Country Flowers Over The Top Card

Do you ever make a card and just keep adding to it?  That's what happened with this card.  I started with the flowers and the bucket (or is it a jug?), then I added the stool.  I had the DSP, then I added the border layers.  I had the background then I added embossing and splatter.  When the card was done I added more with sequins and Linen Thread.  I couldn't stop, but I'm glad I didn't because it's a stunning card!

Lots of sneak peeks on this card.  Good news you don't have to wait much longer, the catalog goes LIVE on Wednesday!  Yay!  The Country Flowers Bundle is amazing!  Would you believe that the very first time I saw it I wasn't sure about it.  Well I've sure changed my mind!  I used new DSP, Country Lace, and a new embossing folder, Eyelet.  They come in the same suite of products so they coordinate so well together!  I added some die cut pieces to my background with the Nested Essentials Dies and Perennial Postage Dies.  These little layers make a big difference.

My coloring is all done with Stampin' Blends.  All colors are listed below in the supplies.  To get the spots of rust on my bucket I colored the entire piece with my Gray Granite Stampin' Blends.  Then I added a few spots with my Copper Clay Stampin' Blends.  Blend out the edges of the Copper Clay with the Light Gray Granite and you have some lovely rusty spots.  And if the flowers weren't enough I added sparkle with a Wink Of Stella brush. So pretty!  The whole card is finished with some sequins from the Shiny Sequins, find these in the Online Exclusive section of my Online Store.  I used some Linen Thread for another fun embellishment.  I have a fully supply list below.  You can shop for these products in my Online Store.

Heart and Hugs Bundle Shimmer Badgers

More HUGE sneak peeks today!  The new Annual Catalog launches in a matter of days!  Get ready to shop on May 1, 2023.  I absolutely love today's card.  It is soooo cute!  The colors are so perfect too!  Today I'm sharing a sneak peek of two new stamp sets, some DSP, two In Colors and an Embossing Folder.  I'm using Pretty In Pink and Petunia Pop, two new In Colors, they're gorgeous!  The new DSP is the Unbounded Beauty pack.  It's a stunner too!

stampin up, hearts and hugs

I stamped my badgers from the new Heart and Hugs Bundle in Staz On Ink on Smoky Slate Cardstock.  I used watercolor pencils to shade their bodies and blended the watercolor pencils with a Wink of Stella.  I used the white watercolor pencils to make sure the stripes on their faces were bright white.  I love the shimmer on them from the Wink of Stella Pen.  To finish things off I used Petunia Pop Stampin' Blends and colored some of the White Essentials Baker's Twine for a bow.  I love this technique, you can match colors so easily!  I used a few layers of color for nice even coverage and to make it a little darker and stand out.  I have a full supply list below.  Sneak Peek products will be available on May 1, 2024.

Teacher Appreciation Apple Treat with Autumn Leaves Stamp Set-VIDEO

With the end of the school year approaching I think it's time to break out some teacher appreciation gifts.  My kids are counting the days until school ends.  For my graduation Senior we're down to just a couple of weeks, my daughter still has about a month to go but she's counting down too.  I want to have a bunch of teacher gifts on hand ready to send to school with them.  On a recent trip to See's Candies I found these milk chocolate apples.  They're so cute! I think they have them every year, so it's a good staple to get every year.  I wanted to make an adorable treat box for it but it's so cute that I didn't want to hide it in a box so instead we're making an open box to showcase it!  My leaves and greeting are from the Autumn Leaves Stamp Set, die cut with the Autumn Leaves Dies.  Make sure you use this one year round, not just the end of the year.

I used some fun bright colors for my leaves, I tried to match the leaves on the packaging.  In the photos it doesn't look as close as it is in person.  I'm using a couple sneak peek items on this treat box.  First is Shy Shamrock Ink for the leaves.  I also used Lemon Lime Twist and for the veins Early Espresso.  The DSP is also brand new, it's the Country Woods DSP.  The sneak peek products will be available in a week on May 1, 2024.  To finish the box I used some Pecan Pie Ribbon and Tinsel Gems.

Country Flowers Bundle Sneak Peek

I have another amazing sneak peek for you today!  This one uses LOTS of new products including all the new In Color Stampin' Blends-they're gorgeous!  I'm also using the new Country Flowers Bundle. I made this card for a swap I'm in this month.  The coloring is a LOT for a swap but I was able to knock out a bunch of coloring in the waiting room while my son was having his wisdom teeth removed.  It was a good way to pass time.  I made sure to incorporate all the new In Colors in my coloring.

stampin up, country flowers

Other new products used are the Unbounded Love Dies for my scalloped oval label and the Flowers Of Beauty Dies for the die cut leaves.  I die cut them in the new Basic Beige so that they didn't distract from the pops of color from the focal image.  I also used a new embossing folder, the Eyelet Folder is so pretty and will be a great addition to sooo many projects.  Most of the products I used today are sneak peeks and won't be available for purchase until May 1.  However if you want to get your hands on them now, you can join my team this month and add them to your Starter Kit purchase.  Joining my team gives you lots of amazing perks like seeing and ordering new products-at a discount too!  What's better than that?! You can join my team here.  All supplies are listed below.

Zinnia Seed Pocket With Flowering Zinnias DSP

I have a fun treat today that your gardening friends are sure to love!  Today we're making a fun seed pocket.  I found some zinnia seeds at my local Dollar Tree so I thought they would be perfect to pair up with the Flowering Zinnias DSP.  This fun pocket is so quick to put together so feel free to make a stack of them! Think of fun other seeds and stamps or DSP you could pair up.  I'm using Mossy Meadow today, it's not a color I reach for a lot but I sure love it for this.  The bright DSP works perfectly with the dark cardstock.

stampin up, flowering zinnias

All of my images are from the Flowering Zinnias DSP, if you have the Simple Zinnias Set feel free to substitute those images.  My flower is fussy cut directly from the DSP, it's a really quick image to fussy cut.  I'm using a new stamp set for my greeting.  It's from the Thoughtful Wishes Set.  I thought the greeting was perfect, the size was perfect so it worked perfectly!  When you slide the Belly Band off there's a pocket inside perfect for a seed packet.  Pro tip-the seeds at the Dollar Tree are 4 for $1 so that's a huge cost effective fun gift!

So Long! Farewell! In Person Class

Over the weekend I held my April in person class.  This was the last class of the current Annual Catalog and Mini Catalog and this was also the last class in my current location.  I'm excited to be moving to a different location and my next class will be a new Annual Catalog Launch! So excited!  If you're local in the Albuquerque area please contact me, I'd love to have you at an in person class!  We have lots of fun!!!!

These are the five cards my guests made, I don't have a supply list or measurements for them, that's a perk only for my in person guests.

First we used the Planted Paradise Set.  I love this fun set.  There are endless possibilities to using this set.  I'm so glad it's carrying over!

stampin up

Next up, I paired up the Perennial Lavender DSP with the Translucent Florals Bundle, so very pretty!  I love the colors on this card.  Who would have known that Gorgeous Grape and Crumb Cake were so good together!

Next up, I pulled out my Playing In The Rain Stamp Set and Dies.  I was really worried this one was going to retire this year.  It's one of my favorites I'm so glad it's sticking around.  This simple card is completely adorable and any of the critters in the set would be perfect here.

While we've been swooning over the upcoming In Colors I didn't want to forget about the current In Colors that we still have a year to enjoy!  I'm using two of them for this sweet encouragement card.  We used the Layering Leaves Stamp Set.

Finally, I think this is my favorite of the bunch.  I love the diagonal angle and the stamped Flirty Flamingo Cardstock makes it look like DSP!  We used the Enduring Beauty Stamp Set for those gorgeous flowers.
