Reindeer Fun Sneak Peek!

If you caught my Facebook Live on Wednesday you might have already gotten a sneak peek at today's card.  I'm doing a fun variation of the card I shared on Wednesday with you.  I loved the way it opened, such a good fun fold.  So I decided to rotate it and have it open top and bottom instead of side to side.  I adjusted the measurements a little and I'm so pleased with this card.  I made a bunch of these cards for a swap.  I'm using all new products on this card too!  The Reindeer Fun Bundle might be my favorite bundle in the new catalog.  I love this die cut reindeer sooo much!!!  The Reindeer Fun Bundle has some coordinating DSP in the suite but instead I'm using a different package.  This is the Take a Bow DSP.  It's got some amazing and classic Christmas colors and the patterns weren't too busy and were perfect for this card.  

Let's talk about these dies a little more.  The reindeer is made from three different dies, cut out from three colors (Early Espresso, Basic Beige and Pecan Pie).  They stack together in the best way making an adorable and effortless reindeer!  I added color and depth to my Lemon Lime Twist die cut wreath with some water painters and some Granny Apple Green Ink.  I finished my reindeer with a gold bell and bow with some adorable new baker's twine coming in the mini.  For a fun tone on tone behind the deer, I die cut lots of holly leaves and adhered them.  It's a small detail but adds lots of interest.  The mini catalog launches on Wednesday, September 4, 2024.  Get your lists ready!

Potions and Spells Fun Fold-VIDEO!

Hello friends!  I'm back with fun Halloween card for you!  I'm loving this fun fold!  I can't wait to do more with this one.  I received a card with this fun fold from a swap I did in March at Stampin' Up!s OnStage Event.  The original card was from Brandy Cox and I loved her fold so I tucked it aside to do at a later time.  The Potions and Spells Bundle is the perfect bundle for this fun fold! 

I love the watercolor look of the DSP and used that for my color inspiration.  I used Stampin' Blends to color my cauldron and bubbles.  I covered the bubbles with Wink of Stella for some much needed sparkle.  The card opens with both sides folding out.  Super cute!!  If you love this fun fold, check back on Friday for another variation of it.

More Than Autumn Sneak Peek!

We are just over a week from launching the new September-December Mini Catalog, or Holiday Catalog as I generally refer to it.  The Mini Catalog will launch on September 4, 2024 and there are lots of amazing products in there!  This bundle, More Than Autumn is one of them and it's an incredible bundle!  So many greetings, so many images and amazing dies!  I know you'll love it!  I wanted to use it in some non-traditional fall colors.  I've seen great projects with this but they're all featured in those rich fall colors but I want to showcase how great this set will be year round, not just fall.  Let's face it when we buy supplies we want to use them for more than a couple of months, we need to stretch our money to make these products work year round.  Not to worry this bundle is perfect of that!  So I went with some bright, fun colors.  I colored my doughnuts in a few different 'frosting' flavors using Stampin' Blends.  They all look so yummy!

Alien Abduction Slider Card-VIDEO

I can't wait to share this card with you!  I've had this one made for a while and I've been so excited to share it.  When I saw the Flying By Set in the Annual Catalog I knew that it had serious potential for slider cards.  Once I was finally able to get it done I was soo happy with it! I love how the little space ship slides up and doing so reveals a beam of light.  It's so fun!  I think it will bring a smile to anyone.  I wanted a night sky, but I thought Misty Moonlight and Night of Navy were too dark so I used Boho Blue cardstock and I ink blended with Blending Brushes, Blueberry Bushel Ink to give it that darker sky look.  

If you've never made a slider, basically you need a channel of some sort and something fun behind and/or under the channel.  It can be a slit cut in the base or something bigger like I've done.  Our Paper Trimmer is a fantastic tool for this, it has a ruler on the cutting arm so you can precisely measure what you need to trim.  I colored my space ship with Stampin' Blends and added some Fine Tip Glue over the dome to give it a glossy look.  Give the ribbon on top a pull and the magic happens! 

Our alien friend will 'float all the way to the top of the card.  Sooo fun!!!  Can you think of someone who would love this card.  For my greeting I wanted something smaller that wouldn't distract from the movement, I found this greeting in the Saying Hey Stamp Set and well, it's completely perfect!  My video below will have all the amazing details of this card, you'll want to check that out!
