Freezin' Fun Shaker-VIDEO

I shared this adorable slider card a little while back.  I had so much making that card I made a few more movement cards featuring the Freezing Fun Bundle. This is one of the cutest bundles in the mini catalog!!!  I love it and this shaker card is so cute!! To start with a shaker card you first need a window.  I die cut my window with the Stitched Nested Labels Dies.  Our Window Sheets are strong and great for backing your window so your shaker bits stay in.  To adhere everything down I used the Foam Adhesive Sheets.  I love these!  They're easy to cut down and they lock all those shaker pieces inside!

I filled my shaker card with the Sequins For Everything, also in the Mini Catalog.  These are gorgeous sequins!!!  In addition to my sequins I also added lots of snowballs.  I think they add the cutest touch to this already super cut card.  For all the details on this card and how I made my shaker check out my video below.

Freezin' Fun Box Card-VIDEO

You guys this might just be one of the cutest cards I ever made!!!  I LOVE this card!!!  When I first started coloring this set I knew I wanted the penguin to be flying off his snowboard.  I instantly thought of a box card.  A box card is a card that will fold flat to mail but pop open like a box and easily stand for display.  It simply couldn't be cuter!!!

The penguin and his snowboard are adhered to a window sheet.  Making an invisible stand for them both.  This card is taller than 5 1/2" so I'll need to make a custom envelope for it.  If you wanted to keep this to a standard size envelope be aware of your dimensions and make sure you keep everything in them.
stampin' up, freezin fun

To make the box card you'll need a piece of cardstock that is 2 1/4" x 9".  On the long side score at 1/2", 1 1/2", 4 3/4" and 5 3/4".  You'll also need a piece for the inside, or a brace, that is 1" x 4 1/4".  On the long side score at 1/2" on each side.  For all the details on this card check out my video and enjoy!

It might be easy to overlook this set because it coordinates with the Gorgeous Posies Kit but it is a true stand alone stamp set. Check out the Gorgeous Posies Kit here.  I paired it with the In Good Taste DSP and our new In Colors.  I love that pop of Magenta Madness against that dark wood grain.  There's no dies or punches for this set so you do have to do a little fussy cutting but the flower and leaf are both easy to cut.  I finished the card with some of the gems from the Flowers For Every Season Gems.  They're gorgeous!  Check out the video below for all the details on this card.

JOY

I've said it before but I'll keep saying it.  the Peace and Joy Bundle is the best!!!  It's probably my most favorite bundle in the August-December Mini Catalog.  Even though I'm pretty sure the only sentiment I've die cut is 'Joy' any of these cards could be adapted to any of the other sentiments in the set.  This card is simple, quick and fun!!!  Think of how many different colors you could make this in too!
I used shades of blue for this one, but what about greens, pinks, yellows and gold!  I went with blue shades for this card because I wanted to use the new Blue Gems.  OMG!!  They're amazing!!!!!  I love that the dies let you layer up your greeting, for this card I stamped my greeting then layered it on vellum.  I love that soft look.  I have a full shopping list below.

Menagerie Mix Up Beaver

Sometimes a card is made and you just smile because it's so awesomely adorable!  This card was that card for me.  First....if I were to design a stamp set...maybe someday....it would for sure have some kind of whimsical, cute animal and of course puns are a must.  What makes the Menagerie Mix Up Bundle sooooo great is that you can create any fun creature you want.  It's like animal paper dolls!  YES! The greeting on this card is from the Zany Zebras Set.
For my beaver I stamped and die cut all the pieces from white cardstock then I used my Stampin' Blends to color them.  There's a million ways to create these guys.  You're only limited by your imagination.  After the pieces were all colored it was simply a matter of putting him together.  In this case only four pieces, ears, head, body and tail.  Once assembled I made a simple card, threw in some embossing and DSP and added my beaver.  SOOOOO Cute!!!  I have a million more ideas for this bundle I can't wait to share!!!  I have a full shopping list below.

Freezin' Fun Slider Card-VIDEO

I have a super cute card to share today!!!  Last week I spent a lot of time coloring the adorable images from the Freezin' Fun Set.  This week I'm making adorable cards! First up is this super cute slider card.  Slider cards are so much fun to make and not at all confusing.  Just follow the steps and you'll have lots of success!  I used the snow bank die in the bundle to make my slider track but you can use anything to make your track, including just a craft knife or paper cutter.  Just make sure your track is at least 1/4"-1/2" wide.

I used a penny to make my slider move in the video.  Be aware though that pennies add weight to your card.  If you plan on mailing it that might be an issue.  Other things you can use is a thin washer or even stacked pieces of cardstock.  For the Highland Heather card in my video I used five 1" squares adhered to each other instead of a penny.  It works too.  The penny slides better because of the weight so you choose what is best for you and your needs.  Check out the video below for all the details on how to make this cute card!!  Don't forget to like and subscribe to my channel too!  My business appreciates it!

Cup Of Thanks-VIDEO

I have a really fun card to share today!!  I shared this card yesterday in a Facebook Live on my page Ruth's Stamping Corner.  Make sure you like and follow my page so you never miss when I go live.  Though hopefully in October I'll have a more consistent schedule you can rely on.  I see my doctor next week and we'll see if she gives me the go ahead to return to normal life and normal activities....or whatever passes for normal now.  But the card is super cute!!!  I pulled in the natural textures from the In Good Taste DSP and some bold colors like Blackberry Bliss and Melon Mambo to really make this card shine!
Stampin' Up!, Press On

Speaking of shine, I used our Rainbow Glimmer Paper as the sleeve for the cup.  I love all that sparkle and shine!!!  I layered the cup on a couple of labels from the Painted Labels and Tasteful Labels Dies.  On the hearts for added sparkle and shine I covered them in our Shimmery Crystal Effects.  Check out my video for all the details on this card.  While you're at YouTube checking out my video subscribe to my channel.

Glimmer Joy

Have you given our Rainbow Glimmer Paper a try?  If not maybe this card will change your mind.  Seriously though!  It's so amazing!!!  I paired the glimmer paper with our Snowflake Splendor DSP and I think it's a match made in heaven.  The houses and snowbank are cut with the Home Together Dies using the Rainbow Glimmer Paper.  There's so much shine and sparkle on this card in person!  I also cut the 'Joy' from the Rainbow Glimmer Paper to tie it all together.  To finish the card I used my Granny Apple Green Stampin' Blends to color the trees and added lots of snowflake sequins!  So pretty!!!  I have a full shopping list below.

Menagerie Mix Up Penguin-VIDEO

I have a bonus post today!!! I went live for the first time in over a month in my VIP group to share this cute card! I'm still technically 'recovering' but I'm excited to get back into the office and start working soon! I made a few cards this week in short spurts that's all my body would allow. Slowly but surly I'll get there! I used the Menagerie Mix Up Bundle for this card. I failed to mention it in my video but I saw a penguin card made by fellow demonstrator Jamie Magrich and she inspired my penguin.

While I was at it I made a whole bunch of penguin cards.  I love this color assortment!  Make sure you watch my video for for all the details on how to make this cute card and let me know which is your favorite!  I have a full supply list below and all the links I mentioned in the video linked below as well.  I hope you enjoy and I can't wait to get back in the stamp room with your again soon!!!

Here's an amazing chart with all the little critters and creatures you can make with this set!  It's truly an all occasion year round set.  Plus all the ones that aren't on this list.  PS I can't wait to make that mouse and koala!!!

Home Together Gatefold

There are some products in the August-December Mini Catalog that I would consider absolute must have items, I've used two of them on this one card. First is the Home Together Dies. I loved these when I saw them but they didn't make it to my first preorder.  However I had to get them!  They're so cute and they're great for so much more than the holidays!  I love the little houses but there's also scenery images too, like a snow bank or trees.  So much to love.

The other must have item on this card are the Celebration Labels Dies. You guys if you get nothing else from this catalog get the dies!!!  For this fun gatefold card I used the largest die and cut it in half and adhered it to the back of the White panel.  It makes the best gatefold and a fun alternative to a 'regular' card.  But there's so much more that you can do with these dies!  Make sure you add them to your wishlist.  I have a full shopping list below.
