#redboxchallenge

I posted these cards on my Facebook page recently with #redboxchallenge.  The Paper Pumpkin team at Stampin' Up! is running a challenge all through January! It's not too late to participate!  They want you to create a project using past Paper Pumpkin kits and post them to social media with the hashtag #redboxchallenge when you share your project on social media you'll be entered into a drawing and could win March's kit free, and early! Yay! This was actually a great time for me to do this, I ended up going through all my old kits and supplies and I had no idea how much awesome stuff I had in my Paper Pumpkin drawer!  Wow!  I love this first card!  It's so bright and fun and fruity!  For this card I pulled out 2 past kits. The card base is from One In A Melon (June 2017) and the 'for you' greeting is from Bold Botanicals (August 2016). I paired it with the new Fruit Basket set in the Occasions Catalog because it just seemed to fit perfectly!
This is the Valentine that my daughter will take to school to share with her 1st grade class. She loves the cute Trolls Slap Bracelets and I'm all for non candy treats! For this one I paired the Adorning Arrows Kit (January 2017) with this months kit. I also added some hearts from the Heart Happiness Set in the Occasions Catalog. She'll sit down with me and help me make these for her whole class.  If you're not subscribed to Paper Pumpkin yet head here to start your subscription.  Or try it for 3 months with a 3 month subscription purchased from my online store.  Plus with the 3 month subscription you get a free Sale-a-Bration item!!!

Magical Day Card Set

One of my favorite suites in the Occasions Catalog is the Myth's and Magic Suite.  Probably because I have a 7 year old girl and these images are right up her alley.  Or perhaps it's the fact that I love unicorns-they're my spirit animal you know.  This set is just perfect for me!  I used all the character images and made a set of 5 cute cards.
Aside from colors they all have the same layout and use the same supplies.  I used the new stripe emobossing folder for the backgrounds.  I put my cardstock in the folder at an angle to get that awesome diagonal stripe to it!
The cards all feature the Myths and Magic Glimmer Paper and a strip of DSP from the Petal Passion DSP pack.  The greeting is from the Lovely Wishes set, also in the Occasions Catalog.
All the images were colored with Stampin' Blends and then die cut with the Magical Mates Framelits.  What's not to love about these cards!!!
I can't decide which is my favorite but boy this dragon sure is in the running!!!  So cute!!!  I love them all!!!

Love Bug Note Cards

I love this time of year.  I love Valentine's treats and candies.  Not so much to eat myself, I'm actually kind of a picky chocolate eater.  I love See's and Ghiradelli the best!!!  But I love the cute and fun and unique sweet little treats that are all over the stores right now!  These cut Reese's Love Bugs were wayyy too cute to pass up!!!  They have little eyes, and they look like little lady bugs!  So cute!!!
I made a bunch of these!  I used our new Narrow Notecards (LOVE!) and our Tutti Frutti DSP stack.  I love this DSP so much, the colors are so bright and fun!  So sweet!  I started by adhering the DSP to the note card then I cut out a heart from the note cards with the Lots To Love Framelits.  I adhered the cut out heart onto the inside of the card.  No waste at all with this card.  I added some of the Tutti Frutti sequins to finish the cards.
My little love bug chocolates fit perfectly in that heart!  When you open the card, the love bug stays adhered to the heart inside the card and you have a fun heart window on the front of your card.  So CUTE!!  I love this!! These are great little gifts to have on hand!!!  I have a Target bag on my desk FULL of more little treats that I can't wait to package up!!

Good Day Birds

I shared the swaps from our meeting last week here, but I never got a chance to share my swaps with you.  This was the card I made for the swap.  I used the A Good Day Set from the Occasions Catalog.  I think it's such a cute set but is easily over looked.  There's tons of little adorable images in it!  I used my Stampin' Blends to color the birds.  So cute!

Lots To Love Box-3 Ways!

The new Lots to Love Box Framelits in the Painted With Love Suite in the Occasions catalog is one of my favorites! I love the sweet box that it makes but I wanted to see what else it could do and see how far I could stretch it.  I came up with a couple extra variations on how to use this framelit.
When you make the box as the framelit is designed you get a box that looks like this.  Super cute, no doubt!!!  The finished box is about 5x3x3/4".  It's a great size and perfect for our new Narrow Note Cards!
I wanted to make something a little larger, so I came up with this box.  By adding some bigger sides to it I was able to expand the box to a size that's about 5x3x1 1/2".  The sides are pleated and I used a gold clip to hold it closed on top, you could always tie some ribbon too.  To make this box you'll need to cut two of the box framelits, cut the half circle and the small side tabs off both.  You'll also need 2 pieces of cardstock. First one cut to 1 1/2" x 7 7/8" score at 3". Another cut at 1 1/2" x 5 1/2" score at 7/8".  The extra cardstock pieces get wrapped around the sides and adhered to the side and bottom tabs to create your box.
Then I decided I needed a box that was smaller.  Something sized for treats or small gifts.  This box is approximately 2x3x3/4".  To create this box you only need one to cut one of the box framelit.  With the flat end on the left score at 2 1/4" and 2 7/8".  Then it will just fold up into a sweet little box.  If you want to see more on these boxes join me on my Facebook Page tomorrow, Wednesday January 24, at 12:30pm on my Facebook page where I'll be making all three of these boxes.

Make and Takes

I mentioned I had a meeting with my team recently, these are the two make and takes they got to make at the meting.  We got to use the new Stamparatus at the meeting which was really exciting!  We used it to make this birthday card.  With the Stamparatus we were able to ink the stamp in two different colors and stamp them perfectly over and over!  I love that tool!!!  I can't wait to show you more with it! This stamp set is a Sale-a-Bration option free with a $100 purchase.  It's called Happy Wishes and it's a HUGE stamp set with 16 stamps in it!!!
Our second Make and Take used products from the Painted With Love Suite in the Occasions Catalog.  We used the Painted With Love DSP-the gold metallic accents on this DSP are incredible!!!  We also used the Sure Do Love You set and Lots to Love Box Framelits to cut out the heart and banner.  Love this card!  If you want to join me at my my next team meeting and use new products and make fun cards talk to me about joining my team or sign up here today!

This is also Erin's, she did 2 one for her and one for her downline.  I love all the framelits she used on this card!

Stampin' Blends And Petal Passion DSP

The Petal Passion DSP in the Occasions Catalog is one of my ALL TIME FAVORITES!  I love all the simple black and white patterns.  I love adding accents of black to my cards.  This DSP is perfect!!!  But I love the big bold images the pattern has.  I one of the floral images down to 4x5 1/4" (6 per 12x12" sheet!).  I love to take them on the go with me with my Stampin' Blends and color them!
Our Stampin' Blends are amazing markers, and they allow for such amazing shading and texture.  These images in the DSP are perfect!!!  You can color one flower or the whole panel like I did.  I love the bold, bright colors!  What are you waiting for head to my online store and pick up this DSP and Stampin' Blends today!

Rainbow Unicorn

Lately, I've been obsessed with two things. Unicorns and rainbows. It's like Stampin' Up! knew that when the Occasions Catalog came out!  This card is so super cute and so easy and quick to make.  I was inspired by this card by Danielle.  I love the white base, and the white embossed greeting on the black.  The pop of color from the rainbow in the back just makes me happy!  To make my rainbow I simple took quarter inch strips of cardstock and adhered them to a scrap piece of paper.  My unicorn is colored lightly with Stampin' Blends and cut out with the coordinating framelits.  I love this card!

Star Top Box

At my class on Saturday I gave everyone a treat bag, I love to give little thank you's for those that come to the class.  This was this months thank you treat!  I love this little box, and it's really easy to make, all you need is the gift bag punch board!  That's it!!!!  I saw this box here and loved it!  I wanted to make mine a little smaller and be able to get 2 from one sheet of cardstock, so I did a few modifications to my measurements.
I started with a 4 1/4"x 11" piece of cardstock.  This gives me two per sheet-Perfect!!  The box is a great size too!  I filled mine with some trail mix bags, I got these at Target.  You could put a bunch of chocolate or any other little treat in there too.
All you need to make this like I said is the Gift Bag Punch Board.  Instead of following the instructions on the board I simply scored it at the 'side' line every time.  I added the triangle score lines too, that helps give it that start top.  With an 11" piece of cardstock it works out perfectly that you get 5 panels on the side.
Just trim your smaller tab and adhere it to the other side, the bottom tabs just fold in on each other to close off the bottom.  I found it more helpful to punch a 2 1/4" Circle and adhere it on the inside of the bottom as well.  If you want more info on how I made this box I'll be doing a Facebook Live video on my Facebook Page at about 12:30 MT Time on Wednesday  January 17.  I hope you can join me!

Sale-a-Bration Stamp Camp Cards

Over the weekend was my annual Sale-a-Bration stamp camp.  I love this class because who doesn't love stamp camp?  Who doesn't love to earn free stuff?  All the cards feature new stamp sets and accessories from the Occasions and Sale-a-Bration catalogs.  I love this stamp set, Waterfront, there's so many options to making an incredible scene. I love this sweet mountain and lake scene!
I've been drawn to these colors so much lately! Calypso Coral, Berry Burst and Lemon Lime Twist are by far my new favorite color combo! I can't get enough of them!  This pretty card uses two Sale-a-Bration products the Amazing You Set and the Celebrate You Thinlits.
The Beautiful Peacock Set in the Sale-a-Bration catalog is so pretty and elegant I couldn't help but emboss the peacock in gold and add nice rich colors to make this card really stand out.  I used Elegant Eggplant and Rose Red paired with the gold.  So beautiful!
Hands down my favorite card from the class is this one featuring the Sure Do Love You set and Lots to Love Framelits.  I also love that Painted with Love DSP that adds just the right amount of pops of gold!
This card features the A Good Day Set and it's so fun and cute!!!  My guests at my class were given the option of the bunny, deer or bird for their card.  So fun! We did some super simple coloring with the Watercolor Pencils.
Obviously it wouldn't be a Sale-a-Bration class without the Party Pandas!  This card is so sweet and cute! So much fun to make!

Happy Wishes and Best Friends

There's so much on this card that I LOVE!!!  This card features the new Happy Wishes stamp set from the Sale-a-Bration catalog. This is one of the options that you can earn free with a $100 purchase.  This set is huge with 16 stamps in it!  You can build nearly any greeting you'll ever need!!  I also love the colors on this card and all the black, white and gold bold pops of color!
I stamped the 'best' in Archival Black ink on some Glossy paper, then I let it dry.....for a while.  Probably about 3 days, but that's just because I got super distracted.  You defiantly don't need to wait that long.  I colored in the flowers with our regular Stampin' Write Markers. On glossy cardstock they look amazing!  I added some DSP from the Tutti-Frutti DSP pack and a white heat embossed greeting.  I finished the card with some banners of scrap paper and some Black Bakers Twine.  So cute!!!  I love it!

Heartfelt Blooms Colored

Yesterday I shared another card made with the Heartfelt Blooms stamp set.  Today I have this lovely card to share.  Both were stamped in Crumb Cake ink, but just check out how different a little added color makes!!  Incredible!  To color this image I used my Watercolor Pencils.  I didn't add any water because I didn't want to pick up any of the Crumb Cake, so I used them like colored pencils instead of watercolor pencils.
To get the colors to be so bright and intense on the stamped Crumb Cake I colored the flower with my white pencil first.  After I had a nice layer of white, but could still see the flower lines and details I went over it with the colored pencils.  It's an extra step that does take a little longer but the results are worth it!  I finished the card with a white heat embossed greeting and some gold sequins and glimmer paper.
