Today's card is soooo cute!!!! I'm totally smitten with it! I posted a poll in my VIP Group on Facebook, all are welcome to join by the way! I asked how many Christmas cards people send and if it's one design or multiple designs. So many of you send LOTS of cards and you make lots of different designs which is so awesome! I wanted to share a non-traditional card with a really non-Christmas set. Non-traditional cards are my favorite to make, I think in the sea of red and green cards these cards really stand out.
The inspiration for this specific card came from a pet ornament kit I got in the Dollar Spot at Target. Inspiration is EVERYWHERE! I thought the 'Paws Love and Joy' was so stinkin' cute. I have the supplies, why not turn it into a card. I used the Pampered Pets Set to stamp my dog, he's colored in Stampin' Blends. The letters are all die cut with the Playful Alphabet Dies. I put Adhesive Sheets on the back of all my letters to make them easy to adhere. They're such a game changer for letters or detailed die cuts.
My dog needed an extra bit of Christmas cheer so I used my stocking dies which has the smallest little holly leaves and berries. They were the perfect size! So I added those to the collar of the dog, and covered it with Wink of Stella for sparkle. My DSP's are the Brights Collection and the Pattern Party Host Collection. You could easily substitute a more festive DSP. My DSP sizes are 5 1/4" x 3 1/2" for the larger piece and 5 1/4" x 3/4" for the smaller piece. I used a coordinating piece of cardstock that is 5 1/4 x 1/4" to cover where the DSP's meet. I love these colors and since I was already in the non-traditional route I stuck with it. I finished the card with some Artistry Blooms Sequins and White Baker's Twine.
