Customer Apprecition Class

Last weekend I held my annual Customer Appreciation Class. This is a class I do every December. It's a free class for all of my customers.  These are the two cards that everyone made.  I love the colors on this first one. We used Painted Harvest and paired it up with Blushing Bride, Rococo Rose, Soft Sea Foam and Shaded Spruce.  LOVE!!!!

The second card is super cute and great for all those birthday cards you're going to mail next year!  We used the Broadway Birthday set and paired it up with the Good Morning Magnolia DSP.  So pretty!!!

I'm back!  I feel like it's been weeks since I've blogged and in some ways it has been weeks!  December has got to be one of the busiest months there is right?  I know we've been going non stop and even getting sick over the weekend didn't slow me down (probably why it's taking so long to get better right!) I plan on taking some time off over Christmas break so my posts through January 6th will be hit or miss.  I do have some things I want to share but it will be more of a random schedule instead of a Monday-Friday schedule.

Christmas Countdown

Yesterday I shared with you the amazing Disney themed calendar I made with our Christmas Countdown kit.  Today I have the Christmas version! I used the opposite side of the Disney boxes so it's the same kit!  Two occasions one kit!  I made all my boxes using the supplies in the kit.  I didn't add any extra stamps, ink or accessories.  I love it!!!  Get you Christmas Countdown kit here!  Countdown to your own special occasion!

Disney Countdown

Full disclaimer before we even get into this post.  I've debated sharing this or not because the hard truth is I don't have a list of supplies, I know people will ask.  I simply didn't make notes of any of that.  Lots of the punches I used are retired, so it wouldn't help anyway.  I will give basic instruction of what I did but this project was made as a gift for my family and it never occurred to me to create a tutorial or jot down supplies.  My apologies.  I did decided to finally share it because I love it and I want it on my blog so that in a few years I can still look back on it and say, wow that was a great project.  Now that that's all out of the way let's get down to the project itself.  I used the Christmas Countdown Project Kit from the Holiday Catalog to create a Disney countdown.  The plan for this was going to first reveal the trip to the kids, then second act as a countdown until we left.  Our last box was the day before we left, at 5:40am! I will list all the characters below on the bottom of the post in case you need help figuring some out.

Inside each box was a picture of something we'd need or do for/on our trip.  The first 5 or 6 boxes were not Disney specific.  One was an airplane another fireworks, etc.  After that the boxes were completely Disney or Walt Disney World related, pictures of Thunder Mountain, the Monorail, Spaceship Earth from EPCOT, etc.  I wanted the kids to spend some time guessing what it was before it was obvious.  I anticipated they'd know if 2-4 days, and they pretty much did....but they didn't reveal it to myself or my husband.  Partly because I think they wanted to be 100% sure that if they asked "are we going to WDW" they wanted to the answer to be yes.  There were all kinds of random places thrown out before they got to WDW but they were on the right track and they loved opening the boxes every morning even after they knew the destination.

You may think that because this was Disney themed that would have been a dead giveaway.  We're a Disney celebrating family.  My husband and I met at Disney World while we were both on internships there.  We have lots of Disney stuff all throughout our house so the fact that it was Disney on the outside doesn't mean anything in our house.  To make the whole thing, I created a list of 25 characters our family loves.  Once I had my list I worked on one character at a time.  I made the base of each character 1 7/8" square to fit on the boxes.  Then I just grabbed punches and started working.  Some is hand cut, lots of it is with punches though.  Once I had each character made I punched a half circle with the 1" Circle Punch from the top center of each one to fit on the box.  When all the characters were done I adhered them all to the box.  When we got home from our trip I made the Christmas side of the box on the opposite side so we'll still use this as a Christmas Countdown too.

Beautiful Friendship Card-VIDEO

I have a gorgeous card for you today.  I made this card yesterday in my Facebook Live.  The Beautiful Friendship set is probably one of my all time favorite sets.  I love that you can layer up the images and create beautiful projects.  I don't think I've ever made a bad card with this set.

I embossed the greeting with some Black Shimmer Embossing Powder on Vellum.  I love embossing on Vellum.  The background is stamped with the Birch Background set and finished the card with a bow using the Tricolored ribbon.  For all the details on this card check out my video.  Make sure to subscribe to my YouTube channel so you never miss a video.

Pressed Petals Birthday

Our Designer Series Paper is so amazing!  I love how stunning and gorgeous it is!  I only added some extra cardstock and a greeting to this card.  The DSP is doing all the hard work for me here.  If you're a paper hoarder, get that DSP and start cutting and using it!  Share it with your family and friends!  I finished off this card with a Linen Thread bow and some Holiday Rhinestones in the Night of Navy.  I love this card!!!

Seaside Notions Seahorse

I'm on a mission to get lots of birthday cards stamped and ready to go.  I'm planning on being on top of my birthday card mailing next year.  I don't know about you but I struggle with getting cards in the mail.  Normally I'm good about getting thank you cards out but birthday cards is my downfall.  My plan is to begin the new year with a stash of tons of cards ready to go!

This fun card was a great card to stock up on.  BUT it was a lot of fussy cutting!  Fussy cutting that seahorse was something else.  I think I made 10 or 12 of these, by the time I was done cutting the seahorse I was relieved.  But I think in the end it's worth it, maybe just not in bulk.  I used Stampin' Blends to color the sea weed or coral, whatever it is, which gives lots of great shading and dimension. Finish with some Wink of Stella and Rhinestones for sparkle!  What a fun bright card!

Christmas Reindeer Fold Flat Box-VIDEO!

I'm so super excited about this box!  It's one of my favorite boxes ever!!  It was inspired by a box that I got at Walt Disney World last week from The Ganachery in Disney Springs.  All the details on how to create this box are in the video make sure you check it out for instructions.

To make the box you'll need a piece of cardstock that is 9 7/8" x 7 1/2".  On the 9 7/8" side score at 1 1/8", 4 3/8", 5 1/2", and 8 3/4".  On the 7 1/2" side score at 1 1/8" and 6 3/8".  You'll need to create some diagonal score lines on four of your squares.  The box is the same in either direction so choose the middle ones and ones on either the left or right side.  The diagonal lines will go in toward the center of the bottom of the box.

When you're done assembling your box, the box will fold flat making it easy to store.  If you have a big event or want to have lots of boxes on hand this holiday season this is a great box to make.  When you're ready to fill simple fold the box back up.

The magnets hold the box closed.  This is such a fun box to make and you can make a bunch in no time! Check out my video for more details on this box and how to create it.  Subscribe to my YouTube Channel and never miss a video.

Blog Post 2900!

I started my blog way back in 2008. I started it because I wanted to have a reason to stamp every day.  I knew that if I was stamping every single day I'd get better and better at it.  Well I have and I'm continuing to learn new stamping techniques all the time.  My blog has come a long way, but there's always room for improvement.  I have plans that will hopefully be rolled out soon to better enhance my blog.  If you've stopped by my blog every day or if this is your first visit here THANK YOU!!!  I absolutely love what I do, and being able to stay home with my kids has been rewarding on so many levels and as a supporter of my business I have YOU to thank for that!  In honor of my 2900 blog post I have chosen 3 projects that I've made over the years that I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE!! Disney Cupcakes: I still have these cards and looked at them recently.  I had considered taking them with us on our Disney trip and using them for mousekeeping tips but 2 years later I still can't bear to part with them!

Gold Birthday: What is not to love about this card?!  There's beautiful water coloring, gold lettering, flowers, embossing!  There's too many thing!  LOVE!!

Glitter and Rainbows: Rainbows and gold glitter splatter all over!  Yes please!  I love this fun card!

Bath Bomb Gift Box

My friend is about to move into a new house and I wanted to give her an early housewarming gift.  She loves to take baths so I got her some fun bath bombs and made a super cute box to gift them in.  For the box I used the Monsters Bash DSP.  It's a Halloween DSP but the pattern is so beautiful you could use it year round!

The stamp sets I used were Beautiful Day for the flower and To A Wild Rose for the greeting.   I colored the flower with Rococo Rose and Old Olive Stampin' Blends.  And finished the box with a Rococo Rose Gathered Ribbon Bow.  

Inside there are 4 beautiful bath bombs.  PS they smell amazing!  They sat on my desk for a while and I loved smelling them!  I got the bath bombs from etsy you can shop her store here.  I know you're going to ask about the box, I cannot find my notes with all the measurement and details on it.  I'm so sorry!!  If I locate them I'll make sure to update this post.

Beautiful Friendship Birthday

I've probably shared more Beautiful Friendship cards then I can count!  This is one of my favorite stamp sets in the Annual Catalog.  Every time I use it I'm reminded why I love it so much!  This card is no exception.  I love the Gold Glimmer Paper accents and the colors all together work so well!  Who knew Mint Macaron, Merry Merlot, Rococo Rose and Daffodil Delight would be so beautiful together!  You can see and shop for all the supplies I used on this card here.

Snowflake Pillow Box

If you need a quick and fun way to give a small gift or even a gift card I have the solution!  This cute pillow box is so quick and easy to put together!  The Pillow Boxes come 10 boxes for only $5!  It's such deal!  All you have to do is decorate it!  I used some Brights DSP the Pacific Point pattern to wrap around my box. TIP this 6x6 pattern will be just a hair short to go around your box completely so make sure you start and end in the front so you can cover the missing area with your label.  Also make sure to wrap your DSP with the box assembled.  For the label I used the For Every Season Bundle to do all my stamping.  I die cut the label with the Ornate Frames Dies and finished the box with Holiday Rhinestones and White Bakers Twine.

Plaid Nugget Boxes

At my class this month I gave these super cute gift boxes.  Seriously aren't those bears the cutest!!!  EEEKK!!!  I may have gotten the Still Scenes Bundle for those little bears alone!  So cute!!!  The box is a hinged box that I made from the Wrapped In Plaid DSP.

Inside the boxes were 4 Hershey Nuggets also wrapped in the coordinating DSP.  I love it!!  I didn't create this box.  I was inspired by fellow demonstrator Julie, you can see her video here.

Stepped Up Snowman

At my class a couple weeks ago we made a card similar to this one.  I loved that card that I wanted to step it up a little.  You can see the original card here.  To step it up I added some Silver Glimmer Paper, a fun snow bank and lots more character to the snow man.  So cute!!!

More Gold Dipped Leaves

If you loved my card yesterday you'll love todays too!!  I had a few extra gold dipped leaves from yesterdays card so I made another card!  I love this one too!  I used all the same supplies as yesterday but added a greeting from Itty Bitty Birthdays and added some Petal Pink ribbon.  The Pear Pizzazz cardstock is embossed with the Scripty Folder.  I love this fun card.

Gold Dipped Leaves

I have a gorgeous card to share today!  I pulled out my Rooted In Nature Set along with my Nature's Roots Dies.  I love the final card!!!  I stamped the leaves over and over again in Soft Sea Foam, Petal Pink and Blushing Bride all over my background until it was covered.  I also die cut and embossed a few leaves in Blushing Bride and Petal Pink.  

To get the gold edges I pressed my Versamark Pad onto the bottom of them then dipped them into Gold Embossing Powder and heated them up.  I love that the Versamark ink got into all those embossed details on the leaves.  To finish the card I added some Gold Glimmer Dots, available only for a limited time!  The greeting is from Perennial Birthday and I love that it covers the bottom of the card.

Snow Front

It took me a while to get the Snow Front Set in the Holiday Catalog but I'm so glad I did.  I love builder sets like this and this one makes beautiful winter scenes!  For my card base I started by stamping the Birch Background Stamp in Crumb Cake on Crumb Cake Cardstock.  I added some DSP from the Neutral DSP Collection and a small piece of Crumb Cake Ribbon from the Come To Gather pack.

I did all my stamping on a Stitched Square in Pear Pizzazz and Soft Suede and heat embossed a greeting from the Itty Bitty Christmas set.  The Snow Front set doesn't come with any greetings so make sure you have some on hand to use.  For the fun scallop on the side I used one of the scalloped squares in the Layering Squares Dies and just trimmed it to my desired length.  LOVE that quick accent!  Finally I finished it with some Gold Pearls that colored with some Dark Soft Suede Blends.  I love that we can customize pearls to ANY color we need!  I did a couple layers to make sure I had a nice dark pearl.

Harvest Hellos With Stampin' Blends

I'm still using the Harvest Hellos Bundle and it's still one of my favorite in the entire Holiday Catalog.  If you haven't purchased yours yet make sure you do!  It's a MUST HAVE!  This fun Thanksgiving card features the pumpkin that I stamped in Pumpkin Pie ink and colored using Mango Melody Combo and Light Pumpkin Pie Blends.  I love the way it came out.  This would make a great tag for a Thanksgiving treat box too.

The greeting is from the Seaside Notions set.  I picked it up in last months flash sale and I couldn't love it more!  The greeting is cut out with the Ornate Frames Dies.  To finish the card I stamped lots of pumpkin leaves in Shaded Spruce on Shaded Spruce.  And finished with a Linen Thread Bow.

Cup of Christmas Facebook Live

If you joined me yesterday you saw me make this adorable Cup of Christmas card.  This stamp set is so much fun and super unique! The two mugs in it (striped and polka dots) are reversible!  So you can stamp your mug with the handle on the left or right! I love that versatility with ONE stamp!!!  For the background I used the Basic Patterns Decorative Masks to add that fun pattern.  Isn't it cool!?  I love it and it's super easy with the masks.  The whipped cream or foam on top of the mug is mad with the Pretty Label Punch.  I learned that tip from Allison Okamitsu, a fellow demonstrator in Canada.  To finish the card I made a Rococo Rose and Petal Pink candy cane using the coordinating dies and some Petal Pink and Rococo Rose ribbons.  For all the details on this card check out my video.  Don't miss next weeks super special Facebook Live!  LIKE my page today!  I have not one but THREE projects planned for you so don't miss it.

Glimmer Snowmen

The entire Snowman Season Suite is sooo cute!  But sometimes you just need a quick card and this card is that!  Plus how stinkin' adorable!!!  This would be a great card to mass produce if you're still looking for a fun Christmas card to make!  I used the Snowman Builder Punch as my main focus for this card.  The snowmen are punched from the Sparkle Glimmer Paper.  Their hats are from the Black Foil Paper.  I love the shine they give!  Their noses are also from the Sparkle Glimmer Paper, before I punched them I colored a scrap of paper with my Dark Pumpkin Pie Blend. I love that everything is so sparkly!!  I added some DSP from the Let It Snow pack and finally finished it with a greeting from the Itty Bitty Christmas.  I love how fun this card is!  Sure to brighten the day of anyone you send it to!

Dashing Deer Ornament

I don't know about you but now that it's November I am in full Christmas crafting mode all the time! I found these adorable tiny wreaths from a craft store, the wreath measures about 3"x3".  I bought a stack and I can't wait to make even more fun ornaments with it.  I pulled out my Dashing Deer set along with my Detailed Deer Dies.  I stamped it on Shimmer White Paper in Pretty Peacock.  I attached it to the wreath with hot glue and added a bow with the Scalloped Linen Trim.  So cute! Wouldn't these make perfect gifts!?
