Welcome to week 2 of my Spring and Easter Boxes Series. Today's box is my very favorite one, well ask me again next week LOL! My favorite bundle in the Annual Catalog has to be the Charming Duck Pond Bundle. I love everything about it. I haven't pulled it out lately but when I saw the treat for today's box in the store I couldn't help myself! There was a duck on the front and I immediately knew what bundle I would use, in fact I used the entire suite of products for this. My treat for today is Mother's Frosted Cookies Spring Edition. Soooo cute-and yummy! Yes please! My daughter loves these cookies and I've had to hid the box so she won't snatch them up.
For my box I took my color inspiration from the Lily Pond Lane DSP. I used Peach Pie for the box base and added some Peach Pie embellishments to coordinate, I used the Peach Pie Ribbon and the Dappled Dots. This unique box requires no glue and no trimming, fold and go! It's pretty amazing, I made another version of this box about 4 years ago here. I love to recreate and reimage fun boxes I've already done.
For my ducks, I die cut them with Peach Pie and Lemon Lolly Cardstock. I added some shading with Peach Pie Stampin' Blends. For the cattails I wanted to mimic the DSP so I die cut them in Basic White and used Stampin' Blends to color them. I have all the Stampin' Blends colors used in my supply list linked below. Make sure to check out the video too for all the details.
I love the way the box tucks in and closes. It's easy to open and once the cardstock knows how to fold it easy closes right back up. This is a fun over the top box, I'm not sure I'd make a lot of these, but for a few select and special people I'd happily take the time to make these. If you can't find the cookies other Easter treats will easily fit in here, the finished box is about 4 3/4" x 3" x 1".
