Abstract Beauty Team Challenge

This month I gave a team a challenge.  I mailed everyone on my team a Magenta Madness card base and a four sheets of the Abstract Beauty DSP.  They had to make a card with it using at least one piece of DSP from their kit  They could do anything with their DSP, one winner was chosen randomly and they won a free stamp set!  I love giving my team these challenges because I love their work!  I love seeing so many different ways to use the same supplies!  It's always a good time to join my team, especially now with the preorder and launch of the new catalog just around the corner.  Joining is easy, it's $99 and YOU choose $125 in product (PS in April you can add items from the NEW catalog!).  You get FREE shipping, a FREE Paper Pumpkin and all the demo perks! Join here!

Cindi B's card.  I love that daisy!!  I love all the layers!
She didn't forget the inside of the card either!

Tena's card.  You guys know I'm a fan of fussy cutting!  I love how she used the DSP for the dress!

Alicia's card.  This card is so pretty!  all love all the stitched details in her layers.  Gotta love to Stitched Rectangles!

Juanita's card.  She used some of my favorite products.  Amazing Thanks Dies, Beautiful Shapes Dies and the Brass Butterflies.  You can't go wrong with those products!

Cindy D's card.  I love the pop of glitter with that butterfly, it goes so well with the gold in the DSP.

Michelle's card.  I love that she used so many pieces of DSP for this card.  Michelle is a huge fan of DSP and I always loves seeing how she uses it so creatively.

Dana's card.  I love the pocket in front and all the butterflies.  She always goes over the top!  Plus don't forget the gorgeous inside!

Mellisa's card.  I know this was a challenge for Mellisa, Magenta Madness is not her color but I love how she incorporated so many amazing details!  So pretty!

What's Cookin' Brownie Box-VIDEO

Today's box is super cute!!!  It's one of my favorites!  But before we get to the box, some of the supplies I'm using today are on the Retired List and they're discounted so if you want them grab them now!  Don't wait.  More and more items sell out everyday and when they're gone they're gone. The What's Cookin' Bundle, the Detailed Trio Punch and the Tasteful Labels Dies are all retiring.  If you love them, get them now.

This box reminds me of an old metal lunch box.  I love the Poppy Parade color and how it's all tied closed with the Black and White Gingham Ribbon.  LOVE!  The What's Cookin' Bundle has been one of my favorites, I'm so sad to see it go.  I love the Distinktive stamping, where you get light and dark shades of color with one stamp and one ink pad.  So amazing!  The dies are incredible too!  Where else can you find the smallest cutest whisk and cutting board!  I'm going to miss it!

stampin up, what's cookin

I love the side of this box.  There are side flaps that tuck into the box and then the lid sits snuggly on the side flaps when you tie it with a ribbon.  It's soooo cute!!!  Inside my box is an Entenmann's Brownie.  I found these at my local Wal Mart so I'm sure they're everywhere.

To make the box you'll need Poppy Parade Cardstock

On the long side score at 1 1/2", 2 1/2", 4", 6", 7 1/2" and 8 1/2"

Celebrate Sunflowers

I just love today's card. It's simple but so gorgeous!  The bundle I'm using is the Celebrate Sunflowers Bundle. This bundle is on sale this month.  Save 20%!  I love the details in these dies.  For this card I only used the detail die, there is also a solid die that you can cut for behind the sunflower too.  I used some retiring In Colors.  This blog post should go up after the retired list posts so I'm not sure if they'll still be available.  If not you could substitute Crushed Curry for the Bumblebee and Soft Suede for the Cinnamon Cider and it would still be a gorgeous card!

The background is ink blended with some Soft Sea Foam Ink and one of our masks from the Butterflies and Flowers Mask in the Mini Catalog.  I also splattered some Stampin' Blends to give a little extra texture.  I finished the card with a greeting stamped in Early Espresso and a Gold Gilded Gem.  So pretty!  I have a full supply list below.  You can shop for these products in my Online Store.

Pansy Patch Treat Box-VIDEO

Today's treat box is so simple, so quick and so fun!  You'll love this one!  I've made this type of box for years.  I think it was one of the first boxes I've made, over the last few weeks I've seen them making a comeback.  I think it's because they're so quick and easy to make.  I'm also featuring the Pansy Petals Bundle which is on sale this month!  Save 20% when you purchase it this month!

stampin up, pansy petals

What makes this box so fun is there's no cutting and you only score one side.  Then the box just folds up and you slide your treats inside.  I added some ribbon around mine, not because my treats were falling out but because I wanted that fun pop of white from the ribbon.  Inside my box are two Hershey bunnies.

Amazing Ladybug

I LOVE this card so much!! I'm using one of my favorite bundle in the Mini Catalog, the Hello Ladybug Bundle is so much fun!  I keep pulling it out to create with it!  I'm crossing my fingers this one is carrying over!  Instead of the traditional red and black for my ladybug I went with Fresh Freesia and Gorgeous Grape.  I love that fun twist!

stampin up, hello ladybug

My card also features the Amazing Thanks Dies from the Mini Catalog.  These dies are truly amazing and I haven't used them nearly enough!  They're some of my favorites and I need to pull them out more!  To make my words stand out even more I used my Stampin' Blends and gave them an ombre look.  I really love the gradient look to them!

stampin up, hello ladybug

I love the pop of green from the leaf, I used Granny Apple Green and stamped on Soft Sea Foam Cardstock.  Of course it had to be fussy cut!  My card is finished with some In Color Gems and Simply Elegant trim in silver.  I have a full supply list below, you can shop for these products in my Online Store.

All Squared Away And Blending Brush Techniques-VIDEO

Today I'm excited to share four fun cards with you PLUS I have a FUN announcement at the end! Read all the way to bottom!  These cards were first shared and featured with my team a few weeks ago.  As members of my team you get special perks I do a series called Spotlight Sunday where I spotlight a product and share at least three ways to use that product.  It's always a great time to join my team, join here!  When I featured these cards I was featuring our amazing Blending Brushes.  We all know how great the brushes are for blending onto cardstock and making beautiful backgrounds but did you know you can also use them on our stamps too!

stampin up, all squared away, blending brushes

On each of the cards you'll notice the background behind the flowers is two different colors.  I did that by inking the stamp with my lighter shade then using my Blending Brush and adding a darker shade on half of it.  I LOVE that ombre gradient look you get.  For my Daffodil Delight card I used Daffodil Delight and Pumpkin Pie.  My flowers are inked in Melon Mambo.

stampin up, all squared away, blending brushes

I love the simplicity of the cards.  Each of the cards features a flower(s) that is lightly inked with the Blending Brushes too.  For the smaller flowers it can get a little tricky to ink them, check out my video I have a fun inking technique to share that will keep your hands ink free!  For my Flirty Flamingo card I used Flirty Flamingo, Melon Mambo and Daffodil Delight for the flower.  For my Balmy Blue card I used Balmy Blue, Night of Navy and Rich Razzleberry for the flowers.

All the cards have the same measurements:
Card base 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" scored at 4 1/4"
Basic White 5" x 3 3/4", 1 3/4" x 1 3/4", 3/8" x 1 3/4" and scraps for die cutting
Cardstock layer 2 1/8" x 2 1/8"

This bundle, as well as the Mini Cut and Emboss Machine is 20% off this month!  I love the All Squared Away Bundle and the 20% off deal is an AMAZING deal! Of course you know how much I also LOVE LOVE LOVE my Mini Cut and Emboss Machine and this month only you can get your own for only $48! It's an incredible savings!!!  Don't miss this sale!

Peek-a-Boo Llama

I have another card today featuring lots of left over pieces from my parts and pieces bowl on my desk.  If you've never heard me mention my parts and pieces bowl, it's just a small bowl that I keep on my desk and if I stamp/die cut/punch something that I don't end up using on a card it goes in my bowl.  Occasionally I'll go through it and pull out pieces from it and create with them.  This cute llama has been in there for a while.  I also pulled the clouds and the label die cut from the bowl too.

stampin up, peek a boo farm

The beauty of crafting from my parts and pieces bowl is that these cards are often pulled together quickly.  The llama image was already colored and fussy cut.  All I had to do was stick it on a card.  So quick and easy!  Don't throw away pieces you don't end up using, save them for rainy days when you need a quick card.  I have a full supply list below.  You can shop for these products in my Online Store.

Friends Of The Forest

The Friends Of The Forest Set was one of the first sets I got from the Mini Catalog but it's one that I haven't pulled out to play with.  It's so cute!  This card is quick but soooo cute!  This card would also be adorable in a variety of colors.

stampin up, friends of the forest

I kept my layout very simple so it's easy to make a stack of them.  I stamped and fussy cut my bunny and my greeting.  The greeting is a little finicky so you could skip that part and just stamp it on a banner and adhere it on.  I added some Iridescent Rhinestones for some sparkle.  Instead of cardstock to layer my Basic White square on, I used some DSP from the Flowering Fields DSP.  This is a fun option when you want to change it up a little.

stampin up, flowering fields

I kept the coloring on my bunny very simple, just some Petal Pink in his ears and a little Smoky Slate blended out with the Color Lifter for shadows.  I have a full supply list below.  You can shop for these products in my Online Store.
