Welcome to another week of adorable spring and Easter boxes. I used a Happy Spring greeting but a Happy Easter would work beautifully too. We're using the adorable Storybook Friends Bundle again. PS-we'll use them one more time next week too. This week's box might be my favorite! We're making a shadow box! I LOVE LOVE LOVE shadow boxes. They look super fancy and impressive. If you've never made a shadow box this could be the time to try. There is some strategic scoring and cutting but once you've got that done you're golden!
For the outside, my faux book cover I used Fresh Freesia and some of the Perennial Lavender DSP. I used small button magnets to keep mine closed. Velcro would also work or tie it up with some ribbon or add a fun belly band. Lots of options. I added ribbon and gems to finish my box. Of course I used Stampin' Blends to color my bunnies. I kept the coloring pretty simple. I added lots of fun shaped dies to add to the specialness of this box. The real magic is when you open the box.
Inside my box is a Hershey's Cookies 'n' Creme Bunny. This box was specifically made for these bunnies, however it is possible that Hershey's made other flavors of bunnies in this same size that would also work. Shadow Boxes are unique in that they're usually designed to fit only what is sized there to fit. The fit is normally a snug fit too, that certainly doesn't mean you can't put other stuff in it. If you're making this exact size box just be aware it is designed for this specific candy. If you find other things that fit I'd love to hear! I added some finger notches to help grab the treat. I found out however that the finger notches don't work great for this specific treat so I'm opting to leave them off in the one I make in the video.
