Yesterday I kicked off my Twelve Weeks of Christmas Series with an incredible Flip Flap Shutter Card. Today I'm sharing the alternate card that I shared at the end of my video. If you missed the video and want more information on how to make this card check out yesterday's blog post and video. In the video I'll walk you step by step through making the card. In yesterday's card I stamped my front panels, today I'm sharing that you can use DSP for just an equally stunning card.
I'm using the Sentimental Christmas DSP. This DSP is part of Stampin' Up!'s product give back. Today I'm kicking things off with a card that will WOW anyone you share it with. It's pretty magical, but after breaking it down step by step you'll see that it's not too complicated. It may or may not surprise you but I have a notebook that I keep ideas and notes in. One of the notes in my notebook has been to learn how to make a Flip Flap Shutter Card. I've seen many of them but they've always looked super intimidating. I finally sat down and told myself I'm going to make it! I found this tutorial on YouTube from Winged Horse Designs and her instructions were clear and I was finally able to try it. After making one I was blown away! I haven't stopped playing with it since! So here we are! I'm going to break it down step by step so you can have success as well! There's lots of pieces so I recommend getting all your pieces together before you even start. I also recommend using liquid glue for this project. I love our Tombow Multipurpose Glue. I know that some of you don't like liquid glue but you'll want that extra wiggle room.
I'm using the Reindeer Fun Set (I didn't use the dies but I linked the bundle below. You'll want the dies if you get the set. I promise!) and Reindeer Days DSP. I stamped my front panels but you can substitute more DSP or even a family photo if you don't want to stamp your front panels. This card is pretty amazing, you can see the different panels, well....when you slide it to the left....the panels pop up and flip. I stamped the reindeer in Early Espresso and colored it with Crumb Cake Stampin' Blends. If you love this card I'm sharing another version tomorrow on my blog.

I have a stinkin' cute card to share today. I'm using the Cutest Cows Stamp Set and Punch. This is a carry over product but it's soooo cute! I have loved everything about this set and so I wanted to pull it out again to make a stack of thank you cards. I used Stampin' Blends to color my images. All the colors are listed in the supply list below. To get some rusty spots on my milk jug, I used some Light Copper Clay and added a few spot. I colored over it blending it with Light Smoky Slate, blending the two colors makes the rusty spots a little more 'natural'. For my rooster I wanted some color, so I used Poppy Parade, Pool Party and Lost Lagoon. So cute! There's no punch for the rooster or jug so you have to fussy cut those.
I heat embossed my greeting in White on Early Espresso. I used the Country Woods DSP to add lots of fun patterns to the background. I finished the card with some sequins and Linen Thread. So adorable! I don't have measurements for this card, would you believe I mailed them all without grabbing the measurements first. It's a simple card to make, It's easy to substitute another set/DSP and make a completely different card. I have a full supply list below, you can shop for these products in my Online Store.
It's time for an adorable Halloween treat box! I love how simple this one is! You could sit down and make a ton of these in an afternoon. These are perfect for teacher gifts, coworkers, friend, family or even a super special trick or treater! I'm using the Potions and Spells Bundle. You'll find this one in our Online Exclusive section of my Online Store. The only stamping in the greeting. I die cut the cat from Basic Black Cardstock then added some glowing Granny Apple Green Rhinestone eyes (a tip I heard from Julie DiMatteo). I used my Stampin' Blends to color the Rhinestones.
I added some Wink Of Stella all over my cat to give it a little sparkle and fun texture. The Peach Pie Glimmer Paper tag is die cut with the Greetings of the Seasons Dies, also found in the Online Exclusive section. I used some new Halloween Memories Two Toned Cardstock for the Belly Band. This paper is so fun! My box is a basic clam shell style box and inside holds a Halloween Reese's treat!

The final card might be my favorite! I love all the pieces of this card and how well they work together. If you remember back on day 1 we did a different lantern, I did the candle the same way for this one because I loved the look of it so much. I used a Mini Blending Brush to add that soft glow to the lantern.
