Kristina's Color Challenge

So remember from this post a long time ago, I think it was actually sometime in January, but it feels like it's been much longer. Anyway, I had high hopes of entering Kristina's Color Challenge for the first time, but forgot and was like 12 hours too late--AHHH. So this time I made sure I got my challenge done in time. Oh by the way here's the link to Kristina's great blog if you want to check it out.
So here's a funny story of how this card came to be. I have a 2 year old and if we're having a particularly rough day then we take a time out at 10 AM, he watches Sesame Street, (or the Elmo show as it's known in our house) and I stamp or check email or whatever. Here's the deal though, Sesame Street is and hour, Elmo's World plays about 20 minutes before the show is done. So when I hear the theme to Elmo's World I know to start wrapping up what I'm doing. So I'm busily working, not on the card by the way, knowing I need to start the card though. And boom that's when it starts--DA DA DA DAA, DA DA DA DAA Elmo's World! What!!! How can I only have 20 minutes left, how did that happen, YIKES!!! So I grab the proper colored cardstock, ink and reach into my stamp cabinet and grab what I thought was my Tart and Tangy stamp set-nope it was Short and Sweet, Tart and Tangy was under that. So I said, whatever I'll use both sets. So I start rapidly stamping, rocking and rolling my citrus stamp, not sure if it's a lemon or orange on my card, but it's a citrus. So stamp, stamp, stamp, cut, cut, cut, glue, glue, glue-done! Whew. With like 2 minutes to spare even. Take a quick picture, crystal effects still wet--oh well, dumb clouds-get out of the way-UGGG!! Hate to use the flash-distorts colors. So the pictures not great but it's a cute card and literally came together in minutes. Whew! Ok so here it is:

I know it looks Ballet Blueish in the picture, but really it is Taken with Teal. Look at how cool the embossing is on the card! LOVE IT. Thanks Kim for letting me borrow your textured plates!
