Virtual Meeting Make and Takes

Last night I held a virtual meeting with my team. We have an amazing interactive Facebook group and I do lots of live videos for them with updates, tips and tricks and more.  Last night was our first Virtual Meeting, it was so much fun.  Prior to the meeting I mailed some make and take packets that contained the supplies for these 2  cards.  I also gave them a list of supplies to have on hand during the live video and we made these cards together.  The first one is one of my favorites.  It uses the Path of Petals set and Pressed Petals DSP.  I love this DSP.  It's pretty simple but so pretty.  The greetings in the Pat of Petal set are some of my favorites!!
Next we used the Modern Heart set.  I pre-embossed the heart in our new Sparkle White Embossing Powder for all the kits.  I knew not everyone would have this set and I wanted everyone to make this stunning card.  We simply used an aqua painter to add some color over the heart.  We finished the card with some of the new Reversible Ribbon and a greeting.  My team was able to substitute greetings with what they had if they didn't have the sets I did.  So I made sure to plan cards that would go with many different greetings.  My team has a lot of fun and if you'd like to join I'd love to have you on my team.  Joining is easy, sign up here and choose any $125 in product for only $99.  It's  a great time to join!  Shop my online store here.

Pressed Petals Designer Series Paper

The Pressed Petals Designer Series Paper is one of the prettiest papers ever!  I love the beautiful flowers that look as if they've been pressed right onto your card.  The colors are rich and gorgeous too.  Plus there's also lots of earthy patterns that are amazing too like wood textures and burlap.  So fun!!!  I made this card featuring the DSP.  It needs nothing else to make it shine!
I added a quick greeting using a greeting from the Lots of Happy set that is included in the Lots of Happy Card kit.  I also added just a little Lace Trim and a Merry Merlot cardstock piece to the right side to tie the greeting together.  What a fun and beautiful card and so simple.  If you love your DSP make sure you're using it!

Good Morning Magnolia Live

I am in love with this dreamy, beautiful magnolia card.  There's lots of coloring but it's worth it I promise!  I shared this card in my weekly Facebook Live.  You can catch my live on my Ruth's Stamping Corner Facebook Page every Tuesday at 3pm.  I used the Good Morning Magnolia Bundle for this card.  It's a gorgeous bundle with amazing greetings and images. This magnolia stamp is huge and almost the size of the card which makes for a great focal point.
The Stampin' Blends colors I used are: For the petals Flirty Flamingo Light and Dark and Light Petal Pink.  For the center of the flower I used Light Lovely Lipstick.  For the leaves I used Light Mossy Meadow and Dark Soft Sea Foam.  For the branch I used Light and Dark Soft Suede.  You can check out all the details of this card in my video below.

Beautiful Friendship

One stamp set that I'll be reaching for a LOT is the Beautiful Friendship set.  I love the watercolored images and the beautiful greetings in it.  It's easy and quick to make a gorgeous card in no time! This is a Z-Fold card but instead of opening from the side it opens up from the top.  I love that fun twist on it.
I love the colors in this card.  I used Flirty Flamingo, Granny Apple Green, Pineapple Punch and Highland Heather, and Lovely Lipstick.  Isn't it a great color combo!?!  The greeting stamped in Memento Black really pops off and I love the floral piece layered on a Black piece of cardstock.  You can expect LOTS for this set in the future.  Shop my online store here.

Modern Heart Sparkle

The Modern Heart set in the new catalog was one of my first MUST HAVE items.  I love this heart so much!!!  I love that there are endless ways to color it, add sparkle to it and more!  It's a great set to have and with greetings like 'you're my person', 'you're all heart', 'I just love you' why wouldn't you love this set!?!  I colored my heart using lots of blends. I used Flirty Flamingo, Mango Melody, Old Olive, Seaside Spray and Purple Posy.
I cut my heart out using my snips, it's really easy to fussy cut!  I added some Flax ribbon behind it.  I frayed each of the edges to give it more of a messy look.  I added my heart with Dimensionals and covered the entire thing in Wink of Stella.  I love the way this heart is colored it almost makes the sections of the heart look faceted.  So pretty!  I finished the card with some Noble Peacock Rhinestones.  I love it!  Shop my online store here.

Elephants

One of the stamp sets that stood out to me instantly in the catalog was the Wildly Happy set.  This set might be designed for use for a new baby but I can see soooo many other uses for this set.  They would make great Mother's/Father's day cards.  Great cards for anyone who loves animals and just fun and simple cards for kids too.  I kept this card very simple and stamped the Elephants in Memento Black and then used the brush work stamp from the Modern Heart stamp set to add some color to our elephant friends.  This is a quick and easy way to add color but not spend lots of time coloring.  Let's face it sometimes we don't have that time and we need a card!  I finished it with a simple 'for you' greeting.  Perfect for any occasion!  Shop my online store here.

Reeses Box

I have a cute, fun and simple box for you today! This box is super quick to make and you could make a stack of them for any occasion!  I started with a piece of Early Espresso Cardstock that is 4"x7 1/4".  On the 4" side score it at 3/4" and 3 1/4", rotate it and on the longer side score at 3/4", 1 1/2", 4", and 4 3/4".    The box is decorated simply with some Magnolia Lane DSP and a stamped greeting from the Stitched All Around set.

Trim the box as pictured.  I also used my Triple Corner Punch to round the corners of the tab and a 1/2" circle punch to add a finger hole on the opposite side making it easier to open.  Add adhesive as pictured as well.  The blue lines indicate where to put adhesive.  On the left tabs add just a small amount to the corner, this is where your small middle tabs will be adhered.  Once the small tabs are adhered the other side just folds over and adheres everything together.  Super simple!  I love it!

When assembled this box hold an individual Reese's.  These ones with the Reese's Pieces inside are my husbands and kids favorite!  This is a good size box and I'm sure you could fill it with all kinds of treats and gifts!

One Layout, Two Cards

I'm participating in a fun swap today.  Originally I thought I'd make this card for my swap.  It's so pretty and I love the soft colors.  I used the Bird Ballad DSP and layered it up on an embossed background.  Added a greeting some lace and pearls and the card is sooooo cute!  Then I read the instructions for the swap...clearly something I should have read to begin with LOL.
The featured colors should be Red, White, and Blue for the swap.  I immediately knew I wanted to use the beautiful Noble Peacock DSP.  I paired it wish Poppy Parade and of course our Whisper White.  I kept the layout and greeting exactly the same.  I used a different embossing folder and rhinestones instead of pearls.  I love them both!

Floral Essence and Noble Peacock DSP

On Tuesday I shared this GORGEOUS card on my Facebook Live.  I am completely in love with this card and how it came out.  I love the layered flowers from the Floral Essence! There are no coordinating dies for this set so you have to fussy cut the flowers but I think they're worth it.  I love the colors too!  So gorgeous!  I chose these colors because I wanted to incorporate the Noble Peacock DSP and use the Blueberry Bushel pattern.
The Noble Peacock DSP is sooooo stunning!!!  I share more about it in the video below.  To finish the card I added some of the Noble Peacock Rhinestones, which are equally as amazing as the DSP.  Check out all the details below on this card in the video.

Daisy Lane

If you love daisies, if you love flowers, or if you simply love a set with such versatility that you can use it for nearly any occasion that you'll LOVE the new Daisy Lane set!  PLUS you can get it bundled with the new daisy punch too!  I'm featuring this bundle as my class to go this month, you can check out all those details here.  Yes we have a daisy punch already but this new one is smaller and cuter and who doesn't love smaller and cuter!!!!  I used the smaller daisy image on both of these cards.  They're stamped the same way just in different colors.  The first one I wanted a bright array of flowers in rainbow colors.  I love it!  It's bright and cheerful!
The second one I thought what about shades of gray flowers with some pops of color to them.  I made this once featuring the new color Rococo Rose.  LOVE!!!!  I may do this with all 5 of the In Colors I love it so much!!!  The greetings on both cards are also from the Daisy Lane set.  So fun!

Petals Swap

Last week I had a swap with some of my team members.  The swap theme was anything from the preorder.  As demonstrators we got to preorder select new catalog products.  It's a huge perk of being a demonstrator!  This was the swap card I took.  I love these colors together.  Coastal Cabana and Poppy Parade.  Years and years ago we had some DSP with these colors in it and it was some of my favorite DSP EVER!!!!  I don't know why it's taken me so long to bring this color combo back!
You might recognize that stamp set, it's the Parcels and Petals set that I used in all my posts last week. Can you tell that I LOVE it!  I added some Metallic Pearls to the center of the flowers and some bakers twine to finish this beautiful card.  Check back on Thursday to see all the amazing swap cards that I received in my team swap.
