Tutorial Tuesday-stamping with window sheets

I have another Easter project for you! Only a few weeks left until Easter can you believe it! At our meeting last week, Amber showed us a super fun card with our new window sheets so I'd thought I'd show you too. It's such a fun technique. So to do this card you'll need a window sheet and a punch. I'm using the 1 3/4 circle punch. I'm using a good egg stamp set and our Rainbow Sherbet DSP. You'll also need your stamp a ma jig (SAMJ) for this card. Ok so lets get started!

Assemble your card together and punch your circle out. I have Gable Green CS and the DSP on white. Punched through all three with my 1 3/4 circle punch.

Stamp your image on your SAMJ positioning sheet.

Then line up your image inside of your card.

Stamp with staz-on.

Glue your window sheet on the inside of your card over the punched area. Close your card, on the outside of your card line up your image again with the SAMJ and stamp it on your window sheet with staz-on.

Color and decorate the image on the inside of your card.

When you close your card you'll see your colored image through the window sheet.

And when you open it, he's on the inside.
Isn't that just the cutest!

Ladybug INK challenge

Last month at our monthly demo meeting, my upline Amber gave us a challenge. It was this pretty flower. We watercolored it at the meeting then we had to take it home and attach it to a project. I made another scallop box. Can't help it, love this die! I put a little half pearl in the center of my flower.

I didn't put the sides on my box this time. I thought I would leave them off to create a pouch type box this time. And of course there's some Ghirardelli chocolate inside. I covered them with Rose Red DSP then used glue dots to attach them inside.

Here it is open..

Supplies:
Stamp Sets: Oval All, Embrace Life

Cardstock: White textured, watercolor, Rose Red, Rose Red DSP, White
Ink: Staz on, Rose Red, Old Olive Marker
Accessories: Regal Rose ribbon, scallop oval punch, large oval punch, glue dots, dimensionals, half pearls, big shot, scallop box die, blender pens

Celebrating Butterflies-and an anniversary!

Well today is a milestone for me. Six years ago today I became a Stampin' Up! demonstrator. I can't believe it's been 6 years. I've had so much fun and I've met some pretty wonderful people. Not just other demonstrators-though they're great but I truly think that I have the best customers in the world, they're all so nice and I thank every one of you from the bottom of my heart, goodness knows I wouldn't not have made it 6 years if it wasn't for fabulous people like you, who let me share what I love everyday!!!! So happy anniversary to me!!

Here's today project. Our demonstrator meeting is tonight. I'm always so excited for these meetings. They're always so much fun and I get inspired to create new fun stuff after every one. So here's my swap for tonight. The theme this month was any new set from the mini catalog-that will be released on April 1, but remember they are 4 Easter sets in there that you can get today! There are still a couple of days of Sale-a-Bration left too, so make sure you get your free stuff before time runs out! Ok back to the card, the set I used is Matchbox Messages. I stamped it in Regal Rose ink then punched it out with my small oval punch, then my large oval punch in Regal Rose and that's all layered on some white and Always Artichoke, where just the bottom is punched with the scallop oval. Really pretty. I had to use my butterfly die again, I just love it!

Supplies:
Stamp Sets: Matchbox Messages
Cardstock: Regal Rose, Always Artichoke, White, Candy Lane DSP, Regal Rose DSP from the level 1 hostess DSP pack
Ink: Regal Rose
Accessories: Big Shot, Butterfly die, Regal Rose ribbon, Small oval, Large oval, Scallop Oval and Eyelet border punches, dimensionals

Bunco at my house

It's my turn to host bunco at my house for our monthly bunco group. Remember the invitations. If you remember last year this is what I did. This year I didn't do as much but everything is still super cute. I found some plates and napkins at Hobby Lobby, on clearance, so I used those as my theme. They're super colorful plates using lots of bold brights colors.
So this year I made gift boxes and decorated their score cards. Everything coordinates and looks great. I used the box with scallops die and the basket and blooms die--that's where the flower came from. Don't look too close at my desk in the background, it's a disaster. I have about 42 different projects going on in the background, and when I work on different projects I keep them in different plastic boxes to keep all the pieces separate. Not to mention I have scraps and glue everywhere on my desk. Oh well I'm guessing I'm not the only one who's desk looks like this...or am I.....Nope there's gotta be someone else.

Here's a close up of one of the sets.

What's in the box?? What else, chocolate-do you really even need to ask anymore, (smile)!

Tutorial Tueday-Mini Easter Basket

I have another really fun Easter project for you today and I just know your going to love it! The idea for this project came from Tammy Fite. She's a demonstrator who demonstrated this project last month at the Albuquerque Regionals. I thought it was such a cute idea so I'll share it with you today too.
Here are the supplies you'll need: A word window punch, a box cut out using the big shot and the box #2 die, some ribbon and some DSP. I'm using the SAB ribbon and DSP for my project. You only have 1 week left to get the SAB stamp sets and ribbon for free. After March 31 they're no longer available. You'll also need some adhesive, I'm using SNAIL for mine but sticky strip, 2-way glue or tombow glue would also work great. So lets get started!

To make your basket cut off the top of the box #2, you'll need to cut it so that it's shorter then the word window punch. I cut mine about a 1/2 inch below the top score line.

Assemble your box.

Punch a bunch of word window punches. I think for my whole box I used 25-30 of them. You'll start sticking them along the outside of your box.

Keep going until your box is done. Isn't it cute.
With that pattern of paper, it looks almost like it's woven together.

Tie a ribbon around it and use another piece of ribbon for the handle, attach with brads. You can also use cardstock for the handle if you want something sturdier.

Here it is all done. It's not a very big basket but it would hold probably 2 eggs or just fill it up with jelly beans. What a cute project to leave on co-workers desks or a gift for a teacher. Super cute!!

Most Tools

Wow it's already March 23, where does the time go? That means that you only have about a week left to Sale-a-Brate! You can order directly from my website or email me or call me with your order by Friday and I'll give you FREE shipping!! If you order from my website you won't get the free shipping offer, you have to contact me to place your order. Ok on to today's card!
When this stamp set came out in the new catalog I thought it was just too cute and would make really nice guy cards. So with my last order my Mom bought it and let me borrow it. I cut out all the tools, well I used my blender pen to color them first then cut then out. I went through a bunch of tool belts making this card and finally settled on this one. Wouldn't it be cute to have a whole tool belt shaped card....I'll get to work on that.

Here's a close up of the tool belt, it's awfully cute isn't it?!

Stamp Sets: Totally Tool
Cardstock: Chocolate Chip, Close to Cocoa, Creamy Caramel, More Mustard, White

Welcome Baby

If you haven't figured out by now, I love punches! I have so many projects that I want to make with punches--no kidding--I have a ton, and just not enough time. I need to do a whole month of punch posts.....Hummmm, not a bad idea.....April's coming.......Ok back to the current project. My upline Amber sent me a picture of a version of this card from splitcoast, not sure who made it, it was just the picture so don't know who to give credit to, but this is no my original idea, though it's so cute I wish it were!
Of course you could make the carriage any color you want. I went with a gender neutral card here to please boys and girls.

Isn't it just so cute!!

Supplies:
Stamp Sets: Short and Sweet
Cardstock: Certainly Celery, Barely Banana, So Saffron DSP, Apricot Appeal
Ink: Old Olive
Accessories: Satin Ribbon, Big Shot, Textured plates, 1/2 inch circle punch, silver brads, scallop circle and border punches, dimensionals

Wandering Mind

I was beginning to think that this card would never get done. Not this one specifically but the 25 of them I needed to get done for a swap I'm in. I need to get them in the mail super fast so that I don't miss my deadline. And it's not like I haven't had the time. I've been working on them for about 3 weeks now. The reason it took so long was the technique I used. I paper pieced the chair she's sitting in and then watercolored the whole thing. And it took alot longer then I anticipated to cut the little chairs out. I think that they came out super cute but just took longer then I though. But I'm glad they're done.

The greeting says, "My mind not only wanders-sometimes it leaves me completely"
Supplies
Stamp Sets: Golden Oldies
Cardstock: Baja Breeze, Old Olive, White, Watercolor paper, Chocolate Chip, Parisian Breeze DSP
Ink-Staz on, Going Grey, More Mustard, Blush Blossom, Old Olive

Tutorial Tuesday-Bag with Scallops Bunny

Happy St Patrick's Day! I thought about doing a St. Patty's Day related tutorial but then saw these and quickly changed my mind. I'm looking forward to doing alot of Easter related projects for the next month!
I saw these on Rosemaries blog and boy is she creative. I just loved them so much that I decided to do a tutorial on them so that you can make them too! They are stinkin cute, aren't they!
For the Bunnies you'll need your big shot, the Scallop Box die, sticky strip, small oval punch, large oval punch, 3/4 inch circle punch, 1/2 circle punch, 1/4 inch circle punch and the scallop oval punch-if you don't have this punch just use the large oval-no problem, and some velcro. My bunny will be white, with pink. So when I refer to the colors that's what I'll use. For you bunny just substitute the color you need!

Here's what you'll punch out. For the ears: if you have the scallop oval punch punch 2 of those in white for the outside of the ears, if you don't have the scallop oval punch, just use the large oval punch. For the inside punch 2 large ovals in Pretty in Pink, if using the scallop oval or 2 small ovals, if using the large oval-make sense?
You'll need 2 large ovals in white for his feet, and 2 small ovals in white for his hands.
For his eyes: punch two 3/4 inch circles in white and two 1/2 inch circles in black
His nose is one 1/4 inch circle in Pretty in Pink
His tummy is 1 wide oval punch in Pretty in Pink

First thing you'll do is cut your box with the big shot then fold on all the score line.

Assemble your box with sticky strip. I've found the easiest way to assemble this box is to glue the bottom flaps first then the sides.

I used a little velcro to hold the box closed.

Start by attaching his feet (large oval) and hands (small oval).

Then attach his tummy, ears, eyes and nose. I ran the inside of his ears and his tummy through my big shot with the textured plates to emboss them and give them more dimension.

How cute is he!!!!

Thanks for looking, see you tomorrow!

Another Logan card

Well, are you ready for Monday? Nope-me either. How about a day of sleep, everything closes and we all just sleep. Yeah that sounds nice.
My stamp a stack over the weekend went great. I think on Saturday I spent like 4 hours at home. I was so tired on Saturday night, I fell asleep on the couch before 9:30. Sunday was just as busy so I didn't get much stamping time in this weekend but fortunately Logan did. My mom bought Logan a bunch of spring/summer clothes including an Easter outfit so Logan made Grandma a thank you card. I helped with the ribbon and punching, but he stamped the rest. Cute huh! I'll be back tomorrow with a tutorial, not sure what I'm doing yet so I'll surprise you!

Supplies
Stamp Set: Cheep Talk and Short and Sweet
Cardstock: So Saffron, Chocolate Chip, White, Delicate Dots SAB DSP
Ink: Certainly Celery, Bashful Blue and Chocolate Chip
Accessories: Saffron SAB ribbon, eyelet border punch, dimensionals

Thanks for looking see you tomorrow!

This card brought to you by the letter K

Well I'm happy to report that I am ready for my stamp a stack today and I finished with time to spare. Yeah! So onto todays card.
The title might seem a little confusing, it's brought to you by the letter K as in Karen! She loaned me her stamp set and some of her DSP to get these cards made so really this card would not exisit if not for Karen! Wow Karen you're turning into a superstar on my blog. You've been mentioned quite a bit in the past week! As I've mentioned before I'm in a bunco group that meets once a month and this month it's my turn to host so here's the invitation that I'm sending to everyone. I made 12 total, so that I could keep one too. This a unique fold for a card...

The top and bottom unfold and in the center there's the party info and I made a pocket in the bottom flap to hold directions to my house. Pretty cool huh! You could also make this card for another occasion and use the pocket to hold a gift card. That would be really cute! The party info and directions are just printed on copy paper off my computer.
Supplies:
Stamp Sets: Game Night-borrow from Karen-Thanks Karen!!!!
Cardstock: Black, Real Red, Vanilla, Jackpot DSP-also from Karen
Ink:Real Red, Black
Accessories: Glue dots, dimensionals--Are you kidding me that's it, pretty hard to believe!
Thanks for looking, see you Monday!
