Good Feelings Box-VIDEO

I'm super excited about this project.  It's a fun box with a non-food treat inside!  I get asked all the time for non-food items this box is so cute and perfect for my treat!  We'll get to that in a second.  This is a great box for your summer parties or if you're hosting a Fourth of July Party this would be perfect!  But you could also modify the colors and make them for birthday party favors or any party!

I used the Good Feelings Set for my greetings.  This set has great greetings and they're beautiful enough to be the focal point of any project.  For a little more added interest in my box I added lots of die cut stars from the Give It A Whirl Dies and I added some starts to my card base with a Blending Brush and a mask that I created by tearing up one of our Star Treat Bags coming in the new July-December Mini Catalog.  These bags are so cute, I knew I wanted that star pattern, so I had to sacrifice a treat bag.  But they're durable enough that I'll be able to use that mask over and over again!

In addition to the ink blended stars I also splattered some white ink and some Wink Of Stella all over my box base.  The white ink dries pretty opaque making it a nice subtle background but there's soooo much sparkle from the Wink Of Stella that it makes this box really stand out.

Hippest Hippos On Point Slimline Card

I have the cutest card to share with you today!  I'm pulling out my Hippest Hippos Sale-a-Bration Set again.  I hope you're not already tired of seeing them because I have so many fun ideas for these hippos!  Today's card is a slimline card.  So my card base is 8 1/2" x 7" on the 7" side I scored it at 3 1/2".  This makes are great size to work with and they fit perfectly in our Slimline Envelopes.  The Soft Suede layer is 3 1/4" x 8 1/4", the Basic white is 3" x 8".

stampin up, hippest hippos

My background is done with Blending Brushes.  For the stage I put a long piece of Post It Tape about 3/4" from the bottom and added some Soft Suede with my Blending Brush.  Then I taped off the stage and added more Post It Tape to create a spotlight.  I used Daffodil Delight and a Blending Brush to add the spotlight.

stampin up, hippest hippos

My hippos are colored with Stampin' Blends.  For the hippos themselves I used Gray Granite, Balmy Blue, Smoky Slate and Pool Party.  Their tummies and noses are done with the Stampin' Blends Light Combo and Smoky Slate for the Balmy Blue Hippo.  Their tutu's are colored with Polished Pink, Fresh Freesia, Sweet Sorbet and Tahitian Tide.  I went over all their tutu's and shoes with a Wink Of Stella Pen because if you can't add sparkle to a ballerina who can you add it for!?!

stampin up, hippest hippos

Now I'd already stepped this card up but I wanted to step it up a little more and add fancy curtains.  To give them velvety look I used a piece of Sweet Sorbet that was about 2 3/4" x 2 3/4".  I crumpled, scrunched and used my bone folder to break down every fiber in that cardstock.  This is an extra step that takes a few minutes but it's totally worth it!  I started with my bone folder, in all directions.  Once the paper is nice and curled I crumpled it in my hand, opened it back up, carefully so you don't rip it, and keep doing that until the edges of the paper start to separate into two pieces.  Once it starts to separate you can carefully pull them apart.  The inside of the cardstock is this beautiful faux suede, velvety texture.  The more you crumple and break those fibers the easier it will separate.  If it's not coming apart keep going!  When it starts to separate pull them apart slowly, if they're not coming apart in the middle put the paper back together and keep breaking the fibers.  Once I had my two sides I put adhesive only on the top and pleated them on my card.  Any excess was trimmed off.

I have a full supply list below.  You can shop for these products in my Online Store.  The Hippest Hippos Set and Hippo Dies will be available on July 1!

Best Butterflies Fun Fold

The Best Butterflies Bundle was one of the bundles I was most excited for in the Annual Catalog.  It has not disappointed!  I have played with it so much recently and every card I make I love even more than the last!  I'll be featuring this bundle in my July Card Crate-details will be out on Tuesday (or sooner...maybe!).  If you love these fun butterflies make sure you check out July's Card Crate Class To Go so you can make a stack of cards too!  I love how unique they are and every butterfly is different you can build them however you choose with any colors you choose!  Today's card I kept my butterfly simple.  I love this fun fold birthday card!

stampin up, best butterflies, amazing phrasing

The greeting on this card is from a new Sale-a-Bration set called Amazing Phrasing.  Next to the hippos set and dies this set is my favorite!  I love the font and all the fun greetings!  You'll see me using this one a lot in the next couple of months.  Also on this card I'm sneak peeking some new sequins!  These come from the upcoming July-December Mini Catalog.

The DSP on this card is from the Awash With Beauty DSP, I love the fun subtle patterns in it along with the bold flower designs.  To make my this fun fold card you'll need a piece of cardstock, I used So Saffron that is 4 1/4" x 8 1/2" on the long side score at 1 1/2" from each end.  Measure in 3/4" from each side on the short side (top and bottom and trim the tab at an angle from the 3/4" mark to the score line.  The cardstock on the front, Granny Apple Green, is 3" x 4 1/4".  This fun fold I learned from a class I took by fellow demonstrator Chelsey.  I have a full supply list below, you can shop for these products in my Online Store.

Hippest Hippos Sneak Peek-Water Bottle Tag-VIDEO

Today I have so much cuteness in store for you!  Not only are you getting a fun sneak peek at some new Sale-a-Bration items coming soon but this is the perfect project for all your summer events!  A beach party, pool party, family reunion, water park or zoo day this project is perfect for all of them!  The Sale-a-Bration product I'm sharing today are the Hippest Hippos Stamp Set and the Hippo Dies.  You can earn each of these items with a $50 order during Sale-a-Bration which runs July 1-August 31.  These have been my favorite items to play with so far!  They are so much fun!

stampin up, hippest hippos, hippo dies

This water bottle tag is easy to make, which is good because you'll want to make a stack of them!  I made it with a pocket for a lemonade packet.  I found these lemonade mixes at Target.  If you can't find this brand I know that there's lots of brands that make them and I think they're all similar sized.  You can probably fit two in the pocket if you wanted.  Check out that cutie hippo and all those accessorizing dies!  There's a boat, umbrella, glasses a wave and so so so much more in the die set!  I added a greeting on a banner from the Stylish Shapes dies.

stampin up, hippest hippos, hippo dies

I have one more sneak peek item on this project, I added a bow with our new Threaded Twine.  This will be in the July-December Holiday Catalog.  It's got some silver threads intertwined in it.  It's really fun!  I wrapped my water bottle with a piece of DSP that is 9" x 1 1/2".  I used DSP from the Awash With Beauty pack.

To make the tag you'll need a piece of cardstock.  I'm using Balmy Blue

3" x 10"
On the short side score at 1/2" on each side.
On the long side score at 2" and 7"

I used a retired 1 1/4" circle punch for the hole in my tag and for the sun, it was already out!  You can easily substitute any circle die of similar size.  Such a fun treat!

I have a full supply list below.  Sneak peek items will be available on July 1, all other items can be purchased now.  Make sure you check out the video for all the details.  Subscribe to my YouTube Channel so you never miss a video.

Elephant Parade Fun Fold Twist

While I was researching different fun folds for my class earlier this month I came across one that I was so intrigued by, I had to make it.  I love it!  It's unique and different and one of my new favorite fun folds.  If you want to see how this card is made in a vide leave me a comment or message me so I know to plan one.

stampin up, elephant parade

The front is just as cute as can be with the sweet little elephant from the Elephant Parade Bundle.  I colored him with Flirty Flamingo and Gray Granite Blends.  The peanuts were colored with Crumb Cake and the leaves with both Granny Apple Green and Parakeet Party.  I added some shadows under him with Smoky Slate.

stampin up, elephant parade

The front is so cute when you open it the front twists up and rotates so what was a landscape card is now a portrait card.  I can't get enough of this card.  It's like a magic trick!  I found the directions for this card by Marisa.

I don't normally decorate the inside of my cards.  It's a huge fault of mine.  I'm trying to get better.  But when the outside is as adorable as this one is, you HAVE to decorate the inside too!  I have a full supply list below.  You can shop for these products in my Online Store.

Elephant Parade Happy Day

I have another card featuring the adorable Elephant Parade Bundle.  This would make a great card for a baby shower or baby/child birthday.  It's cute with some fun pastel colors and the little elephant just holding the balloons is too cute!  Customize this card with colors for whomever you're giving it too.

stampin up, elephant parade

I used Gray Granite and Flirty Flamingo to color my elephant.  I added the pink to the ears and the cheeks with Light Flirty Flamingo and went over it with Light Gray Granite.  This tones down the pink a little but you still get that pretty pink shade.  I have a full supply list below.  You can shop for these products in my Online Store.

Cherry Builder Punch Jam Caddy-VIDEO

I'm back today with an adorable cherry treat!  I absolutely love this cherry punch and with so many cherry treats you could create for days with it!  I also shared this tote bag last week that I made with the Sweetest Cherries Bundle.  Today I'm only using the punch but you can use the stamps as well.  If you love cherries the bundle is a must have.

stampin up, cherry builder punch

Today I'm sharing a caddy box.  I designed this to hold two mini jars of cherry jam.  There's a handle in the middle to carry like a caddy.  It's not too heavy but I would definitely use cardstock to build the box not DSP.  Each side will hold one jar.  This gift isn't cheap.  I found these little jars on Amazon and bought them specifically to make this.  If you make your own cherry jam or have another supplier this might be more cost effective.  Otherwise I think this would make a really cute gift for someone really special.  Maybe if you're traveling and visiting friends/family this would be a cute hostess gift.  Camp counselor, teacher or just your super special cherry loving friend!

stampin up, cherry builder punch

My stamping is minimal on this box, but you can always stamp the cherries.  My only stamping is the greeting.  I used the Simply Fabulous Set.  I just LOVE the greetings in that set!  You get a good variety too.  My cherries are punched with Poppy Parade, Parakeet Party and Crumb Cake Cardstock.  I added extra dimension on my cherries by inking them with a Blending Brush and some Poppy Parade Ink.  I added a little shine to them with a Blender Pen and some White Ink.

stampin up, cherry builder punch

Let's talk about the box.  For this box I highly encourage you to check out the video.  You can make this box with two 6" x 4" pieces or one 12" x 4" piece.  I'm making it with two pieces because I didn't have any 12" x 12" Poppy Parade on hand.  In the video I'll share how to do it with the 12" x 4" piece.  The steps are similar, you're just not going to adhere the two boxes together.  Both measurements are below if you want to create the larger one.  If you only wanted to give one jar of jam as a gift you can just create one of the 6" x 4" boxes.

stampin up, cherry builder punch

Below I've shared a picture of how to cut the two 6" x 4" pieces and where to apply your Tear and Tape.  If you were making the 12" x 4" version yours would look the same but instead of being separated in the middle there would be a score line.  Remember to check the video for all the details.

6" x 4" two pieces
On the short side score at 1" on each side
On the long side score at 1", 3"
Also on the long side mark at 4" stopping at the horizontal score line.  Flip cardstock and repeat for the other side stopping at the horizontal line.

12" x 4" one piece
On the short side score at 1" on each side
On the long side score at 1", 3", 6", 9" and 11"
Also on the long side mark at 4" and 8" stopping at the horizontal score line.  Flip cardstock and repeat for the other side stopping at the horizontal line.

Jar holder insert (same for both designs) two pieces
1 15/16" x 4"
On the long side score at 1" and 3"

Check my video for all the details.  Make sure to subscribe to my YouTube Channel so you never miss a video.  I have a full supply list below, you can shop for these products in my Online Store.
