Birthday Card Stamp a Stack

I think by far the most cards we mail are birthday cards.  I try to do a birthday card stamp a stack a couple of times a year so that we can all stock up on birthday cards.  I held one over the weekend and it was so much fun!  Everyone made 2 of all the cards, for a total of 10 cards.  So fun!  They're all simple and quick to make which makes mass production quick and easy!  This first card uses the Perennial Birthday set.  So cute!
The next card uses the Sure Do Love You set.  This set is made to be a Valentine's Day set but with a new greeting you have a new card that you can use year round!
We used three sets for this card!  I'll be honest I planned these cards way back in April and when I was prepping for this class it took me a while to figure out where all the stamps came from LOL.  The greeting is from Happy Birthday Gorgeous, then we used Work Of Art for some of the abstract pieces behind the greeting. The part that stumped me was the little dots, they're from Timeless Textures.
I love this card, perfect for a guy or even those teen boys that you might have in your life!  I'm so sad this set is retiring!  It's the Happy Celebrations set and coordinating embossing folders.  So fun!!! PLUS, probably the set I'm most sad about, the diagonal background is going!!!!  NOOOOOO I love that stamp and use it all the time!!  I even just bought a second one in clear to use with my Stamparatus!  I may keep that one.....
Finally the last card uses the Picture Perfect Birthday set.  I am sooooo glad this one isn't retiring, I LOVE IT!!! It wasn't even on my wish list at the beginning!  We also used the Picture Perfect DSP which I also LOVE!

Hello Friend Cake Box

I'm pretty excited about my weekend.  I have a huge birthday stamp a stack tomorrow! I feel like it's been a long time since my last class, and it has my last class was mid March and now here we are at the end of April.  If you follow my blog you know that I love to give gifts for those that attend my classes.  It's a little thank you for coming.  I love to make boxes and other gift items so this a great way for me to stretch that muscle and share some love!  These boxes are so cute and they were so easy to make!
The idea and directions came from Erica Cerwin.  I saw this video and LOVED this idea so I made a bunch of them! If you want to learn to make them too check out Erica's video.  I used the Wood Words set for mine along with the Tailored Tag Punch, Modern Label and 2" Circle Punch.  I used a variety of retiring ribbons so I coordinated my colors to match the ribbons.  All the boxes are done with Tempting Turquoise.
Inside the boxes are these cute Little Debbie lemon and strawberry cakes.  The only variation I made to my box was instead of tying the ribbon just across the top of the box like Erica did I made a ribbon slider.  I cut my ribbon long enough that it goes around the treat.  I threaded my ribbon through the holes on the top of the box then inserted my treat over the ribbon, which pushes the ribbon down and almost wraps the treat.  Then I tied a bow.  When you pull the bow the ribbon pulls the entire treat up.  It's really cute and a fun way to package an item!

Share What You Love Bag

Beginning May 1st the Share What You Love Promotion will begin.  This is a fantastic suite of products from the upcoming catalog that Stampin' Up! is releasing early to everyone! I love this suite of products sooooo much!!! There's amazing stamp sets, beautiful accessories like ribbons, pearls and more!  Plus this fantastic DSP!  And Oh. My. Goodness! It is beautiful!!!  There's 3 different bundles to choose from, they range from the beginner crafter to the advanced crafter that has to have it all!!  You will want it all!!!  This bag is really cute and really easy to make, the finished bag measures 4 1/4" wide, 7 1/2" tall and 1 1/4" deep.  To make if you'll start with a 9"x12" piece of DSP.  On the 12" side score at 1 1/4", 5 3/4", 7" and 11 1/2". On the 9" side score at 1 1/4" on the bottom.  You'll cut the tabs along the bottom on the score lines and assemble your bag.
Back to the paper for now.  This DSP pack is not only specialty paper, there's pearlized accents on many of the sheets of DSP, but it's also a double pack of DSP!  Instead of 2 sheets of everything you get 4! It's perfect for big projects or classes.  I love all the patterns too!  They're so beautiful and I love the pearl shimmer!  Did you know that Stampin' Up! choose pearl for this DSP because they're celebrating their 30th anniversary and pearl is the traditional gift for 30.
This is a peek at the Love What You Do Set as well as the new Rich Razzleberry Velvet Ribbon-YES VELVET! The tag and thread is also from the Share What You Love Embellishment kit.  Love Love LOVE!!!
Inside my bags I put some mini blueberry muffins.  So cute and a fun gift for a teacher, co worker, friend or anyone!  Look for more information on the Share What You Love Suite coming soon!!!

The New In Colors

We're nearing the final month of school here.  I can't believe it!  Soon the kids will be out for the entire summer! I've been busily trying to catch up on work, classes, family schedules and more!  I have a big class coming up this weekend and it's consumed nearly my entire week, but I'm excited about the class. It will be a great time!  Today I wanted to introduce you to the new 2018-2020 In Colors!  I love these colors so much!  They're beautiful individually or together.  The first is Lovely Lipstick.  It's a beautiful rich, dark pink that I will reach for often!
Next up is Pineapple Punch.  This bright yellow is my new favorite yellow of all time!!  I'm not a big yellow fan but I LOVE this color!!!  The cards are all identical with the exception of colors.  I used a new set called Detailed With Love.  This greeting is my favorite "So many of my smiles begin with you" How great is that!!!
Next up is Grapefruit Grove.  Those of you sad about Peekaboo Peach leaving, have no fear Grapefruit Grove is an awesome substitute....I may even like it better.  It's a little bolder and brighter than Peekaboo Peach but that's one of the reasons I love it!!  The cards all also feature the new Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon.  This is going to be my favorite ribbon ever!  It's so pretty and soft!  I LOVE IT!!!
Blueberry Bushel is up next and it's a gorgeous bright blue!  Perfect for so many projects!  This is a great classic blue to keep in your stash!  I used the Layering Ovals to cut out the greetings and the scalloped black tags behind the greetings.  So pretty!!!
Finally, our last color is Call Me Clover.  This is the perfect shamrock green and will be a great addition to our line of colors.  So that's it! That's a good look at some new products, and our new In Colors! Do you have a favorite color?  I can't choose I love them all!!!

Animal Outing Trio

I can tell this set will get used A LOT!!!  My kids love these animal images and I think they're pretty cute too!!!  I saw this card on Mindy's blog and LOVED the simplicity of it, obviously I had to create my own versions!!!  I used my Stampin' Blends to color all my images.  I used the same products on all of my cards.  The DSP banners is a new DSP coming in MAY!  It's part of the Share What You Love Suite coming soon!!  For my giraffe I used Daffodil Delight and Pumpkin Pie Blends and mounted it on a Daffodil Delight card base.
For my rhino card I used Smoky Slate blends for the rhino and Rich Razzleberry for the bird.  All the animals are outlined in Pool Party blends to add a little dimension.  I used a Rich Razzleberry card base for this one to bring in the color from the bird.
Finally for the kangaroo I used Crumb Cake blends on the Kangaroo with a little of the Ivory blend on the pouch.  The koala in the pouch is colored with Smoky Slate Blends.  I grounded the kangaroo and rhino with some grass and the Old Olive blends.  The kangaroo is on a Crumb Cake base.  LOVE all of these cards!

Painted Glass Roses

Yesterday I shared a card using the Painted Glass Suite and today I have another card featuring that suite.  It is truly one of my favorite suites in the catalog!  I stamped and colored a bunch of roses with my blends.  I still have some spare ones on my desk that I didn't use.  I cut them out with the coordinating framelits and I also cut out that gorgeous black window frame!
I adhered the frame to my card with some fine tip glue then I used my blends to color that in too.  I love the look of it.  The greeting is also from the set and I used the flowers to finish off the frame and the card.  Such a sweet pretty and simple card that looks like you spent hours on it!  This is a suite you'll have to have!!!

Painted Glass Suite

I've been having fun playing with all my new stuff!!!!  One of the new suites in the catalog is this Painted Glass Suite and I LOVE IT!!!!  It's a gorgeous suite that features lots of images that look like stained glass and is simply gorgeous!!  I used only the butterfly and thank you greeting from the stamp.  I colored them with my blends and used the coordinating framelits to cut them out.
I covered my butterflies with Wink Of Stella for some shimmer and then I covered the butterflies with our fine tip glue pen to give them some extra shine!  I finished the card by embossing the greeting in white and attaching to the card!  I have another card tomorrow sharing more from this suite!

On a personal note.  This week I lost a friend.  Jennifer Riordan was tragically killed on Tuesday while flying home from NYC.  I met Jennifer years ago at a Stampin' Up! workshop.  She truly was one of the most amazing woman I knew and the entire city of Albuquerque is grieving for her.  She leaves behind a husband and 2 young children.  Her family released a statement on Tuesday night, "In Jennifer's memory, please remember to always be kind, loving, caring and sharing."  Kind, loving, caring and sharing is truly how Jennifer lived her life.  Today when you go out in the world carry these qualities with you, let's all be kind, loving, caring and sharing.

New Colors and Enjoy Life

By now you're all caught up on the new Color Revamp.  If not check out this post I did last week that explains it all.  I'm so excited about the new colors!  I spent a lot of time last week redoing my filing cabinet where I store all my cardstock.  Files had to be relabled, moved, new ones added.  It meant I got to pull out my label maker so I was happy!  I always cut a small piece of cardstock to stick in the plastic tab that divides each color.  After I was done doing all the new colors I had LOTS of 1/2" strips of cardstock in all the new colors.  I decided to cover a piece of cardstock and make a card with them.
Some of the strips I cut down to 1/4", some I left at 1/2" I adhered them all diagonally and then stamped and heat embossed in clear an image from the new Enjoy Life set over.  The greeting is also embossed on Vellum and is also from the new Enjoy Life set.  I love all the new colors especially all lined up on a card like this, so pretty!!!!  Plus a great way to use up those scraps!!!

These are all products you can't get until June with the new catalog.  However if the new colors and the awesome Enjoy Life are on your wish list considering joining my team in May and you can get them in your starter kit or join my team today and preorder these and other amazing products in May!

Animal Outing Masking

I have had soooo much fun playing with all new stuff!!!  I have lots of cards with brand new products to share over the next week or so! Most of these products won't be available until June.  However if you LOVE something and can't wait until June contact me about joining and in May you can get BRAND NEW stuff in your starter kit!!  Yay!!!!  What's better than brand new stuff and joining my awesome team!!!??!  Today I have 2 super cute cards made with the new Animal Outing set.  We got this set free at On Stage and it is soooo cute!!!  I haven't been able to put it down!!!  I did a Facebook Live video last week on how I did the masking and stamping of these cards so check that out below.  I stamped them all identical then colored them with our Stampin' Blends and Watercolor Pencils.  This first card is done with the blends and you can see how bold and vibrant that color is.  Plus the coloring is super smooth and just beautiful!!!
This one done with the Watercolor Pencils gives a softer look.  I think I actually prefer this one.  While I love coloring with the Blends I LOVE the natural organic look to watercoloring on this card.  Both are super cute and you can't go wrong with either!  Remember to get these products early in May you need to join my team!!  Contact me today to join or JOIN NOW!

On Stage Wrap Up!

I had a great time at On Stage with my team! I was so excited that so many of them got to go.  We left on Thursday and drove halfway to Flagstaff, AZ.  There were a couple of stops on the way out.  Friday morning we got up early and headed to Vegas! We got to Las Vegas around lunch time, shopped in IKEA for a while then headed to the hotel.  Michelle and I were honored to be able to attend CentreStage on Friday night.  CentreStage is an event exclusively for Stampin' Up! leaders.  It was 80's themed and sooo much fun!!!  We got our catalog on Friday night and had a wonderful dinner and learned all the big news!!!
Brandi Barnard was our Stampin' Up! hostess with the mostess!  She's so cute and was so much fun!!!  We chatted a little about Shannon and how she attended my event last fall and I had great time getting to know Brandi!
Saturday we were up and out the door early to hit the ground running for On Stage!  I was fueled with lots of and lots of water and caffeine! On Stage started at 8:30am and went until about 5pm.  It was a full day packed with fun, demos, and lots and lots of info!
There were about 650 demonstrators at the Las Vegas event.  Event's were happening around the globe that day with multiple events in the USA.  I was fortunate to sit at a table with my entire team and with our new friend Cathy!
Stampin' Up! had lots of surprises throughout the day, including a cupcake break! Yay and YUM!
Michelle and I got to walk the stage for promoting to Silver Elite in February.  It was so much fun and I'm so glad I had Michelle to celebrate with!!!
The best part of On Stage was the people I surrounded myself with for the trip.  I drove up with a few of my team members and we had the best time throughout the entire trip!  These friendships and memories will last a lifetime!!!!!  On Stage certainly would not have been as enjoyable without these ladies.  Kim and I are BFF's!  We had a great time!
Finally here's myself and my team!  From L-R there's Anne, Kim, Me, Erin, Michelle and Carmelita!  Carmelita even joined us from CA! I'm proud and blessed to have such a strong and wonderful group of women to share this stamping journey with!  Can't wait to do it again ladies!!!

I'll be back Monday with all new posts and NEW products!  I've spent the week pulling retiring sets, inks, cardstocks and more! I need a couple days to regroup and get some stuff done!!!  Have a great weekend, I'll see you Monday!!!

Sliding Tag

Last weekend was Stampin' Up!'s On Stage event!  On Stage is a demonstrator only event that allows demonstrators from all over the world to meet up, share ideas, get exclusive training, see all new products and soooo much more!!!  I went with some of my team to Las Vegas, NV and we had a blast!!!  I gave all my team members this sweet gift! At On Stage we get an exclusive Stampin' Up! bag that you can only get at the event. Everyone has the same bag so I made tags for everyone to tie onto their bag so they'd know who's bag was whos. This is the outside of the tag. I used the Jar of Love stamp set and some of my favorite colors (Lemon Lime Twist, Powder Pink, Berry Burst, Tempting Turquoise, Island Indigo).
When you pull the top the whole thing slides up, but there's a surprise at the bottom too!  You name pops out!  Sooooo cute!!!  I made a few cards like this years and years ago, this is by far my most favorite version of this sliding technique!!  Fellow demonstrator Julie DiMatteo has a great tutorial on how to make a sliding treat holder.  Check out her video to make one.

I'll have a FULL wrap up of On Stage on my blog tomorrow!  Check back to see ALL the fun we had!

Thanks for looking, see you soon!!!
