Las Minute Stocking Stuffers

I can't believe I've had a post up almost everyday this week :) Maybe it's a sign that my life is returning to somewhat normal and I'll be able to post more often. :)

I made the project today in literally minutes and it's sooooo cute I had to share it!! If you're looking for some last minute co worker gifts, stocking stuffers or something to do with those kiddos that are home here's the project for you!

Isn't it adorable!? I just wrapped a candy bar in Cherry Cobbler. Put some ribbon around it, used the Brushed Gold and Basic Black CS for a belt buckle and your done. It couldn't be easier! I just LOVE it!!! I made 6 of them in just minutes! They go so fast!!

Gifts from the Party

Our demonstrator Christmas party was Monday night and despite what my post yesterday says I did get to go! YAY!!! We had such a good time and the gifts were OH MY GOODNESS AMAZING!! I can't wait to show you and I'll be making a bunch of these in the future!! So we'll get right to it. I hope I can remember who made what. I'll try, for my fellow demos out there if I'm wrong please let me know!

First up is Michelle C's gift. She made a checkers board with our fabric and checkers pieces with ribbon and buttons! How super creative is THAT!! I'm sooooo making one of these!!!! I actually almost took this home but Corrina stole it :)

This was Corrina's project. A fabulous notebook! I love the cover!! There was 3 different sections inside that she covered and decorated, here's one....

I love this one and the paper!

Amber's Mom made this one, she made it as a door prize for the person who went first. Isn't it awesome! It's a pin cushion with our buttons in the jar. That fabric will be in the next mini catalog and it's simply amazing!

This bag Amber made, isn't it amazing! She used the new die, fabric and buttons all coming out in the next mini catalog! I just love this bag, it's so pretty!!

Angela made this tray-so so so pretty in person! She used our DSP and then covered it with crystal effects. On the tray was lots of bath salts and stuff like that. I just love the tray though and the paper-LOVE IT!!

Kay made this one. A great wall decoration. You can't really tell from the picture but she put rhinestones on the tree and ribbon. It look amazing in person! Kay wasn't feeling great so she wasn't there, hope you're feeling better Kay!

Vanessa made these coasters. Each of them were different, all amazing and so pretty. I only took a picture of this pattern, I think there were 4 total. They were all great though!

Michelle made this box, so pretty, I love those colors!! She did so much sponging on here too, it's just so pretty in person. The flowers are especially beautiful!!!

Mindy made this pillow. It's so creative. She weaved the Cherry Cobbler seam binding through the burlap, isn't that just amazing and so creative. Mindy also brought the MOST amazing ornament. I hoping to make some today and show you later. They're so cool. Thanks for the inspiration Mindy!!

And finally the project I got to keep!! Karen made this bowl. I can't even describe how amazing it is. I'm so happy to have it!! Inside the bowl was this beautiful ornament!

I love it. I've seen them made but was never brave enough to try one myself, but now I don't have to-Thanks Karen!!!! :)

That's it! I think I got pictures of all them, I hope I did anyway :) I know I've said it before but I am so blessed to be in a group with the most talented, amazingly creative group of demonstrators. You all did a fantastic job!

My Table Runner

I love this project. I love the big shot. I love the fabric. I love the possibilities it provides! This is by far my favorite technique to do with the big shot and fabric. The large square scallop die is one of my all time favorite dies! I just love it. I've made countless bags and purses with it and now a table runner and pot holders!! I've had this idea for a table runner for months and months now but I just never had the time to get it done. So with our demo Christmas party and gift exchange I thought now is the time to do it. The other project I wanted to do would have taken a little longer. And I just didn't have that time. So I cut all the fabric and headed over to my Mom's house, (my sewing machine is out of commission right now. It still works it's just not accessible because there's tons of presents in front of it). So my Mom helped me sew them together and they came out fantastic. I want to make another one-for me to keep with the new fabric in the Occasions mini, but longer so that it will go across my entire table. My table's pretty big, it fit perfectly on my Mom's table :)

Here's the pot holders, simple and so cute with the button on the corner!

The table runner! And depending on what kind of mood you're in, it's reversible. You can either have the fringy edges showing like the picture above or you can flip it over for a more finished look to it, like the bottom picture.

I just love it!! Can't wait to make more!!!

What Can I Say-I Love This Card

I love these colors! Oh my goodness I'm going to be making tons of cards with this color combo. Pear Pizazz, Certainly Celery, and Rich Razzleberry! I think they just look so awesome together! I love the flowers on this card too! And of course the rhinestones!! Who doesn't love a little sparkle though.

Aren't the flowers so pretty!? They're super simple to make all you have to do is know how to kiss. No, not that kind of kissing. To kiss the stamping way, you'll need a solid image stamp (the flower) and a pattern of some kind (the dots). For these flowers I inked up my flowers in Rich Razzleberry, stamped the off on scrap paper twice then stamped, in full strength the dots onto the rubber of the flower. So you're basically 'kissing' the stamped images together. Then I stamped the flower onto my paper. So simple. And you get such a stunning look! I just love this card-have I said that yet? I also used some of the new Pear Pizazz seam binding on this card-yep that is new and will be in the new mini catalog in January! Can't wait!!

Logan's Magic Notebook

Last night was supposed to be our demonstrator Christmas party, but thanks to a snow storm we had to postpone it until Monday. But I won't be able to attend on Monday so I won't have pictures from the event. BUT I did drop off my gift exchange so I'll at least be able to show you what awesome gift I'm going to get in exchange :) I'll post on Tuesday what I made for my gift so check back then! I had it scheduled to go up today but thankfully I remembered to reschedule it so that the surprise wouldn't be ruined for those that will be attending on Monday. Hope you guys have a great time!!! I'll miss you!!!

Anyway, I have a pretty awesome project for you today. It's not really a magic notebook as my title would suggest but it's pretty cool and Logan thinks it's magic. He helped me make this. The idea of the notebook is that sometimes when Logan gets dragged along to places that will be particularly boring for him (appointments, meetings, etc) he'll have something to keep him entertained. He loves to draw and color so I thought this was perfect!
I used lots of SU fabric on this one and their adhesive sheets which I have to say are A-MA-ZING!! I just love them!!! This is a completely NO SEW project! So if I can do it you can too!!

No, your eyes are not deceiving you I did emboss the fabric!

Isn't it just so awesome!?! I saw the embossed fabric on Linda Heller's blog and just had to try it and I have to say, it's amazing in person and you really should try it! If you're wondering how I did it well you'll have to check out Linda Heller's blog. She has a video and explains it so much better than I ever could so check that out!

So that's the front of the notebook now the 'magic' part is in the back. We used the fabric and made two pockets for him to store stickers and crayons. Everything is held together with the fabric adhesive sheets-I'm telling you they're amazing! Isn't it just adorable? So hopefully he'll have endless hours drawing and coloring in his notebook and when he is dragged to 'boring grown up places' he'll be able to stay entertained. At least that's my hope!

So fun! I have a week of post ready to go up. So that I can enjoy the week before Christmas finishing up the gifts, wrapping, baking, etc. You know how it goes :)

I'm happy to announce I'm getting my to-do list done in a timely fashion. Megan had her 8 week check up yesterday and she's 11lbs 9oz and 24 inches long. She's going to be very tall she's already in 6 month clothes. Geez!! I still have lots to do on my to do list and I've added a couple more so this post will be pretty quick.

This is the second card I made for my friend, you can see the first one here. This one was simple and I think I've done lots of different cards with this same layout. What can I say, just love this layout.

I love this DSP and since I've been using my Christmas stash lately I forgot I had this one.

The card is pretty self explanatory. I stamped the greeting twice, once in Baja Breeze then again in Soft Suede and cut out the soft suede THANKS. Popped it up with dimensionals and it's done. Couldn't be easier!

Tomorrow is our demo party, I'm so exited. I finished my gift and can't wait for the party. I hope I can remember to take pictures of the gifts!

A Wonderful CASE

Quick, quick post today. I can't believe how much stuff I need to get done this week. I hope I have enough time :/ We have our Christmas demo meeting this week, which I love. We all bring 1 stamped/homemade gift with SU supplies and we do a fun gift exchange. I still need to make the gift! Also sometime this week I need to finish getting ready for my class on Sunday. The girls are going to make the Design a House and some Simple adorned charms. I'm excited for it and I don't have too much more to get ready. Logan also has to get a flu shot this week, Megan has her 8 week check up. And somewhere in there I need to make 3 batches of cookies. 2 for a cookie bake off tomorrow night and 1 for a cookie exchange Thursday. Oh and I need to clean the house really well since I have company coming on Friday. YIKES! So much to do! And Christmas is only 12 days away you know. I still have a few gifts to wrap but thank goodness everything is bought! So you'll understand if I don't get my posts out as quickly as I would like this week :) I"m sure you're just as busy!

Before we get to the project I have the cutest picture of Megan we took yesterday. She's 8 weeks today-can you believe it!?
Isn't that just the cutest! I think this is her first 'official' smile. She even had a tiny giggle that went along with it!! Too cute-I just love this picture!

For today's project. I was asked by a friend to make some cards for her, so here's one of the designs I did. I love this card. I got the inspiration for it from Mary Fish's blog. She's an amazing stamper. I just LOVE everything she does!

Mine is slightly different I sponged the edges on mine and changed the ribbon and brad color but everything else is the same. I just love it!

I also put my white card on a Basic Gray piece of CS. When I do neutral colored cards (Vanilla, White) I like to put some colored CS on the back just to give it a little extra POP of color. Plus I think it makes it just a little bit more sturdy :)

Before my to-do list gets any longer I better get to work!!

Bubble Magic

Are you ready for some magic? I mean some awesome bubble, stamping magic!!! When I saw this technique on Dawn Olchefsky's blog I knew I had to try it. It was so awesome and you get the best results with it! I couldn't be happier with this technique. So I tried it with some pinks and decided to get a jump start on my Valentine's Day cards.

Doesn't that just look awesome!?! It's so easy too, it's basically just bubbles (Logan has like a gallon of them), pour them in a small container, add some reinker and blow with a straw. When the bubbles reach the top of the bowl, gently press your cardstock into it and ta-da. The coolest looking background ever! Dawn has a great video on her blog so I encourage you to check that out for more details on how to do this technique.

For my card, I used 2 colors. The first color I used was Pretty in Pink and in addition to the reinkers in there I put a few drops of Shimmer Paint in there too. So that made the background oh soo soooo sparkly (which you know I love). Then once the Pretty in Pink layer dried I went over it with Regal Rose bubbles. So pretty!! I love it!!!

Once the whole thing was dry I used my Color Spritzer tool and my Crumb Cake marker. I just love the whole look of this card!!

Dazzling Dasher

As I'm writing this I'm waiting (as patiently as possible) for the UPS man to bring me my new toys! I can't wait! I'm so excited to play with my new dies and the new paper-oh my goodness the new paper is beautiful! I'm sure I'll have plenty of samples to show you soon! But I have had time to stamp. More time the last few days then I've had in a really long time so I have lots to share with you. You'll see it all in the next few days. Now the challenge will be finding the time to post them. I'm good at looking at blogs and just doing general stuff online while holding Megan but I'm not so great at one handed typing :) But hopefully with a few good naps (for Megan) I can get all the posts done! In the meantime here's a cute, fast Christmas card.

I got the inspiration for this card from Splitcoast stampers. I was doing a search for something else and this card came up and it was so nice so I made my version of it. I added some sparkle to it from the rhinestones and I added some ribbon to mine.

Isn't it just so cute and simple. Not much to explain on how I did it. I think it's pretty self explanatory. Now it's back to waiting for the big brown truck to drive up!

Trim the Tree

We've had our tree up for almost 2 weeks now and every year I can't help but make a few new ornaments. Both of these were 'tester' ornaments. I thought about doing them for a class but never got things together fast enough. But I still really like these ornaments and both are super easy to make, especially with kiddos. Perhaps next year I'll get my act together in time and do the kids Christmas ornament class like I wanted to do this year :)

The first ornament is with our fabric. I used the circle #2 die and cut out 4 of them. I used glue to glue them together but I think next time I will use the iron adhesive sheets we have (I forgot I had those). But I think it would work a hundred times better!
It's still super cute and there's a couple little baubles on the bottom of it, it's a little hard to see though.


The next one I saw on splitcoast, and I'm sorry I didn't save the link to give the proper credit, but thanks to whoever thought this one up, it's super cute!!

Again I used the circles #2 die for his belly and the 1 3/4 circle punch for his head. Some treat cups with fake 'snow' in them and you have a super cute snowman. Isn't he just the funnest!!?! I think this one would be a huge hit with the kiddos, so again like I said, next year I'll get my act together and hold that kids ornament class. In the meantime, I'll keep 'experimenting'.

Candy Cane Santa's

What a busy weekend, but productive :) Saturday we went to the River of Lights. In Albuquerque the botanical gardens fills the gardens with tons of festive lights. They shape them to be animals or other objects. The moving dinosaur is always Logan's favorite. So we went to that on Saturday night and it was freezing and packed. Oh my goodness there we sooo many people there. We certainly chose the wrong night to go :) But we still had a good time. Megan was nice and cozy warm up against me in her Beco carrier (which I love!). So it was just the rest of us that were cold :) Sunday Dan and I got our Christmas shopping done with the help of my Mom babysitting Logan. So all that's left is to wrap and wait for Christmas. This morning I was so happy to wake up and see that my SU order has shipped! I hope it gets here soon! Probably by Wednesday I'll have tons of new stuff to play with. So that gives me 2 days to get ready for my class and demo meeting later this month :) I would at least love to get the class done and ready that would be a huge relief!

In addition to my busy weekend, on Friday night I hosted bunco at my house. I made these super cute Santa candy cane favors for those that came. They are so stinkin cute, I got the idea from Heather Summers. Copied them pretty much exactly! Gotta love all those great ideas out there.

Aren't they just the sweetest little candy cane treats?! I'm not going to list a supply list or going into great detail of how they're made. Heather does an excellent job of that on her blog. Plus she has a video so you can see step by step instructions, how cool is that!

I just love them, they're so cute. My next goal is to get another 16 made for Logan's class at school, and then maybe if I have time Dan's office. I guess I better start punching!!

More Hummingbirds

I'm happy to say that with the exception of a few gifts for Megan and Logan (those we'll get this weekend) we're done with our Christmas shopping. Now all that's left is to wrap them. I actually really like wrapping presents. Not sure why. I also prefer actually wrapping gifts in paper and not sticking them in bags. Not that there's anything wrong with that, I use bags alot too, I just prefer the paper. So I may start wrapping early. Not only because I like to do it but also because I'm really impatient and I can't stand to see all the unwrapped gifts sitting in the closet :) Of course once they're wrapped then we have to wait until Christmas to open them :) When my sisters and I were kids we used to open our presents early and re-wrap them while my parents were at work--I know terrible huh!! We used a small paring knife to carefully cut the tape then peek at our gifts---re-wrap them on the same fold line and my parents never knew. I think we confessed to that a few years ago, if not I just did it now :) Anyway you came here for a project so let's get to it!

So while I had the hummingbird stamp out from making these bookmarks, I decided to make a card. When I finished it I liked it, then it was sitting on my desk and every time I came into my stamp room I saw it and my 'like' turned to 'love'. It's just so pretty and I wish the pictures did justice to it. I'm not sure if it's the yellows that I love or the subtle vintage look. I'm not sure, but I sure do LOVE IT!

It was really easy to make and it's pretty straight forward, I won't go into details of how it was made. The only accessories on this card are the pearls and the dimensionals on the bird. So it's easy to duplicate. I actually may make a bunch more of these (time permitting) :)

I brought out my color spritzer tool and that may actually be what I love most about it. It really 'finishes' the card. If you don't have a color spritzer yet, you MUST get one. I promise you will not be disappointed.

Hummingbird Bookmark

It's already December 1st can you believe it?! Where did the year go?! Well I know I spent about 5 months of it in bed sick as a dog. But for those of you who lived life all year, can YOU believe it's already December?! I sure can't. Christmas is only 24 days away! BUT a great thing about December 1st is that SU demos can pre-order Sale-a-Bration and Occasions mini products! YEP that's right Sale-a-Bration is right around the corner and the new mini catalog will start on January 4! There are so many cute new products too, I can't wait to get my stuff!!! Just another wonderful perk about being a SU demonstrator!

I have a really cute project to show you today. I really love it!! I LOVE IT!! I can't say it enough. And it's one of the simplest things I've ever made. I was asked by a friend at church to do a stamp party for her daughter, kind of like an end of the year party. So the girls will make a Simply Adorned charm, the Design a House and a bookmark. So here's the book mark....

Well it's actually in the book-shocking place for it right? :) By the way if you're still Christmas shopping here's a book to get that book lover on your shopping list. My Mom wrote this book, along with a bunch of others, but this one is Mary My Love. It's biblical fiction about Mary and Joseph, it's perfect reading for this time of year. For more information and to purchase them you can see her website. You can also see her other books there too. All make great gifts :) Ok now that my commercial is over back to the book mark.

It's made from the 2 tags die and it's just adorable!!

There's magnets on both ends. To make it, fold a piece of cardstock in half and place it on the 2 tags die but place the folded edge below the cutting edge of the top of the tag. That way you get the shape of the tag but you still have one long tag instead of two tags. Cute huh?!

There's pretty much no embellishments on this thing, since it's going into a book. The DSP is the Blushing Bride DSP from the hostess pack and the images are stamped in Blushing Bride and Regal Rose using the Elements of Style set. I love that humming bird, it's so pretty!

Everything else is pretty straight forward. Such a simple, fast yet stunning project!! I just love it. And they would make great stocking stuffers or teacher/coworker gifts. So pretty.
