Today's Sale-a-Bration Sunday is one of my favorite sets! We're using the Amazing Phrasing Set. I love a good word set and I especially love a good word set with different fonts and sets that you can build and customize greetings. With these type of word sets there are endless possibilities for what you can say on/in your card. They're my favorite type of word sets so when I saw this one in the Sale-a-Bration Catalog I was so excited!
This set can be earned free during Sale-a-Bration with a $100 qualifying order. Because this is a word only set there are no images in the set. Can you make a set with only words-ABSOLUTELY! Can you pair it with other sets and images-ABSOLUTELY! Today I'm pairing up the Amazing Phrasing Set with the Hand Penned Petals Set. This is one of my favorite floral sets.
I have a super fun fancy fold for you today. This one is easy to make and can easily be used with so many different stamp sets! I received a card with a similar fun fold years and years ago from a swap at a Stampin' Up! event. It's always been one of my favorite fun folds and I've copied it over and over again throughout the years.
This fun fold is easy to modify to fit your stamps too, my measurements are below but you can modify them if you have larger/smaller stamps. I started with the card base from the Tea Boutique Cards and Envelopes. If you start with a pre-done card base simply trim off 1 1/4" from the front and back of the card base. If you're just using cardstock you'll start with a card base that is 6" x 5 1/2". Either will work.
Card Base 6" x 5 1/2" score long side at 3"
Top Card 3" x 8 1/2" score long side at 4 1/4"
Cardstock layers
Outside 4" x 2 3/4"
Inside 3" x 2 1/2"
Basic White layers
Outside 3 3/4" x 2 1/2"
Inside 2 3/4" x 2 1/4"
For my block letter greetings I fussy cut them out. If you don't like fussy cutting that's ok! Modify your card design so you can stamp it directly onto your white piece. I love fussy cutting the letters because you can fussy cut individual letters and spell all new words, further expanding the value of the set. I love doing this! Check out my 'yay' below. I stamped the 'hey' greeting twice for two y's and the 'amazing' greeting for one of the a's.
You can easily see with a change up of a few of the greetings the same card can be modified from an encouragement card to a birthday card! I have all the details in my video plus a third version of this card not pictured on my blog. Make sure you subscribe to my YouTube Channel so you never miss a video. I have a full supply list below, you can shop for these products in my Online Store.
