Flowering Cactus Product Medley Box-VIDEO

Happy New Years Eve!  I hope and pray that 2021 will be a better year for all of us!  I'm looking forward to many many crafting projects with you in the coming year!  Today I have one last project for 2020 and it's cute!!!  I used the new Flowering Cactus Product Medley.  I love product medleys because everything comes in one box.  You get the set, the dies, DSP and embellishments.  All you have to do is create!  There's no worrying about what will coordinate or what do I use!  It's all in the medley!  In addition to the medley I also used our brand new blending brushes.  They're so amazing!!  I love them!! 

This product medley and brushes will be in the mini catalog coming in just a few days on January 5, 2021!!!  You can purchase it in my online store then or you can get it now in your starter kit when you join my team!  Inside the box are some Oreo brownies that I found at my local grocery.  

The box is super easy to put together.  You'll need a piece of cardstock that is 10" x 7".  On the long side score at 2", 3 1/4", 8 3/4".  On the short side score at 1/2", 1 3/4", 3 3/4" and 5".  The DSP pieces you'll need: two that are 5 1/4" x 1", one that is 5 1/4" x 1 3/4" and one that is 1 3/4" x 1 3/4".  Check out the video for details.

Sweet Ice Cream Cake Box-VIDEO

Hello! I hope you had a great Christmas!  Ours was wonderful. Small and cozy but the kids were happy and we were able to stay in our PJs most of the day so that's a plus!  I have an adorable box to share with you today.  I'm made this box to fit the Reece's cakes but it should fit any snack cake!  

I'm using some brand new products on this box.  The cupcake is made from the Ice Cream Punch from the Sweet Ice Cream Bundle in the new mini catalog.  You can't have ice cream without some cake right?  It's super easy to make and just as sweet!!  I'm also using the Sweet Ice Cream set for the greeting and all the stamped sprinkles.  

Also new! The Polka Dot DSP is from a new Sale-a-Bration DSP package Flower and Field.  There's amazing floral patterns in there but also some pretty amazing basic patterns.  All of these sneak peek items can be purchased next week when the catalog launches on January 5, 2021.  You can also add them to your starter kit when you join my team.  

I love the angled side on this box and how quick and easy it is to put together!  For the box you'll need 2 pieces of cardstock, either coordinating colors or the same.  Each is 7" x 7" score all four sides at 1 3/4".  For the top box put one side together, and trim off corners from the opposite side.  Trim the side at an angle.  The bottom box assembles with all four sides. The belly band is 12" x 2".  Check out the video for details.

Blog Break

Happy Holidays my stamping friends!  I'm popping on quickly today to let you know that I'll be taking a blog break for the next couple of weeks.  I may pop in here and there with a couple of posts but for the next two weeks my blog will remain mostly silent.  I'm looking forward to some time off, to baking, and spending time with family.  I hope you're taking some time off to relax as well. I shared this box in my weekly Facebook Live yesterday.  Normally I go live every Wednesday at 3pm (Mountain Time).  This was my last live of this year.  I'll be back on January 5 (Tuesday) to kick off the new catalogs!  Then again on January 6 (Wednesday) for the regular Facebook Live.  I may pop into my VIP group over the break so you'll want to make sure you're in that group so you don't miss anything. This box is soooooo cute!!!!  It's pretty simple to make too.  It's a standard box.  but with a fancy belly band.  I really wanted to include the spoon so I had to make the belly band to accommodate the spoon.   

Inside the box is a box of cereal!  So cute right!!! I made this one with Fruit Loops and that's initially why I choose the berry sets but, berries go great with cereal so you could put any box in here.  In my video you'll see I use Frosted Flakes.  Still amazingly cute!  

To make the box you'll need a piece of cardstock that is 7 1/2" x 10".  

On the short side score at 1" and 5 3/4"

On the long side score at 1 3/4" , 4 3/4" , 6 1/2", and 9 1/2"

The belly band is two pieces of DSP cut to 8 3/4" x 2", after you punch with the Delightful Tag Topper Punch, score at 1 1/4"

There's so much to love about this card!  I'm using two new sets.  The first is the Art Gallery Bundle in the mini.  That gorgeous flower is a two-step stamp so you can stamp in coordinating colors for a beautiful, effortless result.  The second new set is the Heal Your Heart Set in the Sale-a-Bration Catalog.  The font and greetings are delicate and stunning!  Beautiful!  

I also added some new Sale-a-Bration DSP to this card.  The Oh So Ombre DSP is the perfect, subtle accent you need!  To add my flower without loosing the greeting I did some card surgery.  I used a craft knife and carefully cut around the 't' so that I could slide the stem of the flower under it.  I think the final result is well worth the effort, but I may not want to make a stack of this card.  I have a full supply list below.  Items that are available to purchase now are linked.  You can shop in my Online Store.

Todays card features the You Are Amazing Set.  This set actually coordinates with the You Are Amazing Project Kit.  The kit is so fun!!!  But aside from the kit this stamp set is a stand alone set!  I love that speech bubble!  I stamped it multiple times in Magenta Madness Coastal Cabana and Highland Heather.  There's also some fun stars in the set, using the same colors but stamping off first I stamped those around too.

NEW Blending Brushes

There's lots of sneak peeks on this card but I wanted to share the results of an amazing NEW product! We have amazing new Blending Brushes in the upcoming Mini Catalog.  Blending brushes aren't new to the paper crafting world but it is the first time Stampin' Up! has carried them and my life is now changed!  Prior to blending I did white heat emboss the image from a NEW Sale-a-Bration Set, Corner Bouquet.  Then we got down to blending!  You get a package of 3 when you purchase them and they're so soft!  I choose 3 colors on this card.  I used Granny Apple Green, Flirty Flamingo and Mango Melody.  

There are no harsh lines the colors blended seamlessly into each other.  Even the Granny Apple Green to Flirty Flamingo which I was afraid would make a muddy color.  Possibly if I kept going over it it would have but since they blend so well so quickly I didn't have to go over it repeated times.  The embossing resists all the blending and looks stunning!!  Watch for more with the blending brushes in the future, including some videos! To finish the card I added a greeting stamped on vellum because I couldn't bear to cover up the image.  I finished with some Artistry Blooms Sequins.

Snowman Season Hidden Hot Cocoa-VIDEO

I have a really fun and cute treat box to share with your today featuring the Snowman Season set!  The card opens to a hidden compartment where there’s a hot cocoa surprise waiting.  It’s so cute and so easy to make! I shared this in my weekly Facebook Live yesterday, you can like and follow me so you don't miss my next live video.  This card/box was so much fun!  You can adapt this to any Christmas or winter supplies you have.  Hot Cocoa is good all winter long, not just at Christmas!  I pulled out my Snowman Season Set and Snowman Punch which I haven't used at all this season and it's sooo cute!!!  What a sweet card!!!  If you didn't want to add the hot cocoa, this alone is a pretty cute card!  

I also pulled out my Artistry Blooms DSP, probably not the first DSP when you think winter but I love these colors together!  To make the hidden cocoa holder you need a separate piece of cardstock for the card or the outside and one for the box itself.  Make sure you check out my video for all the details on putting this guy together.  I have a full supply list below.  You can shop for supplies in my Online Store.  Don't forget to shop the Year End sale while you're shopping!

Sneak Peek-Handsomely Suited

I have a really fun sneak peek for you!  Believe it or not, I debated on whether or not I needed this suite of products.  In the end I finally decided to get it because I don't have a lot of masculine sets, well I'm sooo glad I got it.  I've seen sooo many amazing things done with it plus I've loved playing with it! I used lots of the new Well Suited DSP for this card. All the bow ties are die cut from different patterns in that pack.  The stamps and dies are from the Handsomely Suited Bundle.

I did a little stamping in the background and of course the greeting.  The greeting I masked off the word 'dads' on the bottom making the greeting simply read 'to one of the world's greatest'.  You could use that for anything!  This finished card is larger than the normal card I do but I really wanted to fit 5 bow ties!  The finished card is 4 1/4" x 6 1/4"

Add more dimension and texture to your die cut pieces. While the paper is still in the die use your Take Your Pick tool with the ball tip end and trace the inside of the die on the back of the paper. Pop it out of the die and you have maximum dimension with little work! Trace it on a foam mat, or your Stampin' Pierce Mat for more texture. Doing this left the bow ties with a rounded edge that I just LOVE, especially on this card.
