Twelve Weeks Of Christmas Week 4-Twist and Pop Penguin Place Card-VIDEO

I have a really fun card to share today!  You will love this card, trust me it looks more complicated than it is.  In my video I'll break down step by step how easy it is to make this twist and pop card, but we'll get to the twist and pop part in a minute.  Today I'm using the Penguin Place Set and Penguin Builder Punch.  These were available in last years Holiday Catalog, they were carried over into this years and I'm so glad.  This is one of my absolute favorite builder punches!  Plus there's lots of greetings in this set that can carry you beyond Christmas.  It's so good!  I used the Knit Together Background Stamp for the background.  This is another one of my favorites!

The Penguin Builder Punch is pretty fantastic on it's own but I love to use the set with it because of all the fun accessories for the penguins.  For my card I'm keeping it simple with the hat, scarf and gifts.  You could go all out with this set though!  It just depends on how detailed you want to get.  For my card you'll need five penguins and any accessories they want/need.  I used the punch for the penguin beak too, it's the feet, I just trimmed off the toes.  Their bodies are punched from the Pearlescent Paper to give them a little shimmer and sparkle.  There are no dies or punches for the accessories but they're pretty easy to trim out.

Let's talk twist and pop now!  This card is so amazing because when you open it there's a mechanism inside that will twist up then pop open!  It's so fun!  I promise your friends and family will open and close this card over and over again to watch the magic!

stampin up, penguin place

The inside portion has four panels.  I have three more penguins inside then a panel to write a short note or sign your name.  You could also do some writing on the inside of the card above or below the pop up panel too.  The real magic is the panel on the inside.

Here's all the measurements you'll need to create this card.  Please watch the video for details and tips.  Feel free to slow down the video and pause it if you need to.  I'm listing the colors I used on mine for reference.

Simply Fabulous Nugget Box-VIDEO

If you liked this fun Hershey Nugget treat packaging I shared last week you'll love this one too!  Hershey Nuggets are a great affordable treat option especially when you have lots of treats to make!  They're cute and there are so many options out there to package them up adorably.  Today I have another option to share.  This fun box holds three Hershey Nuggets and is super cute!  Perfect for anyone that needs a boost of chocolate!

I'm using the Simply Fabulous Set today.  I love this set.  I've used it quite a bit in the past too.  There are no dies or punches but the images are so great and there's greetings for nearly any occasion.

stampin up, simply fabulous

I kept my stamping pretty simple.  I did some stamping on my tag, die cut from the All That Dies and a greeting also with dies from the All That Die Set.  I did fussy cut one flower.  If you didn't want to fussy cut a flower you could easily swap that out for a bow of twine or ribbon.  My belly band is a piece of DSP from the Happy Forest Friends Pack.  There's lots of good patterns in that one!  The nuggets are also wrapped in a pattern from that DSP too.

To make the box you'll need a piece of Calypso Coral that is 6 1/2" x 3 3/4"
On the long side score at 1/2" and 1 1/8" from each side
On the short side score at 1/2", 1 1/2", 2 1/8" and 3 1/8"

DSP is 3" x 4"

Hershey Nuggets DSP wraps (three) 3" x 1"

Apple Tapered Bag-VIDEO

I'm so excited to share todays project with you!  I know I say it every week but this is another great project to use year round.  By modifying the DSP and stamps you have a treat bag that you can use for any occasion.  Inside my bag is a small lotion from Bath and Body Works.  They have amazing scents year round so stock up when they're on sale then use this fun bag to gift them in!

stampin up, charming sentiments

This one is so fun! It's like a box but with no score lines on the actual bag it's more like a bag.  Even though there's no score lines on the bag there are some on the bottom but they're easy to do and it's even easier to put together!   I love how the bag tapers at the top.  I used a velco dot to keep mine closed, you could also use magnets or even a clip.

stampin up, charming sentiments

My greeting is from the Charming Sentiments Bundle.  If you love a fussy cut greeting but don't want to do the fussy cutting this bundle is for you.  So many different greetings and every. single. one. has a die to coordinate!  Yay!  My apples are die cut with the Full Basket Dies.  I love these tiny little apples!

stampin up, charming sentiments

To make the bag you'll need DSP that is 6 1/2" x 7"
Score the long side first at 1 1/2"
Turn the DSP on the short side with the 1 1/2" score line at the top of the Simply Scored, score at 1 1/2", 3", 4 1/2" and 6" STOPPING at the score line.

You'll trim the tabs on the bottom and adhere the bottom then the back.  Pinch the top to taper the top of the bag.  Add your circle, adhered on the back.  I have a full supply list below, you can shop for these products in my Online Store.  Check out the video for details on this project.  While you're there make sure to subscribe to my YouTube Channel so you never miss a video.

Tree Rings On My Mind

This card is so cute and it was all made with scraps on my desk.  After classes if I have extras of any die cuts or labels they go into a bowl on my desk and occasionally I'll go through them and make some cards with them.  I used a card base also left over from my last class.  I wanted a big greeting to fill my scalloped rectangle die cut from the Scalloped Contours Dies.  I used a greeting from the Good Feelings Set.  I love this one!  The greetings are amazing!

stamping up, good feelings

The tree rings are some of my favorite dies!  I hope those carry over.  They're a great accent to so many cards!  I finished my card with some Iridescent Rhinestones and Linen Thread.  I have a full supply list below.  You can shop for these products in my Online Store.

Nuts About Squirrels Birthday

I have the cutest card to share!  I love this one so much!  I paired up the squirrel from the Nuts About Squirrels Set with the Knit Together Background Stamp and I'm loving this combo! The Knit Together Background is one of my favorites but so often I forget to use it and never pull it out!  I need to get better because it's sooooo good!  I also love that from die cut from the Fabulous Frames peeking out the back.  It's a small accent that adds so much!

My squirrel is stamped with Basic Gray ink and filled in with Gray Granite ink.  I fussy cut him and added him to my card with some leaves punched with the Bough Punch. I finished the card with some Iridescent Pearls. I have a full supply list below.  You can shop for these products in my Online Store.

Twelve Weeks Of Christmas Week 3-Christmas Pencil Stocking Stuffer-VIDEO

We are cruising through my Twelve Weeks of Christmas countdown.  We're already on week 3!  Where does the time go!  Today I have a really cute stocking stuffer, that's a non-sweet treat.  I know non-sweets are always popular.  This one is super cute!  I'm making a fun Christmas pencil holder.  This box was inspired by Marisa at Kitchen Table Stamper.  I love her style and her fun ideas.  My pencils were bought on Amazon but keep an eye out in your big box stores as Christmas gets closer, they usually always have some Christmas pencils on hand.  Pencils are a fun and affordable gift.  Especially if you're making a bunch of them.

stampin up, Christmas season, sweet candy canes

I'm using two stamps and die sets for this project.  I'm pulling in the Sweet Candy Canes bundle again.  I just love these candy canes and they're such a good size!  I'm also using the Christmas Season Set and Seasonal Labels Dies, their style coordinates so well with the Sweet Candy Canes.  I used Rich Razzleberry for my candy cane, I love throwing in a non traditional color!  My DSP is from the Painted Christmas pack, this is a favorite from last year and I LOVE this DSP!  One of my favorites!

This Birthday Piggy Hershey Nugget Favors-VIDEO

I just love today's sweet treat idea!  I even filmed a quick video for you.  This is a simple and quick and CUTE party favor.  Tomorrow my mom and sisters and I are hosting a birthday party for my Dad's 70th birthday.  I made a stack of these for a fun party favor for our guests.  I used the This Birthday Piggy Set and if you snagged those Playful Piggy Dies last month grab those too.  If you don't have the dies simply stamp your pig onto your white die cut circle and you'll be good to go.

For my treat I found some 2" x 8" cellophane bags in my massive stash of packaging.  These were bags we sold years ago.  I wish we'd bring them back.  If you don't have any look in the party section of you craft store for similar sized bags.  We used some Hershey Nuggets in the bags.  Hershey Nuggets are a crafters dream treat, they're readily available and you can wrap them so easily using DSP or even address labels.  I used some DSP from the Celebrate Everything Host DSP mega pack.

I used Stampin' Blends to color my piggy.  After they were die cut I trimmed off the confetti from the back of the scooter to add an additional greeting.  I placed my chocolates in a cute tray that finishes this project so nicely.

Speedy Recovery Tissue Slider Box-VIDEO

Today I have an adorable box to share that's perfect for friends and family feeling a little under the weather.  This one is super easy and it has a built in card so you can also include a note.  I'm sharing five different versions of this project.  I'm using all of the 2022-2024 In Colors.  I have the Sweet Sorbet in the pictures, make sure to scroll to the bottom to check out the other colors and we're making the Orchid Oasis one in my video.

I love using the In Colors for this, all the colors are made to coordinate with each other so it's easy to mix and match colors.  Or choose some of your favorites and make them.  I'm using the Speedy Recovery Set.  This is a gorgeous set!  It's has our special Dis'INK'ive technology so with one ink and one stamp you can get so much detail and shading.  The stamp is so stunning!

stampin up, speedy recovery

There's a spot for a customized note or some extra stamping, whatever you choose!  You can use a magnet or velcro dot too if you wanted to keep it closed and secure.  Inside the slider box is a travel pack of tissues.  I found mine at Costco.  It was a package of 60 of them for only about $9!  Incredible deal and it makes for a fun gift!

Thinking Of You Class

Every month I host in person classes.  They're always the second Saturday of the month.  I look forward to them every month.  I love getting to chat with my guests.  This month our class theme was thinking of you/sympathy/get well cards.  These are the cards my guests got to make.  I don't have a supply list for them, that's an exclusive perk for my class guests.  If you're in the Albuquerque NM area I'd love to welcome you to a class send me an email and let me know.

The first card is so pretty, I love the sentiments in the Lighthouse Point Bundle is so amazing!  I added some extra textures with DSP, vellum and ribbon.

The Speedy Recovery Set is a new to me set but it's also one that I can't put down.  I love how cute the images are and I love how they stamp light and dark shades all with one stamp and one ink!  Amazing!

I love the next card, I think the color combo is so pretty, Soft Sea Foam, Fresh Freesia and Black. So perfect!  By stamping the smaller flower off on scratch paper first you can get a lighter shade of Fresh Freesia without having to bring in another ink pad.  Great tip to get multi uses from your inks.

The Cup Of Tea Bundle is so perfect for this class.  I love the images and the coordinating dies make these cards come together so easily.

My final card from the class uses the Ringed With Nature Bundle.  This is a hybrid bundle and I love the amazing texture from the embossing folder and dies.  This bundle is keeper!  It's a versatile bundle that can be used year round.
