It's time for the twelve weeks of Christmas! This is a series I do every year. I'll share a fun, sometimes over the top, project in the twelve weeks leading up to Christmas. Today is week two and I'm sharing a really fun, over the top gift card slider. Your friends and family won't be able to stop playing with this one. It's mesmerizing! I'm using the More Than Autumn Bundle. Since planning this project this bundle has been added to the Last Chance List. While I'm not a huge fan of peppermint I do recognize that it is a staple for some during the holiday season, if that's you this might be the gift card holder for you. I designed this to hold maybe a couple coffee shop gift cards, perhaps for an office friend or teacher. But you could fill this with gift cards to anywhere.
I used Memento Black to stamp my images and colored them with Stampin' Blends. The greeting is three parts, there's the heat embossed part, the die cut part and the stamped part. I love all the different textures. My DSP and tag dies are both new, I used the Pattern Tags Dies and the Christmas Tags and More DSP. LOVE both!
The magic of this gift card holder comes when you open it. Pull the left side with the twine and, as if by magic, both sides slide out. You could attach a gift card to both sides making it a really special gift or you can use one side to write on. You'll want to slide this holder open and closed over and over again. Check the video to see this in action and to see how to make it. It's not as complicated as it looks-I promise!
