Tutorial Tuesday-Apple Stamping

Before we get to the tutorial I have a little business to take card of. Tina Smith won the May Customer Appreciation stamp set! YEAH Tina!!! She'll get the Note of Thanks Mini Note Kit. Ok now I have a little more business, I know that some of you who subscribe to by blog via Feedblitz have been having trouble getting the posts, so I've set up another subscription option for you. They're pretty new, I haven't had a chance to try them out. I think they should work a little better though. Please let me know if you have problems with it though. If you want to subscribe to my blog you can my clicking any of the options on the right hand side. I choose not to cancel my Feedblitz subscription at this time since I still have quite a few subscribers who aren't having issues.

Have you had a chance to look at the retiring stamp sets yet. I am so upset they're getting rid of Morning Soft and A Little Birdie Told Me. I don't know if I can part with Morning Soft! I'll have to see what the new catalog holds. Fortunately mine should be on it's way to me soon!!!!!! AHHHH I can hardly wait!!! I have seen the new In Colors though, they're pretty nice!! They're still time to book your workshop for July when the new catalog is released.

OK, it's Tutorial Tuesday time again. I got my July/August Issue of Paper Crafts magazine over the weekend and they had a cute technique that you stamped with apples. So I decided to try it and do it for my tutorial this week. I'm really pleased with it. What other fruit I stamp with?? Maybe veggies too? Hmmmm, something to think about. When I went to do this technique I got a couple of eyerolls and humorous comments from my husband. Such as "Oh great she's stamping with food now"

For this technique, you'll need half an apple, some classic reinker, and a foam brush.

Pour some reinker onto an old stamp set case or in this case the lid to a plastic container. I'm using Green Galore.

Use your foam brush to cover the cut side of the apple.

Use it just like a stamp and stamp it on your cardstock. Press firmly. The harder your press the better your impression.

How cool!

Finish stamping with the apple.

And finish your card. Isn't it just so cool!

Thanks for looking, see you tomorrow!
