Coolest Racoon

I have the most adorable card to share today.  I'm using the All Bundled Up Set.  This could be a Christmas card but I think I would send this year round too.  I used lots of bright pops of color with the Polished Pink, Tahitian Tide and Parakeet Party.  Because of the pops of color I decided to keep my background pretty neutral so I kept with Smoky Slate and Basic Gray.  I used the Celebrations Tags Dies for my tag and the snowflakes which pair perfectly with this cute racoon.

I colored my racoon with Stampin' Blends, you can find the colors I used in the supply list below.  There are no dies for the racoon or trees so you do have to fussy cut, but it's totally worth it!  My tree is from the Caroling Mice Host Set but I love the pop of green it added.  I used the new Charming Landscapes Embossing Folder for the background.  I love the texture it gives.   I have a full supply list below.  You can shop for these products in my Online Store.

Sale-a-Bration Sunday-Kraft Gift Boxes and Silver Foil

Today is our last Sale-a-Bration Sunday Project!  If you haven't already gotten your Sale-a-Bration items make sure you shop ASAP. Sale-a-Bration ends on Wednesday!  Today I'm featuring two of the additional products Stampin' Up! released earlier this month.  I'm showcasing the Kraft Gift Boxes and Silver Foil.  This project is really more about the boxes.  I incorporated the foil on the belly band of my project but the boxes are the real star!

The Kraft Gift Boxes are a new item, to me anyway.  I LOVE all of the packaging that Stampin' Up! provides but I have so so SO much of it so I kept telling myself that I wasn't going to get these boxes...well that didn't last.  These boxes are amazing, They're so sturdy and they're much bigger than I thought they would be!  My box is the perfect gift for some cards.  I know that lots of you probably make and give away your cards.  Look at how gorgeous this packaging can be! So pretty!

I'm featuring the Cottage Garden Bundle, from my belly band to the cards.  The detailed dies are pretty amazing.  They layer beautifully like on my belly band.  There's a detailed ribbon and some sprigs too.  They all work so beautifully together!

https://www.stampinup.com/products/classic-stampin-pad-poppy-parade?demoid=61459

But it's not just the dies that are gorgeous.  I used the stamps for my cards.  In my box I have two 'grateful' cards and two 'Merry Christmas' cards, with envelopes.  However I think I can get a couple more cards in there for a gift of six cards.

https://www.stampinup.com/products/classic-stampin-pad-poppy-parade?demoid=61459

The stamps are stunning and they're the DisINKtive stamps so that means that with only one stamp and one ink pad you can get the amazing shading and detail.  I kept with some fall colors for my 'grateful' card.  I stamped the wreath in Garden Green, the bow in Calypso Coral, leaves in Cajun Craze.  I also stamped the acorn and tiny leaves in Crumb Cake and Soft Suede.  There are dies for all of these pieces.

Much like the 'grateful' card the 'Merry Christmas' one features the same elements.  With a few swaps of colors and branches you can have a completely different card.  I used some of the new Gingham Cottage DSP on both cards and my belly band.  This is an amazing mega stack of paper.

The cards share the same layout and measurements:
Card Base 4 1/4" x 11" scored at 5 1/2"
Background layer 4" x 5 1/4"
DSP layer 3 3/4" x 5"
Vellum layer 3 1/4" x 4 1/2"

Scraps of Basic White and Very Vanilla for stamping and die cutting.

Box belly band 1 1/2" x 12"

Christmas Scottie Cookie Box-VIDEO

I have an adorable box to share with you today!  I'm using lots of my favorites today!  The Christmas Scottie Bundle is so cute and it reminds me of my sweet pup!  I'm also using the Gingham Cottage DSP which is probably my absolute favorite DSP right now.  We're making a cute Christmas box today.  If you didn't want to make this one a Christmas one.  Change up the colors and the greeting and now you have a completely different box.

stampin up, christmas scottie

This box is fairly large it's about 3 3/4" x 3 3/4" x 1 1/4".  I designed this box specifically for the Walkers Shortbread dog cookies.  I found them in a .88oz box at my local World Market.  I've searched Amazon and the World Market website and cannot locate this exact size for these cookies.  But this box is such a good size lots of other treats would fit in it. I think I'd still use the Walkers dog cookies for this box and get a larger box then package them up in pretty bags with ribbon.  This box is a little larger than my normal boxes and is a little more time consuming so I'm only making this box for those super special people so repackaging the cookies for them I think is ok.  If you can't find the cookies, this box is a great size and so many other treats will fit in it too.

stampin up, christmas scottie

Let's get down to the details of this box.  My box base is Cherry Cobbler, it was the best match for my cookie box.  I knew I had to use the Gingham Cottage DSP but the red in that package is Real Red so instead of changing up the color of my box I used the black and white pattern in the Gingham Cottage DSP and a Blending Brush and made my own Cherry Cobbler Gingham DSP.  I stamped my greeting and bow also in Cherry Cobbler Ink.  For my pup, I used my Stamparatus and Black Memento to stamp him a couple of times to get him a nice dark black.

stampin up, christmas scottie

My box and my lid are two separate pieces and I've hidden some small magnets in the box design so the box closes and stays closed seamlessly.  You can also use velcro or tie is closed with some ribbon.  If you didn't want a lid on your box at all just leave the DSP lid off and trim the tabs off the top.

stampin up, christmas scottie

Here's a look at those cookies that I found.  I know that Walkers sells some individual packs of their non dog shortbread.  I don't have one of those on hand so I don't know how well they'd fit in the box.  I assume you'll be able to get one or two packages in this box.  I finished up my box with some Black and White Gingham Ribbon and I colored one of the Opal Rounds with my Cherry Cobbler Stampin' Blends for his bow.  So cute!

Here's the measurements if you want to make this box.  I've included a picture of how my paper is trimmed after it's scored.  Make sure to check out the video for all the details on this box.  While you're there make sure to subscribe to my channel so you never miss a video.

Box:

On the long side score at 1", 4 3/4" and 6"

DSP Pieces:

Lighthouse Point and Watercolor Background

I love today's card and I'm sharing a fun watercolor technique you can try.  This one is one that I haven't done in years but just in the past week I've seen it in multiple places so maybe it's making a comeback!  I'm using the Lighthouse Point Bundle for my card today.  This one wasn't even on my wishlist.  Let's face it, I live in New Mexico, we don't have lighthouses here.  I don't know much about them so they don't usually draw my attention.  Then I saw amazing projects made with this bundle over and over again, and now, well I'm obsessed with this lighthouse!  I went for a pretty bold light house.  I used Melon Mambo and Starry Sky for my lighthouse.  The lights in my lighthouse are Mango Melody.  I cut the details on the top of the light house with Basic White.  After I had my rail die cut I didn't like the white on white for the top of the lighthouse and the rail so I used my Smoky Slate Stampin' Blends and added some quick color to them.  Save yourself some trouble and cut all the small details pieces out with Adhesive Sheets on the back, this includes the lights!  You'll thank me later. The rocks on the bottom are stamped in Basic Gray with one of the larger abstract stamps then I die cut them with the rock dies.  There is a rock stamp in the set but I didn't want a white border on it.  I wanted that abstract look to go from edge to edge, so I stamped the larger image then die cut it from those.

stampin up, lighthouse point

For that gorgeous watercolor background I did the 'block smooshing' technique.  I colored directy onto my block with some Stampin' Write Markers.  NOTE-Make sure you're using the waterbased Stampin' Write Markers NOT Stampin' Blends.  The waterbased Stampin' Write Markers are round and sold in color groups, the Stampin' Blends are rectangle and sold individually by color.  The colors I used on my block were (from the bottom to the top) Coastal Cabana, Daffodil Delight, Melon Mambo and Night of Navy.  Once you have it colored, don't worry about being neat here, spritz it a few times with your Stampin' Spritzer filled with plain water.  Then either press some paper directly on it or flip it over and press it onto your paper.  I used Shimmery White Paper, Watercolor Paper would also be a good choice.  Lift up the block and let the paper dry.  That's it!  So simple and gorgeous results.  Once it was dry completely I die cut it with the Deckled Rectangle Dies.  I have a full supply list below.  You can shop for these products in my Online Store.

Sale-a-Bration Sunday-Gold and Silver Paper Ghirardelli Square Pouch-VIDEO

Welcome to another Sale-a-Bration Sunday!  We are nearing the end of Sale-a-Bration so if you still have some items on your wish list get them now, Sale-a-Bration ends on August 31, 2022.  Today I'm showcasing the beautiful Gold and Silver Paper in the Sale-a-Bration Catalog.  This paper is 6" x 6" and has gold and silver metallic accents on it.  It's gorgeous and you can use it for so many projects.  Today I'm sharing a fun pouch.  No cutting or scoring involved!

stampin up, quiet meadow, meadow dies

I used a full 6" x 6" piece of the Gold and Silver Paper for my pouch.  I added color to it with a Blending Brush and Pool Party, Coastal Cabana, Bermuda Bay Inks.  I added them in a gorgeous ombre pattern.  I love the light to dark look of them.  To assemble the pouch add strong adhesive to one side and the top and the bottom.  NOTE-if you don't want your recipient to have to rip it open DON'T put adhesive on the top, instead use a clip, clothespin or ribbon.  Place your chocolates in the center, I used two, three will probably fit too.  Fold over the side with no adhesive, followed by the side with adhesive.  Pinch top and bottom closed.  For some added texture I added some crimped lines to the top and bottom with my Simply Scored.

stampin up, quiet meadow, meadow dies

I used another piece of the Gold and Silver Paper to wrap around the pouch, this one is 1" x 6".  My flowers and leaves are all die cut with the Meadow Dies from the Annual Catalog. I die cut them in a variety of cardstock and metallic papers.  I love the layered look of them.  My greeting in from the Quiet Meadow Set.  I finished up my pouch with some Pool Party Ribbon and a gold die cut butterfly.

Elephant Parade Matchbook Post It Holder-VIDEO

I have another adorable Elephant Parade treat to share with you!  This one isn't a sweet treat but it's a great one for note takes and list makers-you know who you are.  I have cut little post it matchbook holder.  This is so simple to make, you could make them for your coworkers teacher and more!

stampin up, elephant parade

I used lots of coordinating dies on this in addition to the dies that come in the Elephant Parade Bundle.  I used the Stitched Greenery Die for my background.  This is such a good die for some subtle backgrounds.  I also used my Layering Circles Dies, this one measures about 2 1/2" across so if you have a similar sized punch you can use that too.

stampin up, elephant parade

For my elephant I colored him with Smoky Slate Stampin' Blends.  I used some Dark Petal Pink on his ears and went over it with my Light Smoky Slate.  That tones down the brightness of the pink.  I used Balmy Blue cardstock for my holder and stapled my post it notes into the holder.  I covered up my staple with a piece of 2022-2024 In Color DSP.

Holder 3" x 7 3/4"
On the long side score at 3/4", 4 1/4" and 4 1/2"

Background piece 2 7/8" x 3 1/8"

DSP piece 2 7/8" x 5/8"

Check out my video for all the details.  Make sure you subscribe to my YouTube Channel so you never miss a video.

Inside my matchbook I have these super cute elephant notes.  This matchbook is sized for these specifically, if you use a different stack of post it's or a different thickness you'll have to adjust the measurements to fit your notes.  I found these on Amazon.  I have a full supply list below, you can shop for these products in my Online Store.
