Daffodil Afternoon Tapered Flat Top Box-VIDEO

This little box is one of my favorites!  I wasn't quite sure how it was going to come out, and to be honest I had to make it a couple of times to make sure it was right.  In the end we're left with an adorable sweet box, filled with chocolate so it's a winner for sure!  The best part of this box is that you can make it with a 6" x 6" piece of DSP so whether you have a stack of 6" x 6" DSP or you're trimming down a 12" x 12" piece of DSP it will work with little waste of paper! I don't know about you but I have a hard time wasting DSP because it's so pretty!!!

This box is really cute because the top is more narrow than the bottom, so it tapers slightly at the top.  But you still have a flat top and a tab to tuck into the back of the box.  Easy to make and easy to open!  My favorite kind of box.  The DSP that I'm featuring today is the Daffodil Afternoon DSP.  This DSP you can only earn free with a qualifying $50 order in my Online Store during Sale-a-Bration.  There's only about a month left of Sale-a-Bration so if you haven't earned your free products yet you're running out of time!

Along with the Daffodil Afternoon DSP I'm using the Sweet Conversations Bundle from the mini and the Calming Camellia Sale-a-Bration Host Set.  I love the greeting in the Calming Camellia set and the heart and tag die was perfect from the Sweet Conversations Bundle.  I added some Bumblebee Ribbon and Brass Butterflies to complete my box.  Make sure to check out the video for all the other details on this box.

Inside the box are three of the Valentine Ghirardelli Hearts.  These I found at Target.  If you can't find these the Mini Ghirardelli squares will fit (the mini ones that are 1" x 1"), plus lots of other treats too!

To make the box you'll need a piece of DSP that is 6" x 6"
If you're DSP has a pattern that will make a difference when assembling make sure your DSP is in the correct top/bottom orientation for the first side to score.
Score at 1 1/2", 2 3/4", 4 1/4" and 5 1/2"
Turn and score at  1", 4", 4 3/4" and 5 1/2"
Trim as pictured or as shown in the video.
On the side tabs make a mark in the middle at 5/8"

Friendly Hello Birthday

I had some extra card kits from my class earlier this month so I decided to mix up a few of the supplies and create an all new card.  I used the new Friendly Hello Sale-a-Bration Bundle.  You can only earn this bundle free with a $100 qualifying order.  From the bundle I used the stamp set.  The DSP on this card is from the Sunshine and Rainbows DSP another great Sale-a-Bration choice, earn the DSP with a qualifying $50 order.

There are so many elements on this card that make it stand out.  The bottom layer has been run through the Cut and Emboss Machine with the Stitched Greenery Die adding lots of details.  The piece behind the bird is embossed with the Pretty Flowers Embossing Folder.  I stamped my image in Misty Moonlight.  My bird is colored with a combination of Misty Moonlight and Balmy Blue Stampin' Blends.  Don't be afraid to mix colors with your Stampin' Blends.  I love the soft look it gives.  The card is finished with some White Seam Binding Ribbon and Iridescent Rhinestones.  I have a full supply list below, you can shop for these products in my Online Store.

Rainbow Pen Box-VIDEO

Today's box is sooo cute, sooo fun and a great gift for anyone in your life!  (I had to wrestle this away from my 11 year old).  This is a tall box but it's so easy to put together.  I have a video below, you can watch that for tips and tricks.  I'm using my favorite bundle in the Mini Catalog the Rainbow of Happiness Bundle.  If you get this bundle during Sale-a-Bration make sure you bump up your order to $50 to earn the free Sunshine and Rainbows DSP in the Sale-a-Bration Catalog.  These two are a match made in heaven!  We're using both today!

stampin up, rainbow of happiness

I used a piece of the Sunshine and Rainbows DSP on the top of my box.  Because this DSP only comes in 6" x 6" I filled in the bottom of the box with a stamped greeting on Basic White Cardstock.  For my rainbow, I die cut the rainbow from the Pool Party Supple Shimmer Paper.  I used my Magenta Madness, Granny Apple Green and Fresh Freesia to color some of the arcs, I left the Pool Party one alone.  I love how amazing and sparkly this rainbow is!!!

I finished my box with some gold clouds from the Brushed Metallic Cardstock, a big bow with some Polished Pink Ribbon and of course some Iridescent Rhinestones.  This box is so fun!  Anyone would love to get this box.
Fresh Freesia 11" x 6 1/2"
On the long side score at 1", 9 1/2" and 10 1/2"
On the short side score at 2", 3", 5" and 6"
DSP 6" x 1 3/4"
Basic White 1 3/4"x 2 1/4"

Inside my box is this amazing light up rainbow shaker pen!  I found mine at my local Hobby Lobby, I also found it on their website, you can get it here.  If you can't find it in your area you can fit any number of fun treats in here.  I have a full supply list below.  Make sure you check out my video for all the details on this project.  Subscribe to my YouTube Channel so you never miss a video.

Butterflies and Flowers Masks

We have some new masks in the Mini Catalog and I don't mean masks for your face.  No these are the fun kind of masks.  Masks can be used in so many different ways.  You can use them with embossing paste, sponges, sponge daubers, markers and more!  Today I'm using mine with Blending Brushes, another great option.  These masks are detailed and so gorgeous, plus they work great for layering too!
I started with one of the background masks and very lightly added some Pool Party Ink with my Blending Brush.  I love this subtle background.

stampin' up, butterflies and flowers masks

I used Polished pink for my butterfly, adding a lighter layer of ink.  Then without moving the butterfly mask place the flower mask on top and add more ink, this time I went a little heavy handed with my Polished Pink ink.  Remove both masks and stand in awe of the beauty!  Such little effort for such a stunning result!  I heat embossed a greeting in gold with the new Bragworthy set.  I splattered the entire card with some Wink of Stella to add sparkle!  To finish the card I added some new Brushed Brass Butterflies and Simply Elegant Trim.  This card might be the closest to a one layer card that I'll get.  I have a full supply list below, you can shop for these products in my Online Store.

Driving By Sliding Card-VIDEO

I just LOVE today's card!  The colors the images, it's all sooooo cute!!!  The best part of this card though is the little fan and when you pull the tab on the right the van 'drives' by.  It's soooo cute my heart can't take it!!!  Make sure you check out the video below for all the tips on this card.  It's easy to put together but a few tips will save you lots of time.  Make sure you also subscribe to my YouTube Channel so you never miss a video.  Plus when you subscribe, like, share or comment on a video or social media post you really help my business grow.  I appreciate it so much!

Let's talk about this sliding card.  To make this card you need three key pieces then everything else is design choices.
First you need a channel for your object to slide in.  For the channel on this card I used the Stitched Rectangle Dies. Punches will also work if you have a long punch, you can even just cut a channel with your paper trimmer.
Second you need a long tab to pull your focal image through the channel.  I'm using Basic White Cardstock so everything coordinates.  I punched the end of my tab with the Lovely Labels Pick a Punch.
Finally you need a focal image.  In this case it's the adorable van!  I stamped the flowers on the van with the flowers from the Hello Ladybug set (below I've linked the bundle because if you get the set you have to get the bundle too.  It's soooo cute plus you save 10% when you purchase in a bundle!).  I colored my van with Stampin' Blends and added some Shimmery Crystal Effects to the windows for some shine.  It really makes the van come to life.
With those three elements you can create any sliding card you want.  Check out my video for assembly details!

I added a fun sky background by using my clouds border from the Basic Border Dies and a Blending Brush to make a fun sky. I finished the card with a fun greeting and some Loose Flowers.  I have a full supply list below, you can shop for all of these products in my Online Store.  Remember the Driving By set is only available through the end of February and you can ONLY earn it FREE with a qualifying order in my Online Store.

On Point Cacti

I have a quick and cute card to share with you today using the Cactus Cuties Bundle.  This is one of my favorites in the Mini Catalog.  This card is quick to put together.  Perfect for mass production.  The punch that coordinates with this bundle is one of my favorites.  Not only will it punch out some of the images from the set but it punches inside the stamped lines.  If you've never been a fan of the outside borders this punch is the one for you!  I think it gives it a clean finished look.

My right cactus was stamped onto the cardstock directly.  I fussy cut the left one.  The pots were both punched out and popped up with Dimensionals.  I love the pop of gold on the side from the Abstract Beauty DSP.  I have a full supply list below, you can shop for these products in my online store.

Turtle-y Loved Turtle Box-VIDEO

If you haven't checked out this CUTE Turtle Friends Bundle in the Annual Catalog what are you waiting for!?  I loved this bundle when I first saw it last year when the catalog came out.  I've been waiting to do some fun Valentine projects with him!  I think he's pretty perfect for Valentine's! I also used the new Hello Beautiful Bundle from the mini.  The Hello Beautiful Bundle is a perfect companion stamp set to stamps you probably already own.  The dies that coordinate are amazing, you get multiple sizes of hexagons and other shapes.  Basic shape and label dies are always worth investing in.  The stamp set offers lots of fun abstract images that can be used in a variety of ways.  For my box today I used some of the abstract shapes to add color and dimension to my hexagon, as well as give the turtle a little shadow to stand on to ground him.

stampin up, turtle friends, hello beautiful

For my turtle I stamped him on Mint Macron Cardstock in Black Memento.  The shell detail I stamped in Just Jade Ink. I used some Mint Macaron Stampin' Blends to add some details and shading to my turtle.  I colored in his toenails with the dark and used the light on his shell.  I used both to add some shading.  To finish the turtle I stamped him again on a scrap of white and punched out just his eye.  You can also add a googlie eye too.  I added a heart from the Give It A Whirl Dies to his shell.

stampin up, turtle friends, hello beautiful

This box is so cut and has a fold over lid.  You can tuck the lid inside, but I love the way it folds over and you get views of multiple patterns of the beautiful Abstract Beauty DSP.  I used a small Velcro Dot to close my box, you can also use a small magnet if you'd rather.  The Abstract Beauty DSP is gorgeous.  The colors are bright and bold and have pops of gold accents.  LOVE!   This DSP comes in 4" x 6" size.  But you won't be disappointed in the patterns!

stampin up, turtle friends, hello beautiful

Inside the box are three individually wrapped Turtles Chocolates.  I found a bag of these at Wal-Mart in their Valentine section.  The box has some side tabs that fold inside the box to give your box a nice clean finished look.  I rounded the corners on the inside tabs and the fold over lid with the Detailed Trio Punch.

I think three Turtles is a nice treat.  This box is a good size and will absolutely hold lots of other treats too.  Box measurements below:

Magenta Madness 10 1/2" x 8 1/2"
On the short side score at 1/2", 3", 5 1/2" and 8"
On the long side score at 2 1/2", 4 1/2", 7" and 9"

Abstract Beauty DSP
2 3/8" x 2 3/8" (front box)
2 3/8" x 1 7/8" (three pieces, sides and top)
2 3/8" x 1 3/8" (front lid)

Check out my video for details on this box.  I have a full supply list below, you can shop for these products in my Online Store.

Otter Spotlight

I am loving these otters so much!!!!  They are my favorite stamp set in Sale-a-Bration.  They're so adorable!!  For today's card I wanted a simple and fun card.  I decided to spotlight my otter using the Watercolor Shapes Set.  The Watercolor Shapes is in the Annual Catalog but it's a great basic set to have when you just want an additional layer or a fun background.  I stamped the largest circle on my Basic White Cardstock.  I stamped my otter image over it in Black Memento Ink. I also stamped the otter a second time on a scrap piece of Basic White.

stampin up, awesome otters

I colored my otter on my scrap piece of Basic White and fussy cut just the otter.  I didn't bother with the waves or splashes.  I used my Bermuda Bay Stampin' Blend Marker to hightlight those on the piece that was stamped over the circle.  I finished my card with some ribbon and some of our new Faux Sea Glass pieces.  They're suce a fun and unique shape! I have a full supply list below, you can shop for these products in my Online Store.
