SNEAK PEEK Taco Fiesta Chile Ristra

I have another fun sneak peek for you!  I'll have LOTS and LOTS more sneak peeks coming later this month but I LOVED this card so much I had to share it immediately.  This is probably the most New Mexican card ever.  If you're from New Mexico, like me, you'll probably know what this is instantly.  If you're not from New Mexico this card might not look familiar to you.  Red chile ristras are the strung pods of dried red chiles that you see displayed near arches, doors and windows all over New Mexico. Serving as a symbol of welcome, ristras are an iconic decoration in New Mexico, especially during the harvest months and holidays*.  Read more about ristras here

To make sure my chiles went in both directions I used my Stamparatus to do the mirror technique and get stamped chiles facing in both directions.  I think I ended up stamping 13 or 14 chiles total, about half one way, half the other.  If you want to know more about the reverse stamping technique I shared it here in my Santa Trains Boxes.

They're all colored with Poppy Parade Stampin' Blends and fussy cut out.  I fussy cut directly on the stamped line, I didn't want any white outlines.  To give them an even more defined line I used my Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker (NOT Stampin' Blends), and I used the side of the brush tip and carefully colored the sides of my fussy cut images.  Is this step a little extra, yes.  But it gives each image a gorgeous finished edge and when you're layering them up, details count.  I stamped a greeting also from another sneak peek set, this one is a Sale-a-Bration set.  I splattered the entire card with some Wink Of Stella for extra sparkle.

Here's a picture of some real chile ristras if you're curious about them.  If you want to learn more, google them.  You can find small ones, large ones.  They're beautiful and a fun New Mexico tradition.  I have a full supply list below.  You can shop for these products in my Online Store.

Sneak Peek! Adorable Owls Penny Spinner Card-VIDEO

I'm sooo excited to share this card with you today!  I'm making a penny spinner card!  This fun style has been around a while and I always love to bring it out when we have some fun critters to play with.  I'm sharing a sneak peek today of three upcoming products!  The Adorable Owls is a Sale-a-Bration Set you can earn free starting January 5, 2023.  It is soooo adorable!

I'm also sharing a sneak peek of the Enjoy The Journey DSP and the Three Twine Combo Pack.  The colors are amazing!  I love the bold brightness of Melon Mambo and Pumpkin Pie together.  I colored my owl with Stampin' Blends, colors listed in the supplies.

The fun part of a penny slider card is that the image will flip and spin back and forth across the card in the channel.  There is a penny added on the back for some extra weight to 'pull' it back and forth.  Because of the penny and the extra weight and bulky-ness of the card you will probably need some extra postage if you're mailing this.

Here's the measurements:
Melon Mambo-5 1/2" x 8 1/2" score at 4 1/4", 5 1/4" x 4"
DSP-5 1/4" x 1 1/2"
Basic White and Pumpkin Pie-scraps

Magic In the Air

I have a quick and fun card to share today!  I love this color combo and this might actually be my favorite Christmas color combo!  I love Coastal Cabana and Polished Pink together!  So pretty!  I die cut lots of the snowflakes from the Celebrations Tags dies and adhered them with a glue dot in the center of the snowflake to my Coastal Cabana piece.  I trimmed off all the excess pieces on the edges and added it so a simple white card base.

I white heat embossed my greeting and trimmed it out.  For extra sparkle all over the card I added rhinestones to every snowflake.  This might be a little extra but I think it's so pretty!  I have a full supply list below.  You can shop for these products in my Online Store.

Twelve Weeks of Christmas Week 10-Santa Card and Candy Slider

Hello!  I can't believe we're on week 10! Only 2 weeks left!  Today I'm sharing a really cute card and candy slider.  This is a fun gift I would give to coworkers or teachers.  This gives me the freedom to write a message or add a gift card inside.  I think it's fun and unique!

stampin up, christmas season

I'm using the Christmas Season Set and Christmas To Remember Set for my stamping.  Both are in the Annual Catalog.  I have all my colors listed in my supplies or check out the video.  The Christmas Season Set is one of my holiday favorites.  The watercolor images are gorgeous and classic, you'll never get tired of them!

The Santa was inspired by some cards I saw on the Stampin' Up! Leaders Facebook Page by fellow demo Lisa Ann Bernard.  I thought the design was so cute and simple.  This would be an easy card to make a bunch of.  The beard is made from the Layering Diorama Dies and the belt and buckle are just some scraps of Basic Black and Gold Foil.  Use some Black Matte Dots for the buttons and you're done!

stampin up, christmas season

The card will open, there's plenty of room for a message, hand written or stamped.  Or if you're feeling extra generous add a gift card.  The width of the card is just over the size of a gift card so I would use a couple of glue dots and attach it inside.

Inside my box is an Andes Snap Bar.  My husband has been eyeing these on my desk!  I used a little adhesive on the back of my candy to keep in place.  It is a good fit but you don't want them to fall out.

Real Red 8 1/2" x 6 1/2"

Framed Florets Birthday

Today's card is a stunner!  Photos cannot capture how pretty this card is.  I'm using the new Framed Florets Bundle and the Fitting Florets DSP.  Remember the DSP is only available while supplies last! Don't miss out on this DSP!  The bundle will carry into the next Mini Catalog.  I stamped and colored my flowers with Stampin' Blends. For my pink flowers I used Polished Pink with some Petal Pink Dark on the tips of the petals.  For my blue flower I used Balmy Blue with Night of Navy Light in the center.  Don't be afraid to mix up your Stampin' Blends colors, this will open up a new range of colors for your Stampin' Blends.

stampin up, framed Florets

I heat embossed my greeting in white embossing on the Rose Gold metallic oval.  When stamping onto metallic paper make sure you don't move the stamp at all.  The paper is slick so it's easy to move it.  If you're worried about smearing the image use your Stamparatus for perfect placement and stamping.  The card is finished with some Glossy Dots for shine and sparkle!  I have a full supply list below.  You can shop for these products in my Online Store.

Sweetest Cherries Hershey Kiss Box-VIDEO

I'm excited to share today's project with you!  I'm making the cutest box for Hershey Kisses!  My box is not Christmas themed but switch up the stamp sets and you easily have a cute Christmas box!  I'm using the Sweetest Cherries Bundle because my Hershey Kisses are cherry!  These are yummy!  I'm not typically a fan of their flavored ones but I do like these and look for them every Christmas season!

stampin up, sweetest cherries

I used Merry Merlot to stamp my cherries and I punched them out with the coordinating punch.  The leaves are stamped on Granny Apple Green Cardstock with Granny Apple Green Ink and Garden Green Ink for the detail.  Again punch those out with the coordinating punch.  The stems were punched with Early Espresso Cardstock.  I used a greeting from the new Warm Welcome Set.  This set was featured for Stampin' Up! World Card Making Day Event in October.  It's a fun bundle that will be in the next mini catalog.

stampin up, sweetest cherries

I used the Gingham Cottage DSP on the box and for the belly band.  This DSP is amazing and it's retiring!  Starting December 1 it will be 40% off discounted to $18.00 (used to be $30!!).  Get it while you can! My box is cut from Black Cardstock.  I used the 12" x 12" cardstock in the Holiday Mini because I could cut 4 per sheet of the 12" x 12" opposed to only 2 per sheet of 8 1/2" x 11".  The 12" x 12" Black Cardstock is retiring too.  Don't wait to get it!

The box is 5 1/2" x 5"
On the long side score at 1 1/4" each side
On the short side score at 1/2", 1 1/2", 2 3/4" and 3 3/4"

Black Gingham DSP
2 7/8" x 1 1/8" two pieces
7/8" x 1 1/8" two pieces
7/8" x 2 7/8"

So Saffron Gingham DSP
5 1/4" x 1 1/2"

Check out my video for tips on trimming up your box.  While you're there subscribe to my YouTube Channel so you never miss a video.  I have a full supply list below. You can shop for these products in my Online Store.  The Last Chance Sale starts December 1, both the Gingham Cottage DSP (40% off!) and Black 12" x 12" Cardstock are on that list.

From Our Home Card

Today I have a beautiful card that I cased from myself and is quick enough to mass produce for Christmas cards.  I'm using the Framed and Festive Set, this set is only available while supplies last so don't wait to get yours!  The greetings are amazing and the font is so pretty!  I'm casing myself for this one.  In my last Card Crate I made a belly band for the box that was similar to this.  I loved the design so much that I wanted to make it a card.  I used the Framed Florets Dies along with the set to step up my card.

stampin up, framed and festive

The greeting is stamped and die cut onto a circle from the Stylish Shapes Dies.  My leaves are die cut from Brushed Metallic Cardstock and Vellum Cardstock.  I love using vellum for accents like this.  I finished my card with a Linen Thread bow.  I have a full supply list below.  You can shop for these products in my Online Store.
