Silly Safari Zebra Cake Box-VIDEO

The new Silly Safari Stamp Set is sooooo cute!  I have had so much fun using it.  I shared an adorable fun fold last month featuring the giraffe, check it out here.  Today, I'm sharing a fun box using the zebra.  When I saw the zebra I knew immediately I'd be making a box for the Little Debbie Zebra Cakes-how could I not use those??!  They're perfect!  The zebra cakes are available pretty much year round at most grocery stores, if you can't find them you can use the Little Debbie Snack Finder.  Simply put in your zip code and snack you're looking for and it will pull up a list for you.  So handy!

My box is pretty simple.  I kept the stamping and decorations very simply, this is an easy one to mass produce for a party favor or to have on the ready at work.  The zebra is stamped using Memento and I used a Petal Pink Stampin' Blend just to add a little color to the nose and ears.  That's it!  No fussy coloring or cutting.  I used the Stylish Shapes Dies for the circles.  Punches could also be substituted as well as other shapes.  Get creative.  For my embellishments I used the Iridescent Striped Ribbon-this is on the Last Chance List get it while you can!  I also used the Loose Gold Sequins.  This is the most fussy part of the project to adhere them down.  If you're making a bunch of them you could easily sub in a different gem.

The DSP is from the Brights patterns.  I think the leaves worked perfectly!  My box is held closed with some button magnets.  I get mine on Amazon, search 'button magnets', I've bought them from different sellers in the past.  You could also get them from Total Element and I've heard Harbor Freight sells them so I need to check that out.  If you didn't want to use a magnet, maybe they're going to small children, you could use Velcro, ribbon or a belly band to keep the box closed.  Inside the box I used the Heartfelt Hexagon Punch to make it a little more fancy, totally optional.
