Number 1600

Before we get to the card, and other news just a reminder TODAY is the last day to comment on this post to win your own Rich Razzleberry castle card-hurry go!!!!  The winner and card will be posted on Monday, good luck!!!!  In other news this is my 1600 post!!!  1600!  That's a whole lot of stamping, coloring, cutting, MDSing and dimensionals!  I don't even want to think about how many dimensionals I've used in my stamping career, let's just say it isn't a little number :)  I love my blog, it's not the 'biggest' or possible the most original (let's face it, I'm good at CASEing things) but I love it.  It's my creative retreat, it's what keeps me stamping daily (mostly) and it's made me a better stamper all around.  It's my small connection to you and the Stampin' Up! world.  Whether you've been following me for years of if you've just found me, THANK YOU!!  I'm pretty sure that I'd do my blog even if no one looked at it.  But it brings joy to my heart when you comment, email or tell me in person how much you've loved a card or project that I've shared.  So thanks for sticking with me for 1600 posts, here's to many many more!!!
Now that the mushy, gushy stuff is out of the way let's get to the card :)  So when I saw this set, Kinda Eclectic, in the catalog I thought 'cute but not for me'.  Then I saw one card that I liked, then two, then ten and well now I own it :)  I didn't think I would, but I just love this little collage effect!!!  This stamp (along with a box of other items-yay) was delivered to me, just minutes after I returned home from my stamp session with Carmelita.  Well the creativity was already flowing so I opened it up and made this card.  I stuck with my 'gold' theme for the day, mostly because that paper was already out :)  I embossed the sunburst in gold to tie in the Gold Soiree DSP, then I used Calypso Coral and Garden Green to stamp everything else.  I added a butterfly and some gold sequins.  Lovely!!!  I love this card!!!  Thanks for sticking with me for 1600 posts!  Check back Monday to see my lovely Rich Razzleberry (can't part with it it's too pretty) castle and the winner!
Thanks for looking, see you soon!!!

Ruth, first... CONGRATS on your 1600th post! That's awesome! I can't imagine how much work that is to keep up. I have a 2 blogs, 1 with SU and 1 outside of SU and I know how much work it takes to post daily. I'm lucky I get it once a month. But it is fun, and you are a very creative gal. Now on to your card.. LOVE IT! I wasn't big on that stamp set either, until I saw 1 other card, and now yours. Guess it will be on my list. I love what you did here with this card Ruth. Very striking! Hugs!
