No Adhesive Triangle Box

Aren't these boxes the cutest!!!  They're super cute plus they don't require adhesive so they're even cuter!!!  LOL, I love a box with no adhesive!  I was inspired to make these boxes by Erica Cerwin.  You can find instructions to make the boxes on her video.  For both boxes I used the Night Before Christmas DSP and the Everything Festive Stamp Set.

The boxes are held closed with a magnet.  If you didn't want to use a magnet you could use Velcro too. I got my magnets from Total Element here.  You can also find them on Amazon.

Christmas Gleaming Cracker Boxes

I have 3 fun boxes to share with you today!!!  I shared these boxes with my team in our virtual meeting.  Join my team today! They're so much fun to make!  And quick.  I used DSP for my boxes both from the Holiday Catalog, Brightly Gleaming and Toile Tidings.  To make the fun topper you need the smaller ornament from the Gleaming Ornaments Punches.  After you score you line up your ornament punch with the score line in the middle and punch.  It's that easy for the box.  You can do both ends to make a 'cracker' type box, like I did with the box in Toile Tidings DSP.  Or you can add a score line to the bottom of you box and only punch the top, like I did with my Brightly Gleaming Box.  Either box is soooo cute!!!   Use these measurements for your boxes:
Double ended box

9" x 7 1/2"
On 7 1/2" side score at 1 3/4", 3 1/2", 5 1/4", 7"
Punch small ornament down center of score line on both sides of paper

Flat bottom box
9" x 7 1/2"
On 7 1/2" side score at 1 3/4", 3 1/2", 5 1/4", 7"
On 9" side score at 1 1/4"
Punch small ornament down center of score line only on top of paper

While I loved the DSP boxes I thought, this box is perfect for gifting a small bottle of wine!!  The boxes were slightly too small for that, so I modified the box to make it a little larger.  I used Mossy Meadow cardstock to make the box sturdier to hold the wine ;) then I added some DSP from the Brightly Gleaming DSP. To make the wine box use these measurments:

Wine box
10" x 8 1/2"
On 8 1/2" side score at 2", 4", 6", 8"
On 10" side score at 1 3/4"

Team Make and Takes

My team and I have so much fun together!  Last week I hosted a Virtual Team Meeting.  I hold this type of meeting every other month, on months that we don't get together in person.  The virtual meetings are great because people can tune in live or catch the reply when their schedule allows.  Plus it gives all my team members, local or long distance, a chance to get to know each other better.  I always send a make and take packet then we make the cards live together.  These were the two cards we made.  I love both of them!  Our first card features the Feels Like Frost DSP.  I love this DSP and the colors!  We used the Itty Bitty Christmas Greetings for both cards.  This is a must have set this holiday season!

The second card features the Night Before Christmas DSP and the In The Woods Dies.  These dies are fantastic and a great Christmas go to.  For the stars we used the Twinkle Builder Punch.  I love the scattering of stars around the card.  I would love to have you join us for our next virtual meeting!  You can join my team anytime here!

No Tricks

We are getting so close to Halloween!  Do you have all your treats together?  My kids love Halloween, but who wouldn't love a holiday that gives you free candy?!  I made this fun cad that would be perfect to send to anyone in the holiday spirit.  I used some Shimmery White Embossing Paste that I dyed Mossy Meadow to add the fun dotted background.  I used the Basic Pattern Masks to create that pattern.  If you haven't tried embossing paste it's so much fun!!  I used the Everything Festive set for my greeting.  I'm so glad I got this set.  I love the fun year round greetings in it.  Finally I added some bats from the To Every Season Bundle, another must have!

Snow Front Video

Did you catch my Facebook Live yesterday?  I made this gorgeous card on it.  I love the colors and the beautiful ink blending just makes me so happy!!!  We used the Snow Front Set from the Holiday Catalog, along with the Christmas Gleaming Set also in the Holiday Catalog.  That Merry Christmas Greeting is probably my favorite one this year, I've used it on so many cards!  We added lots of details to the card with some White Shimmer Paint, Denim Ribbon and Corrugated Embossing.  So pretty!!  For all the details on this card check out my video below.

To Every Season Facebook Live

I finally have a video for you!  It's been two weeks since I did a Facebook Live. I had planned to go live last week but ended up with a bad cold so I decided to postpone it until today!  Good news also in the video is lots of details about the new Paper Trimmer!  It's awesome you'll want to make sure it's on your wishlist! Walrus Be Your Friend

Who wouldn't love to receive this adorable walrus card in their mailbox!?  I LOVE him to pieces.  The We'll Walrus Be Friends set is one of my favorites.  I colored the Walrus using Smoky Slate and Pool Party Blends.  I fussy cut the walrus and added him to a banner I made with Whisper White cardstock.  I added some Flax Ribbon behind the banner and sprinkled some Holiday Rhinestones around the walrus.









For the background I used some Pool Party ink on Pool Party Cardstock and inked a fun pattern using the Pattern Party Decorative Masks.  Our masks are great for embossing paste but you can also ink over them too which makes an amazing background.

Thankful For You

I love the Gather Together Bundle sooooo much!!!  Every card I make using it makes me love it more and more!!!  This card is no exception!  I used the Dies from the bundle for the leaves and to cut out the pumpkin that is copper heat embossed.  The greeting is stamped on a stitched oval from the Stitched Shapes Dies and then layered onto a scalloped oval from the Layering Ovals Dies.  I've been using this combo a LOT lately!!!

I ran a piece of Mint Macaron cardstock through the Subtle Embossing Folder to add a little extra detail then finished the card with some In Color Faceted Dots in Pretty Peacock.  So pretty!!!!

Shades Of Purple Butterfly

I've been working on cleaning up lots of scraps and old card kits that have been sitting on my desk.  I made this card using one of the card kits from a previous class.  I love how beautiful it is with all the shades of purple we carry.  I love how beautifully Gorgeous Grape, Highland Heather and Purple Posy all coordinate with each other.  I used the Butterfly Duet Punch to punch 3 small butterflies and layered them up onto a stitched oval (Stitched Shapes Dies) and a scalloped oval (Layering Oval Dies).  I also cut out a label with the Stitched Nested Labels Dies.

The greeting is from the Butterfly Gala set.  I also used the small butterfly from that set to stamp the background in Gorgeous Grape.  To finish the card I used some Tricolor Ribbon and Glitter Enamel Dots.  I love the finished card!

Gingham Pumpkin

This might just be my favorite card that I've made with the Harvest Hellos Set.  It's so bright and fun!  I just love it!!!!!  I stamped the pumpkin with Mango Melody ink on some Mango Melody DSP from the Brights DSP pack.  I added some shading using the Mango Melody Blends then punched it out using the Apple Builder Punch.  Remember when you purchase the Harvest Hellos set and the Apple Builder Punch together in a bundle you save 10%!!! The greeting is stamped with Gorgeous Grape and punched out with the Everyday Label Punch.  I layered it all on a Stitched Nested Label Die.  

The card base is Mango Melody and I added some DSP from the Come To Gather DSP pack.  LOVE that DSP sooooo much!!!  To finish the card I added some strips of DSP from the Brights pack and finished the card with some Rhinestones from the Holiday Rhinestone collection and a bow tied with the Tricolored Ribbon.

Delivering Positive Thoughts

Isn't this little delivery man just the cutest!!!  I love it!!!  The You Always Deliver Set is so fun!!!! This card is really fun and quick to put together and if you like coloring with our blends he's perfect for coloring!  I stamped him on the largest square from the Stitched Shapes Dies. Then I colored him using LOTS of Stampin' Blends.  I'll list the colors below.  After he was colored I layered the square up on the largest scalloped square from the Layering Squares Dies.  I finished the card with some Neutrals DSP and some Denim Ribbon.  The card base is Balmy Blue with Night of Navy layers.

Fall Festival Class

Hello!  It's been a week since I've blogged.  You know sometimes things need to be prioritized and last week was one of those weeks.  I thought I was caught up on so much then I realized I actually wasn't! AHHHH! Last week was a week of scrambling and getting things done!  Plus the kids were off school last week which really threw off my tasks and schedule.  LOL!  Not to worry, I'm back this week with lots of fun projects!  On Saturday I had the pleasure of hosting my Fall Festival Class.  There were games like 'knock down the reinker bottles' and 'toss the Mini-curvy Keepsake box' and more!!!!  Lots of people won amazing prizes it was so much fun!  In between the games and prizes there was stamping.  These are the 4 cards that my guests made.  All fall themed, all amazing!  I love this Mint Macaron and Blushing Bride one.  I think it's my favorite!

I have yet to make a card I don't like with the Gather Together Bundle.  This is my favorite, favorite bundle in a long time!!!  These colors are so gorgeous together!  LOVE!!!

What's fall without some apples?!  I love this sweet apple punch and the coordinated set!  SWOON!!!!  I can't get enough of this bundle!  

Finally we did some watercoloring with some Watercolor pencils and Blender Pens.  Always a winning combo!!!  I have lots more coming up!  Don't miss it!

Memories and More Christmas Card

Gather Together With Mercury Glass Facebook Live

If you didn't have a chance to join me yesterday in my Facebook Live set an alarm and join me next week.  I go live every Thursday morning at 10am (MST).  You can find me on Facebook at 'Ruth's Stamping Corner'.  I have a beautiful and fun fall card for you today.  There's lots going on with this card.  Watercoloring, heat embossing, die cutting and embossing.  It all goes together to make a gorgeous card. The Gather Together Bundle is a hit and I cannot stop using it!!!  I started by watercoloring a piece of Watercolor Paper using Coastal Cabana, Rococo Rose and Grapefruit Grove ink.  Make sure you spritz your paper with a Spritzer first to make sure those colors are going to move.  Because your adding lots of water to this paper you need to use watercolor paper, other papers won't be able to handle the water on it.  The pumpkin is heat embossed with Silver Embossing Powder then watercolored with an Aqua Painter.

Those leaves are stunning!  The dies in the bundle not only cut but add all that amazing detail.  Once your watercolor piece is dry adhere the Mercury Glass over it.  It's so beautiful with all that color behind it!  Finish your card with some Rose Metallic Thread and some Wink of Stella on the Pumpkin. Puff Paint Penguins

Yesterday I shared a cute card featuring the Playful Penguins set, today I have another cute card!  There's lots of texture and dimension on this card plus it's super cute!  The penguins are stamped and fussy cut in Rococo Rose and Basic Gray.  I cut some snowy hill and inked the edges with Pool Party ink.  The hearts are from the Ride With Me Set.  I added a greeting from the Playful Penguins set to the bottom.

For all the texture on the penguins themselves I used the new Snowfall Accent Puff Paint.  It's such a fun product that adds lots of dimension.  I love that it gives the penguins a fluffy texture.  The puff paint also picks up some of the color under the penguins which makes them stand out more.  The puff paint is easy to use, after shaking the bottle well, apply some of the puff paint where you want it and simply heat with your heat tool until it's puffed.  It's so much fun to watch!

You're So Cool

The Playful Penguins set is sooo cute!  I've been having lots of fun with it. I love that even though it's in the Holiday Catalog you can use this set year round.   This is the perfect card for any time of the year.  I stamped my penguin in Coastal Cabana and his bow tie in Smoky Slate and fussy cut them out.  The rest of the card is pretty simple and quick to put together.  I used some DSP from the amazing Brights DSP Pack and stamped a greeting from the Playful Penguins set on a banner.

I popped up my penguin with Dimensionals on my card base.  I used my Dark Smoky Slate Blend to add lots of splatter for some added texture.  Finally the bow is from the Rococo Rose Gathered Ribbon. I trimmed off the edge of it and tied it in a bow.  I love the pop of color it adds!

October Class To Go

October's Class To Go kit is all planned and ready for you!  Every month I'll offer a class focused around a specific stamp set or bundle which includes PDF instructions.  There will be three different options for the Class To Go.  Prices will vary every month.  You have until the 10th of the month to sign up, all invoices MUST be paid by the 10th.  I'll then order supplies and get them mailed by the 20th of the month. PDFs will be sent on the 10th of the month.  I will ship within the USA only, there are additional shipping fees.  If you're local to me once your kit is ready I'll contact you to deliver. There are 3 different options for this kit: 

1) I need it all.  This kit includes the Christmas Gleaming Bundle (Christmas Gleaming Set and Gleaming Ornaments Punch Pack), supplies and the PDF instructions emailed to you. If you love the cards and love the products then this is the kit for you. If your kit needs to be shipped there is an additional $8 charge. 

2) Just the supplies.  This kit includes just the make and take supplies and PDF instructions emailed to you.  If you already have the products used in this months kit and you just want the cards, this is the kit for you!  If your kit needs to be shipped there is an additional $8 charge.
3) PDF only.  This option is for the PDF emailed to you. If you're a demonstrator or want to prep your own supplies this is the option for you. My team will get the PDF every month for free, now is a great time to join my team! The PDF will be sent via email on the 10th of the month.

This month there's a special add on!  You'll need Real Red and Shaded Spruce Stampin' Blends to complete two of the projects you can add them on for only $18! Make sure to indicate that you want the Blends Add On when you email me to reserve your kit.
