Vintage Polka Dots

We had a yucky weather day yesterday. It was windy and cold and all around yucky weather. But on the upside it was the perfect day to be inside stamping! Which is what I did!

Stampin' Up! is making a difference again! From now until February 28 when you buy the I {heart} Hearts Set in the mini $2 will be donated to the American Red Cross for the Haiti Earthquake. This is a great way to help, and the money will be going to a great place. For more details on helping click here. You can order from my website or contact me.

I tried some new color combos yesterday-by accident. I made this card and finished it, then looked and thought, hmmmm the flower needs some leaves. So I grabbed my Old Olive pad-out of habit, it's what I always use for leaves. I attached them to the card, then it hit me Old Olive and Sage Shadow-hmmm. Should have used Sage Shadow for the leaves. Then I started debating, do I take the card apart, do I just switch card bases, just the leaves? But the more I looked at it the more it grew on me. Since the leaves are small and there's not much Old Olive I think it works with this card. Had there been an overwhelming amount of Old Olive I'm not sure it would have worked. So I left the card as is and I have to say I'm really quite pleased. I think it works, what about you?

I love the polka dots and the DSP-that's the new SAB Good Neighbor DSP by the way!
