Tutorial Tuesday-My favorite way to watercolor

Last Thursday I got my new preorder stuff for the mini. Oh my goodness am I ever excited. I just LOVE LOVE LOVE our new build a bear (BAB) product line. In addition to most of the BAB stuff I also got a lot of stamp sets. Some new accessories, some new DSP. But have I used anything except the BAB stuff-NO! I just think this stuff is tooooo darn cute!
For the tutorial today I'm not showing anything super exciting or really new, just my favorite way to watercolor. I don't watercolor often, I don't think I'm great at it. When I have a great image like this little bear then I'll go crazy but I always watercolor the same way (when I'm using ink anyway-crayons or pastels are another story). So here's how I watercolor, I like this way best.

I use an acrylic block-some people use these blocks to stamp with, I use mine to watercolor with. You can also use a stamp case if you don't have a block. And the SU markers and a blender pen. I'm using watercolor paper with my image stamped in staz on.

Pick all your colors and color on the block. I've put larger colors of browns and blues because I'll use those the most. If you need to re-color with more color you can. The thing I love about doing it on blocks like this is that you can walk away for a while and come back and still be able to pick the color up with a blender pen or aqua painter. Isn't that great! Watercoloring for the woman on the go!

Then you just use it like you would any other color pallet. Pick up your color and color with it.

Here's my finished bear. Isn't he just the cutest thing ever!

Here he is on a card.
Let's not forget the little girl though!

Tell me that's not the cutest thing ever!
Thanks for looking, see you tomorrow!
