Advent Calendar

I am so pleased with how this came out and I am so excited to use it year after year. I just love it, I'm so excited about it!!!
The original idea is not mine. I copied this idea from the SU website, but I still love it! I made all the boxes. I used 3x4 pieces of DSP to make it. All the boxes are made from the DSP hostess pack. For a tutorial on how I made the boxes, check out my tutorial tuesday post on November 25
The frame is just a regular 11x14 frame. I used some of the DSP from the Winter Retreat Simply Scrappin' Kit inside the frame.
The countdown comes from SU's decor elements line. It was so easy to put on. The number are on velcro and there's velcro on the frame so they'll be easy to change everyday.

Each box has a treat inside. Which I'm sure my son will be all over. The ribbon on each box is just tied in a knot then put on the box with a mini glue dot. The boxes are also velcroed to the frame so each year I can rearrange them if I want. Plus on velcro they kind of stick up just enough past the edge of the frame to add more dimension and detail.

The numbers are stored in this box, made exactly the same way as the small treat boxes but with 5.5x8.5 pieces of cardstock.

The numbers are in order so that as you remove one you put it in the back and pull the front number to put on the frame.
I'm just overjoyed by how this came out and am so excited to use it. It's actually been hanging up in our kitchen since Thanksgiving and I smile every time I look at it. I just love it--how many times have I said that?!
