Happy Sale-a-Bration Sunday! Today I have a gorgeous card that features the Textures and Frames set. This is a set that I think a lot of people overlook. Don't look past this set! It's such a great set to have on hand when you need that little pop of texture in your backgrounds. Today I'm sharing an ombre card that we're making using the Blending Brushes. The brushes are some of my favorites! I LOVE them and use them all the time. You get a package of three, when you purchase them. You can wash them and reuse them or dedicate one to ever color or every color 'family' like I do. I have one brush for all my reds, one for my oranges, one for my greens, etc.... If you haven't tried them I encourage you to try them out!
I used Petal Pink, Pale Papaya and Pumpkin Pie for my colors today. This card could easily be adapted for any color pallet. A range of blues or greens or pinks would be so beautiful!!! After I ombre blended my background, I used the same colors and stamped the images from the Textures and Frames set onto the background for that subtle pop that really makes this card shine! I used some White Craft ink to stamp the splatters in. And finished it by splattering some Wink of Stella all over it! There's not lack of sparkle in this card! My greeting is from the Banner Year set along with the leaves. I stamped that onto some Basic White Cardstock die cut with the Seasonal Labels dies. I finished the card with some gold ribbon, die cut leaves with the Be Dazzling Paper and some Rhinestones. Check out my video for all the details on this card. I have a full supply list below. Today's project is soooo cute!!! I'm making another fun Halloween box, but you can modify this for any holiday. In my video I actually show an alternative non-Halloween box. There's still time to purchase supplies for Halloween if you want to get in on the Halloween crafting! Today's project I used the Clever Cats set. I just love these cute cats. They all have little attitudes that just represent cats perfectly.
I also brought in two other sets. The Cutest Halloween Set for the greeting. I LOVE the greetings in the Clever Cats Set but couldn't get any of them to work the way I wanted on this box so I opted for a greeting from the Cutest Halloween Set. The other set I'm using is the To The Moon Set. I stamped the moon behind the cat and die cut it with the Layering Circles Dies.
Inside my box I put a mini Kind bar. This was suggested to me by a friend on Facebook. If you have any suggestions of something I can make a box for please send them my way! I'm always looking for suggestions! Make sure to check out the video for all the details on this box. I sized the cardstock so that you could get two out of a sheet of cardstock.

Today's card I brought back out my favorite leaves stamp set. The Love of Leaves Set was featured in last years Holiday Catalog. I was soooo happy when it carried over into the Annual Catalog. I love these leaves, the dies provide such amazing stitching to each leaf. I pulled out some In Colors for this card. These In Colors have really been some of my favorites. I think Pale Papaya is just one of the best colors ever!! I wanted this card to be more fun and celebratory then fall themed, I used some greetings from the Create With Friends set.
I did fussy cut the 'celebrate'. I went a little crazy on the fussy cutting, if you're not into the fussy cutting thing stamping this on some vellum or even below the leaf would be equally as cute! I added some ribbon behind the scalloped rectangle from the Stitched So Sweetly Dies. I stamped and used the border die in the Love of Leaves Dies to add lots of texture to my background. World Card Making Day is approaching! This year I'm excited to share a fun class to go with you. The class will be held on Saturday October 2, 2021 at 10am (MT). Today's project is a pocket card that holds a gift card. If you didn't want to do a gift card you could slip a smaller, flat gift in there or have some extra room to write a message. Construction of the gift card is simple because we're using the Ombre Gift Bags. To make two pockets simply fold the bag in half and use some ribbon to keep it closed. You'll be left with two pockets, one for a message, one for the gift card. In the video I'll share the partial die cutting technique to make your gift card holder.
The Delicate Dahlias set is so versatile. It's one of our disINKtive sets, meaning that when you stamp the solid image you get those light and darker shades all at once. One ink, one stamp. So gorgeous! If you'd rather color, no problem! Just stamp the line images and color away!!! The only downside to this set is that there's no dies, so unfortunately you will have to fussy cut. If you didn't want to fussy cut I would just stamp the flower on a die cut, maybe a scalloped rectangle or fancy tag, and add it to your project. However you stamp it it's beautiful! I'll also share some tips on how to line up your image for perfect placement every time. For more on lining up your image check out this post.

I used the DSP to decorate the outside of the box. I even punched my ghost directly from the DSP. If you need to make a stack of these, this is a great one to make. They go together so quickly! The DSP on the top is 1 5/8" x 2 5/8". For the sides you'll need two pieces that are 2 5/8" x 7/8". The front piece is 1 5/8" x 7/8". You can add a piece to the back if you want.
The box lid opens and inside is that super cute hand sanitizer! The box is 3 3/4" x 8"

I'm super excited to join you for another project in my Sale-a-Bration Sundays Series! Every Sunday during Sale-a-Bration I'll feature a different Sale-a-Bration product. You can join me live in my Facebook VIP Group every Sunday at 9am MT or catch the replay on my YouTube channel. Today I'm featuring the Peaceful Prints DSP. This DSP is so versatile. There's beautiful holiday prints but also prints that would work year round or for masculine cards. It's a winner for sure! Today I'm sharing THREE fun fold cards all featuring the Peaceful Prints DSP!
For all three of my cards I started with a piece of DSP that is 4" x 12". Trimming your DSP to this size will give you three cards per sheet of DSP with almost no waste! The DSP is all mounted onto a 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" piece of cardstock (unless noted otherwise) to complete the card. All measurements are included in the text of this blog post but make sure to check out the video so you can see how they're all scored, trimmed and assembled.
First up is a fun gift card holder. This is a super simple fun fold but I know that many of us tend to give gift cards for the holidays and this one is simple and gorgeous! I used the Christmas Season Bundle to stamp my holly and leaves. I die cut them with the Seasonal Labels Dies, the label is also die cut with those same dies. The greeting is from the Christmas To Remember Set.
The gift card holder is inside the card. With the DSP you'll make a pocket. To make this card score the long side of your 4" x 12" DSP at 1", 3 1/2" and 6 3/4". Fold the score lines to create a pocket inside your card. Add a little glue to the sides to keep it closed and you have the perfect pocket for all your gift card giving!
The second card is a fun trifold card. I used the Peaceful Deer Bundle for my stamping. I colored my deer with Soft Suede Stampin' Blends and punched him out with the coordinating punch. His antlers are stamped onto the white cardstock behind him. I stamped my trees in Sahara Sand. To finish my deer I added a Red Rhinestone to his nose.
The first inside panel is done the same way, using similar inks. This time I colored my bunny with Gray Granite Stampin' Blends. You'll need two of the second largest scalloped rectangle from the Scalloped Contours Dies. You could use any large shape you want though!
To make the tri-fold card score the long side of your DSP at 3 3/8" on each side. Use a pencil to mark 1 1/2" from the bottom on each side. Then cut diagonally from the score line to the mark on each side. Add your first inside scalloped rectangle to the card. Then close the card and adhere the front scalloped rectangle directly over the inside one. It sound confusing, make sure to watch the video to see just how simple this card is!
Finally, our last card is my favorite! This is another tri-fold card but with a twist! For this card you'll score the long side of your DSP at 4" on each side. You'll have three 4" x 4" panels. The cardstock to mount this card on is 4 1/4" x 4 1/4". This card will fit in a standard envelope. I used the Peaceful Deer Bundle again for this card.
You'll do some die cutting into the DSP. Using the largest circle from your Layering Circles Dies, die cut through the top layer folded over. Position your die so it's halfway onto the DSP, overlapping the fold. Make sure your inside panel is NOT folded up. You don't want to cut through three layers, just two. Check the video for details.
I die cut another circle with the 2nd largest circle. With the card completely closed, adhere the circle to first inside panel (the one you did NOT cut). This card is so much fun!!! Sure to WOW all your friends and family.
