It Smells Good....

...Well isn't that an intriguing title :)  I have a quick post today, I wanted to show you what I demoed at our demonstrator meeting last night, and I couldn't be more in love with this little project if I tried :)

I saw some little potpourri pouches floating around blogs and I just HAD to make them!!!  I used the Springtime Vintage Fabric from the mini catalog (don't you just love the fabric?)  I used my large scallop square die and cut out 2 squares.  Then you sew around but leave an opening to drop in some potpourri, I used a lavender mixture---ahhh!  Sew the rest up and you're technically done.  IF you want to jazz it up a little the flower is super duper easy to make!!
For the flower I used my Circles #2 die, the 2 largest circles.  I cut 6 circles out, 1 of each of the 3 fabrics in 2 sizes.  Then I just layered the circles on top of each other, no sewing, no gluing just layering.  As I grabbed the next flower to lay on top I grabbed it by the center and scrunched it, or folded it a little.  Once I had all 6 layers down and stuck a brad through the center to hold it all together and your done!  I stuck some seam binding on it too.  Use a glue gun to attach your flower and you have the most perfect little gift!  Isn't is just so cute!
I just love it!

I should have the meeting highlights up on Monday.  I have 2 workshops this weekend that I'm just super excited for.  It's gonna be a jam packed Stampin' weekend for me-hope it is for you too!!!

Thanks for looking, see you soon!!!

Hi Ruth, I don't usually sew, but this looks quick and easy. What a great little gift for Mother's Day or that little girl who just LOVES to be in her mommy's drawer!
