Birthday Butterfly

Tonight is our monthly demonstrator meeting. We're doing a shoebox swap tonight instead of our regular meeting. They're really fun. For the swap you make one sample then bring enough supplies for everyone else to make your card.

I'm not sure how I feel about today's card. I think it came out nice but the measurements kind of bother me. I think I made the white piece too big or it needs another accessory or something. But I really like the hardware on the ribbon.

For the butterfly, I stamped it on a window sheet with staz on. Then I did the stained glass technique like I showed you in a tutorial last week. But instead of attaching the window sheet to the card. I pressed it against a piece of glossy cardstock. So all the colors blend together and give it a nice watercolored look. And just adds random texture to the butterfly.
Supplies
Stamp Set: Flores Suaves (Spanish Catalog)
Cardstock: Bravo Burgundy, Rose Red, Glossy White, Parisian Breeze DSP
Ink: Stazon, Bravo Burgundy, Rose Red
Accessories: Bravo Burgundy Ribbon, Designer hardware, Crystal Effects, Corner Rounder, dimensionals
Thanks for looking, see you tomorrow.

I think this card looks great. Not too much white space. I like the way you put in a couple rounded corners alternated with regular square corners.
