Sneak Peek Zany Zoo Gift Card Holder

We are just days away from the launch of the new Annual Catalog!  I have one more sneak peek this one again features the Zany Zoo Bundle.  I've worked with this bundle more than the others, it's so cute!  If you love it to make sure you check out my May Card Crate.  This class to go features this bundle with some of the cutest cards!  Today I'm using the racoon for a birthday card and gift card holder.  

I paired up some of the new bright colors with Pebbled Path which is one of our new In Colors.  The In Colors are a little more muted but when paired with brighter colors they're pretty amazing!  I used some Berry Burst DSP from the Brights DSP to coordinate with the Berry Burst die cut circle.  The black heat embossed greeting is a great pop of texture on this card too.  

Inside there's a pocket perfectly sized for a gift card.  To make this card you'll need a piece of cardstock that is 4 1/4" x 11" on the long side score at 1 1/4", and 6 3/4".  I used a stapler to staple the 1 1/4" pocket closed.  I hid the staples with a piece of 1 1/4" x 4 1/4" DSP from the Bright and Beautiful DSP pack.  A lot of the supplies I'm using are brand new and will be available this Tuesday, May 2nd for purchase.  All other supplies are available now.  You can shop my Online Store today.

Sneak Peek Circle Sayings Cupcake Box-VIDEO

We are quickly approaching the new catalog!  We are less than a week away from it's launch!  I have another fun sneak peek for you today.  Today I'm sharing the new Circle Sayings Bundle.  This bundle is so sweet and I think a great option for a new stamper.  It's a punch bundle and the images are classic and fun, with greetings to span a large variety of occasions.  And who doesn't LOVE a circle punch!

I'm using Berry Burst Cardstock and some Berry Burst DSP from the Brights DSP Pack.  In my video I'll showcase the Azure Afternoon Cardstock and DSP.  I stamped the cupcake image twice, once in Berry Burst Ink on Berry Burst Cardstock, the other in Early Espresso Ink on Early Espresso Cardstock.  I fussy cut both and popped them up on my punched circle. 

I added some Wink of Stella to my icing to give it some sparkle.  It's a quick thing to do but it adds such an impact.  I used small button magnets to hold my box closed.  I get mine on Amazon.  You could also use Velcro.  I finished my box with some gold thread from the Simply Elegant Trim Pack. I also added a few Iridescent Rhinestones for some sparkle!  

Inside my box is a hostess cupcake.  The Little Debbie cupcakes should also fit. They're a similar size.  A fun birthday treat for anyone!

Sneak Peek! Zany Zoo

The New In Colors And Crafting With You

I'm excited to formally introduce you to our new 2023-2025 In Colors.  I'll be honest here, I didn't love them all at first, but I'm learning to love them the more I use them and they're going to work GREAT for fall projects!  All of my card are identical and use the exact same products.  I added a Misty Moonlight ruler to all of them for an extra pop.  Misty Moonlight is a returning In Color now in our Neutrals group and I love it!  I used the Crafting With You Bundle and I couldn't be more in love with those scissors and the paper trimmer dies!!  How cute is it too that we have our own Cut and Emboss Machine stamp?!  So fun!  All the scissors are made with Silver Foil for their blades and a silver Festive Pearl for the bolt.  See more with the new In Colors here.

First up is Pebbled Path.  I really love this tone.  When paired with browns it's more brown, when paired with grays it's more gray. It's a good color.  This one might actually be my favorite of the five.  

Next up is Moody Mauve.  When I first saw this color I immediately thought of our old Rococo Rose In Color.  I used that one a bunch.  This one is more purplish I think then Rococo Rose was but it's a really pretty color.  I'm excited to use this one more.  

Boho Blue is the next one.  We had a sneak peek of Boho Blue during Sale-a-Bration.  You might remember the Mini Boho Blue Cut and Emboss Machine.  I love mine!  Boho Blue is going to coordinate beautifully with our other blues like Misty Moonlight and Night of Navy.  

We've reached Wild Wheat.  This is going to be a controversial color this year.  I think people will have strong opinions for this one.  You might really hate it.  Trust me I get it.  I was in that boat too, but the more I use it the more it grows on me.  Is it my favorite, no.  Will it be my favorite, no.  But I think there's a place for it for sure.  

Finally we have Copper Clay.  I was worried about this one because you might be aware of my dislike for Cajun Craze.  I'm happy to report that this one isn't as red a Cajun Craze.  This one will be a great go to for fall.

May 2023 Card Crate-Zany Zoo Bundle

I am happy to announce a new way to do classes with me!  Welcome to Card Crate!  The class that comes to your door and you can do your projects on your time from the comfort of your home.  

If you've done Card Crate with me in the past you'll notice two options now, there's a local one for ones that don't require shipping, that price will stay the same at $35.  If you crate needs shipped it will be $40, a small price increase.  This is to help cover shipping costs. In Color Post It Note Pads-VIDEO

Today I'm so excited to share a fun gift idea with you featuring our new 2023-2025 In Colors.  I have a post coming next week that will go into further details on all the new In Colors so make sure you check it out next week.  Today's gift idea would be perfect for teachers, coworkers or anyone who loves office supplies--that's me!  I have a slight obsession with office supply stores and their pen section.  Anyone else out there with me???

My first holder features the In Colors Moody Mauve and Pebbled Path.

These Post It Note holders also make a great addition to your crafting room and jotting down products you love, measurements, color combos, shopping lists and more! I made 5 different holders.  Each is made the same but the feature a different In Color for the base and the top layer.

This one features Boho Blue and Wild Wheat.

The mini pencils I found at Staples, they're labeled golf pencils but they're the perfect size for this.  Pencils are great too if you're creating a sketch of a card or need to modify measurements.  They come pre-sharpened and ready to go. 

This one is Copper Clay and Boho Blue.

Let's talk about the In Colors for a minute.  The five new In Colors are Pebbled Path, Copper Clay, Boho Blue, Moody Mauve and Wild Wheat.  These colors will be available for two years.  I'll be honest.  Initially they weren't my favorites but using them, I'm learning to love them, yes even Wild Wheat.  That will be the most controversial color this year.  I used the new Crafting With You Bundle on these note pads, it is adorable!  Those scissors dies---LOVE!!!!  There's also a mini Paper Trimmer die that is too cute for words!  

This one uses Wild Wheat and Moody Mauve. 

To make your own you'll need cardstock

7 3/8" x 3 1/8"

score the long side at 3 1/2", 3 7/8" and 4 1/4"

Fold accordion style then mark the inside center score line at 1" and 2 1/8" trim slits at the marks stopping at the score lines.  

Top piece 3" x 3"

Scraps for stamping/die cutting

Sneak Peek Little Monkey Pop Up Matchbox Slider Box-VIDEO

Oh my gosh!  Is today's box the cutest or what!?!  I'm loving this new Little Monkey Bundle.  It's a punch bundle so if this is on your wish list get it quick.  Punches are always quick to go.  This one is adorable!!!  I'm on the hunt for all the banana treats for this guy too.  I know there are some Little Debbie banana treats but I have yet to locate them near me.  If you have any other banana treat ideas let me know.  

This box is so much fun and I promise whoever gets it will be so excited!  The box is your typical matchbox slider box but we've stepped it up!  Stay tuned!  For added fun I added some ribbon for a fun 'pull' on the box.  You can skip this step if you want but I think it adds just enough to put this box over the top!

I'm using so many new colors on this box.  My monkey is punched with Pecan Pie, Bubble Bath and Crumb Cake Cardstocks.  My bananas are the new Lemon Lolly.  The heart is colored with Bubble Bath Stampin' Blends.  And I have some Lemon Lime Twist in there too.  I used Parakeet Party to color the leaves, I wanted them to pop off of the Lemon Lime Twist Cardstock.  

Here's the spectacular part of this box.  When you pull it out the top panel pops up!  It's all one mechanism and I'm completely amazed by it!  It took me a couple of trial and errors but I finally got it and I'm soooo excited to share it!  

Here's the side view.  We're going to cut a hole in the top of the Lemon Lolly piece and adhere everything together!  Make sure you check out the video for all the details.  If you're still unsure about it test it out with some scrap paper before you cut into your good cardstock.  

Inside my box is a mini banana nut muffin.  YUM!  I got a box of these at WalMart.  The finished box is about 3" wide, 2" tall and 2 1/2" deep so it's a great size for lots of other treats!  

Make your own box!  I've included a picture of the box trimmed up, the other pieces aren't hard to trim but the box you do a fair amount of trimming so I wanted to include that.  I used a 1/2" circle punch to add a tiny slot for my ribbon.  Check the videos for details on how this whole thing comes together.
