Welcome to week 10 of my Twelve Weeks of Christmas Series! Today I’m sharing a fun slider box with the Reindeer Days DSP. I have LOVED this DSP!! I’m also using the Tune In Dies for a fun retro style box. I saw a card by fellow demo Allison Okamitsu from Canada. I loved her fun card and I wanted to use the same idea for a box. I went with bold bright reds and greens for my box. I added some Pool Party stars for a fun retro feel to coordinate with our TV. The Reindeer Days DSP has soooo many options for a fun scene in your television so have fun and get creative!
There's lots of fun layers on this card, from the tag and bells to the television and greeting. I used Real Red for my box, and I'll show you how to reinforce the side walls of the box to make it stronger when it's pushed and pulled out of the slider box. I used Garden Green for my slider box, I typically don't use cardstock when I make a slider, because cardstock doesn't fold as easily as DSP so you have to score it and that means scoring down to the 16th of an inch. I felt that this box was worth getting into those nitty gritty score lines and I love the stability cardstock gives.
