Punch Pouch
I made another gift for everyone at the Craft Weekend. One of our activities was a 'Chapter Meeting' at the meeting everyone got a punch and one lucky winner also received the stamp set that went along with this punch! I made the little pouches that the punches came in. They came out really cute!!!!
Years ago Stampin' Up! used to carry fabric. Well I've never gotten rid of mine and somehow I had tons and tons of it! Not sure why or how, I'm not a sewer! But I told Michelle when we were planning to come up with something I could use all this fabric with and the bags were born. They're different then I originally thought they'd be. I did end up sewing all of them! Whew! That was a lot, and I did it in 3 days cause I procrastinated until the last minute!
I lined them with vinyl, which helped keep them a little more durable for the heavy punch. They originally were not going to be sewn but we decided they'd be cutter that way and they vinyl worked perfectly! As for sizes for the pouches, I wrote it all down but I don't think I kept it EEEEKKK! They're pretty easy, it was a rectangle piece of fabric and vinyl, folded in half, sewn up the 2 sides and across the top. That's pretty much it!

Bag Of Sunshine!
On our last day at Sorority Weekend Michelle has her downline (and me!) all create a gift to give everyone. We've done wine tags in the past, boxes, tons of cute stuff. This time we were giving all our sorority sisters a bag of sunshine, so the only guideline on our gifts was that it had to be yellow. I found these yellow notepads from Oriental Trading (they have them in all colors). I decorated the front super simple and fun. The flowers were not made by me (ahhh!). I got them from a box craft store. There's a little tassel on the bottom left, it's tied inside the book, so it can be used as a bookmark. I love the tassel!

Swapping Cards
At Sorority Weekend we had a little 3x4 card swap. The rules were it had to be 3x4, just the front of the card. I made the required amount for these, then you swap and get a bunch of different ones. In the end you're left with tons of cute 3x4 cards. They're the perfect size to stick on a note card and BOOM, instant card! Isn't that a cute idea!!!!??! You can also use them in scrapbooks or Project Life albums too, they're perfectly sized for those too.
I love my card! So cute with the kitty and the puppy! I used watercolor paper and I water colored them. I broke out a retired product for this one. I pulled out my Water Color Crayons from years and years and years ago!!!! It's one of the very, very few products I've kept. I LOVED using them. I'm going to use them more. I love how easily the color with. I'll have the swaps I got in return soon!

Be A Pineapple
Craft weekend is over, of course it was awesome, I'll have a full wrap up later this week. First I have all the stuff I prepped prior to Craft Weekend to share. Let me tell you it was a mad dash to get it all done! I had it on my calendar for the wrong weekend! Once I realized it was a week sooner than I thought crazy, crafty, mad woman stamper came out and got everything ready like a crazy person! Lol! Of course I always make gifts for my wonderful friends who join me at craft weekend. This time I made this! Really all I did was the tag, I did consider making the pineapple jelly, but I'm really not a fan of pineapple so I figured it was easier to buy it, and I was running low on time :)
I didn't make up this saying about pineapples, I don't have have that much wisdom, but I love it so I used it on my tags of course with the Pineapple stamp with I do love....unlike the real fruit. And strangely enough not a single person asked why my shopping cart was full of pineapple jelly, apparently you can buy as much jelly as you want but when you buy a 8 tiny bottles of vodka people question your motives. :)

BONUS! Saturday Card!
I don't often post on weekends but this card was pretty special and I knew with all that I'm creating at craft weekend it might be the middle to end of August before I would get a chance to share it. So I have a quick bonus Saturday post! Yay! This card is soooo pretty! I love how it came out! It was partly CASED from the example in the catalog on page 150. I love mine though! I made this card for my friend Lisa who got married in Minnesota yesterday. Congratulations Lisa!
I used some masking with post it notes to create the flowers. For the sentiment I didn't want to cover any of the flowers so instead I used an Xacto knife and cut around some of the flowers and slid the greeting under that. It's a cute way to still showcase your hard work and attach a fun greeting too. Back to work at craft weekend I go!
Thanks for looking, see you soon!!!!
PS Kim I know you're reading this, get downstairs and get to work! ;)

Foxy Friends Mini Cards
Really quick post today, I'm already having a TON of fun at craft weekend! I made these cute, quick 3x3 cards for Logan and Megan before I left. I always leave them a couple presents just a couple new small toys to play with while I'm gone. I attached these cards to them. Back to craft weekend!

Stamp Set Of The Month
This months stamp set of the Month is Vertical Greetings! I love this set so much! I wasn't sure I would. Sometimes you buy a set not quite sure if you're gonna grove with it, but this one is a keeper! I love the greetings, especially the way it's used on this card. I love it stamped on a piece of vellum and attached to the card. So cute!!!
When you purchase this stamp set in August you'll get supplies and instructions to make these three cards. If you preorder the set before August 1st you also get a free gift!
This card is probably my favorite, the front stamped panel comes off for a detachable book mark!!!! Hello!!!! How CUTE is that!!!!!???!??! So fun!!!! Today is the day! I'm off to Sorority Craft weekend! Yay!!!! Don't forget to 'like' me on Facebook to follow all my crazy stamping adventures this weekend! Check back Monday for the first of many posts about Craft Weekend!

Feeling Blue Again
I have the final 2 cards from my Feeling Blue Class over the weekend. I love this first one, though I just love this entire set I think! I love that you can layer up the stamping and it gives a beautiful water colored look. So pretty! If you want to know more about the Feeling Blue class check out yesterday's post where I explain my inspiration for it all :)
This last card is probably my favorite, it's a fun fold, meaning the Pool Party embossed layer is on inside of the card and the card front is cut just short of 5.5" so that that Pool Party layer shows through. But I love this card, I love all the dots. They're all done with sponge daubers so they couldn't be easier!!! If you want to be a part of this movement to send cards to those in our lives that need extra love right now it's easy just post a picture of your card on Facebook or Instagram, with the hashtag #frommetoyouwhenyourefeelingblu And search the hashtag on social media to find lots of fun other samples from people participating too.

Feeling Blue Class
A little over a month ago when I was planning my July class I needed a theme and I came across this blog post by Petra. Her post talks about how powerful and uplifting it can be when you receive a hand made card (or any card) in the mail. And for someone who is struggling with depression or maybe just going through a hard time a simple card of support can mean the world to them. I focused my July class around this idea, these cards are made specifically for those people in our lives that need a little extra love, a card hug. If you want to know more about this movement make sure you check out Petra's blog. Can we just take a minute and talk about the amazingness of the new Copper Embossing Powder. LOOOOVVVVEEE!!!!
I can't say enough amazing things about the Weather Together Bundle. Seriously can that umbrella be any cuter!!!! GAH! I have big plans for this set at craft weekend this week!!!!

Tiny Treats
I had a really fun class over the weekend, more on the cards and projects tomorrow and Wednesday! Of course you know I love to give my guests gifts! This month I wanted to try the Tiny Treat Boxes in the catalog. They. Are. So. CUTE!!!!! They're about 2x2 and they're the best!!! Not too small but not too big. They're so sturdy, not flimsy at all!!! They hold chocolate perfectly-which let's face it the only selling point it really needs! Finally at only $7.50 for 16 boxes, you're paying less than 50 cents for each one!
There's about a bazillion and one ways you can dress up these boxes. I went really simple with mine and just added some DSP on a couple of sides. The boxes are 2 inch cubes so I cut a 6x2 inch piece of DSP, scored it at 2 and 4 folded it and stuffed it in, filled my box with chocolate and tied some bakers twine on top. So cute!!!!!

Sweet Cupcake
We are official one week out from the beginning of our Sorority Craft weekend, I leave Thursday so really it's 6 days for me, but who's counting ;) I have bunch of posts for the next week then you know I'll be posting all the craft weekend madness starting July 25! Of course I'll be posting updates all throughout the weekend on my Facebook Page. If you haven't liked it head over to like it before Thursday! But you came here to see a cute card, and this one is CUTE!
It features everything from the Sweet Cupcake Bundle. Adorable set, fun framelits, what else do you need! I think Sweet Sugarplum is my favorite new In Color and doesn't it just look so yummy with Rich Razzleberry!!!! The top and bottom of the cupcake are 3 step stamps. I used 2 ink pads for each of them. For the top I used Sweet Sugarplum and Rich Razzleberry, stamp the sugarplum off on scratch paper first for your bottom layer so you get a lighter color, then full ink for layer 2 and Rich Razzleberry for layer 3. For the cupcake I did the same thing with Crumb Cake and Chocolate Chip, stamp Crumb Cake off first for the first layer, and so on. For the 'wish' greeting I cut 2 with white cardstock and one with Rich Razzleberry cardstock. Glue and layer them together. This gives the awesome dimension we all love but without having to cut micro pieces of dimensionals.

Foxy Friends Bookmarks
I saw these bookmarks on Pintrest posted by Stampin' Up! I loved them and knew my 9 year old would love to make one too, he's got a little obsession with foxes. Yesterday afternoon we sat down to work on our bookmarks. Dis you ever have one of those days when you were all thumbs? That was me yesterday while trying to make a racoon. Problem after problem and all stuff like I couldn't use the glue or scissors or stamp correctly....seriously I would have had better success doing it blindfolded! There was lots of time when Logan would just sit and stare at me with a "you do this for a living?" kind of look. Somehow, about 40 minutes later my raccoon was done and so was Logan's fox.
They're really cut and they hook onto pages of books to hold your spot. (FYI: This is one of Logan's books. The Lightning Thief by Rick Riordan----I think. Logan is obsessed with ALL Rick Riordan books. He's defiantly Logan's favorite author.) Logan stamped his foxes eyes and nose, while I added googlie eyes to mine. I thought the googlie eyes would be really cute, and they are, except the poor raccoons one eye kept rolling to the back of his head. Seriously though, that was the least of the problems with this raccoon! He gave me all kinds of trouble! To make the bookmarks we punched 2 of everything (head, body and tail). Really you only need 2 heads but I wanted to make the rest of the animal a little sturdier too. Glue the 2 body pieces together and the 2 tail pieces together. For the head you want to glue them together but only at the top. We put glue just in the ears and along the very top of his head. This gives and opening to 'hook' onto your pages. Assemble completely and it's all ready!! Really cute!!!

Vertical Birthday
I keep reaching for our new In Colors whenever I sit down to stamp! I can't help it! I love them so much! This card I pulled out my Flirty Flamingo, Peekaboo Peach and Sweet Sugarplum. I stamped the 'Happy Birthday' from the Vertical Greeting set over and over and then embossed in clear embossing powder. I used sponge daubers to add color all over the paper. The embossed areas will resist the ink. It's a really fun quick way to created a pretty background.
I used my markers to complete the greeting on the card. I added some silver thread, sequins and some glimmer paper to give the whole thing some shine and sparkle! So pretty I just love it!

Camera Shaker
I'm happy to report that after a long week of work I'm finally starting to catch up, not there yet but the end is in sight! I have exciting things happening in the next couple of weeks, I have a class this weekend and the week after is Craft Weekend! Yay!!! I'm so excited, I need a break. The summer seems to be flying by but we've been soooo busy that I'm ready for some time away! But I do have a really fun project for you today. This card was not my original idea but I love the final product even though there was a MAJOR craft-astrophe in the middle I wasn't sure I'd be able to finish it. The card that inspired this one is here. There's tons of cards on this post so make sure you scroll down until you find the camera card.
My craft-astrophe, this is what nearly ruined my card and I nearly lost it at this point......I had just finished outlining my shaker image with our adhesive foam strips (which are phenomenal for shaker cards!). You'll see I used a lot, one of the keys to a good shaker is to make sure there's no gaps in the adhesive areas that's holding your shaker bits. Any holes and you'll loose your shaker bits. The strips are perfect to do this! I love them so much!!!! Once I got all my strips on there I filled up the shaker, took off my backings and then accidentally hit my card and boom shaker bits (chunky gold glitter from a big box store) all over my strips. UGH!!!!! I think I just sat there staring at it for a minute. At this point so much time had already been invested in the card, I was nearly done!!!!! The front was stamped, I hand cut the flash with an exacto knife....I was just not ready to give up on this card. So with tweezers I carefully picked every. piece. of. glitter. off. That took a really long time but worth it in the end.
The card was then quickly put together as I didn't want to risk any more problems. It's really cute though, and all the gold bits shake around. So fun!!!!
I have plans at craft weekend to make a bunch of shaker cards, I'm really excited I love them!!!! But who doesn't love a shaker card!

Pun Inteded-Light Bulb
You guys I have a confession......I can't read a calendar.....apparently.... Here's the story about why my blog may go silent for a few days. Our craft weekend is coming up this month YAY!!!!! Here's where the trouble started, I had it on my calendar for the wrong weekend. I had is scheduled for the weekend after it actually is. So while I'm here enjoying my July thinking I have all the time in the world to get all my work done prior to the weekend, NOPE! I have one less week to do it! EEEKK!!! It's amazing the difference one week can make! I'm am now working in overdrive to catch up and be prepared for the weekend. Which means I'll have a little less time to stamp and blog over the next few days. Bear with me as I catch up! In the mean time I do have a really cute card to share with you today.
This card just makes me happy, I love the colors, I love that they're in rainbow order. It makes me want to make more rainbow cards. Remember my rainbow week????? That was fun, I need to do it again......soon.....stay tuned...... I used the hostess set Pun Intended, and just stamped the light over and over again in different colors. I added an embossed greeting and some sequins from the June Paper Pumpkin kit to finish the card. So cute! I just love it! I will be back soon with a new project, I promise!

In Color Love
You guys not since Coastal Cabana or even Baja Breeze have I been this happy with our In Colors! I seriously cannot stop using them. I wanted to make a 'one layer' card. Now it's not exactly a one layer card I do have a couple die cuts on there, but essentially it's one layer. I love that these colors just work together. To create the background I took my inks, Peekaboo Peach, Flirty Flamingo and Sweet Sugarplum, and my sponge daubers and I just put the ink on the card base. It's really that easy. Once my card was nice and covered in ink and my colors were well blended I used my spritzer and made some nice water drops on the card. Have a paper towel handy, you don't want the water to dry on the card. The water will 'bleach' out some of the ink, I left the water on for only a few seconds then used the paper towel to blot the card and pick up that water. I love this look!
As for the die cuts, I used the Sunshine Wishes thinlits. I cut the 'love' from some black glimmer paper and the heart from some vellum. I used 2 pieces of vellum and stuck them together. I wanted the heart to stand out but not so much that it would become distracting on the card, vellum worked great!

Happy Fourth!
Happy Fourth of July to my friends in the USA! I hope you're enjoying your long weekend! I have a really quick post today, just a fun patriotic decoration I made quickly last week. The star wreath was picked up from the clearance section at a craft store. Then I made some Real Red, Pacific Point and Whisper White rosettes.
I didn't measure any of the cardstock. I used scraps I had in my drawer, they were all different lengths and widths, really any size would work here. I scored every half inch and accordion folded them. Then I adhered each end and flattened them into rosettes. Super easy and quick! Lots of hot glue was used on this :)

Hugs and Fishes
I had the Seaside Shore set on my wishlist but didn't think I'd be buying it so soon. But I just couldn't stop thinking about those fish. Perhaps it's the Dory crazy that's sweeping the nation, by the way Finding Dory is such a good movie, we all loved it! You should see it if you haven't, if you're in Albuquerque and need a friend to go with you I'll be your friend! So many life lessons for all of us in that movie! Continuing with the card now...I just had fish on the brain. Especially mirroring the fishes like this. Mirror stamping isn't new and there's lots of ways to do it. Probably the most common way is to stamp your image on a window sheet then press the window sheet onto some cardstock. You'll end up with a mirror image.
I wanted my fish to be more than one color so used 3 ink pads. You can use markers and actually markers probably would have blended the lines together a little better but I had my ink pads out and I'm a lazy stamper so I carefully inked it with the pads, I started with the lightest color and worked my way to the darkest color, easy peasy! There's tons of new stuff on this card but one other thing I wanted to mention was the greeting. I used the new Labeler Alphabet set. I was curious to know if this set would replace my rotary stamp, the verdict.....I don't know yet. I'm such a fan of the rotary stamp I'll think I'll have a hard time letting it go, however this set is fun, plus I like the block letters and I like that they're larger than the letters on the rotary. One downside of the set though, I stamped my letters, every one of them, one by one. I tried lining them all up on a block and stamping together but I found there was too much space between each letter especially with the block letters. Is that a deal breaker-of course not, not for me anyway. It's a little more time consuming to stamp each letter one by one, but I don't mind spending that time on a card. So not sure it will replace my rotary stamp, but I'll be using this one lots! Those of you in the USA have a very happy and SAFE holiday weekend!!!
