Razzleberry and Seaside Spray.  I love the bright colors and the DSP pattern.
stampin up, love of leaves, plaid tidings

The next one is a Cajun Craze base.  If this years holiday catalog, or August-December Mini Catalog, has done anything to me it's that it's making me use Cajun Craze!!!  You guys I'm having a serious love/hate relationship with Cajun Craze this year.  For years it's been my least favorite color, but this year it's in the DSP's and I'm being forced to use it and I love it!!  Ahhh!!!  What's happening to me. Now I don't believe that I'll be using Cajun Craze year round, and it's certainly not going to top my list as favorites.  But when you make a card like this, how can you hate it!!!!  To pair with my Cajun Craze base my leaves are Rich Razzleberry, Cinnamon Cider and Cajun Craze.  This might be the perfect fall card.

stampin up, love of leaves, plaid tidings

Finally the final card, Seaside Spray.  Much like the Melon Mambo card, this one shares all the same colors.  The leaves are the same and the only difference is the DSP pattern and the card base.  Still a winner just like the other 2.  So let me know which is your favorite? Do you have a love/hate relation ship with Cajun Craze too??  It's can't just be me!  I have a full supply list below.

First In Person Class

Over the weekend I was so happy to be back to in person classes!!!  This was my first in person class since March when everything shut down.  It was a small class and we all social distanced well and tools were cleaned and sanitized often.  It was so great to see friends I hadn't seen in months!  Since it was the first class in months my theme was simply 'Welcome Back' and the cards highlighted some of my favorite products from both the Annual and Mini Catalogs.  First is the Celebrate Sunflowers Z-Fold card.  I love this card and the richness of the Merry Merlot and Rococo Rose together.  It's a gorgeous fall card.

The next card showcased one of my favorite bundles in the new catalog, the Peace and Joy Bundle.  I also used the Heartwarming Hugs DSP, I LOVE this DSP!!!!  So pretty and sooooo perfect for the holidays, get it this month on sale!

stampin up, peace and joy

This next card is probably a momentous card, probably marking the first time I've used Cajun Craze in a class LOL!!!  I honestly can't remember another time but I have to say this card is one of my favorites, even as I battle my love/hate relationship with Cajun Craze! I used the Banner Year Bundle on this card.  This is one that you might over look in the catalog, but don't! It's a fantastic bundle and worth the investment.

The next card features the Flowers For Every Season DSP and the Forever Greenery Set.  I love the geometric lines on this card and those bright new In Colors! Gorgeous!!!

Finally the last card, last but not least, this is one of my FAVORITES!!!  The Whale Done Bundle has to top my list for top bundles, and for good reason look how cute this card is!  I'm loving the Just Jade and Mint Macaron color combo too! They work so well together!  I don't have a supply list for these cards below, that's a perk reserved for my class attendees.  But you can shop for these products in my Online Store.

I die cut the largest leaf from the DSP then inset some diecut cardstock in there. The DSP is popped up on Dimensionals while the cardstock is flat, I love the dimension this gives!  I added some more die cut leaves and a greeting.  Finally to finish the card I added some gems from the Flowers For Every Season Gems.  I love the clear ones, they look like dew drops!  I have a full supply list below.  Don't forget to stock up on your DSP this month!
